Fexofenadine for Allergic Rhinitis "Allegra stops the drainage and the annoying need to clear my throat (post nasal drainage). But I'm dizzy these last couple of weeks since I've started it. I have a mild sore throat and headache, which I experienced previously when trying Allegra. I feel tired, nauseous, and have had a strange tingling in my legs occur twice this week. I'm thinking Allegra is not a good choice for me, despite its effectiveness."

Fexofenadine for Allergic Rhinitis "I have had bad allergies my entire life and was given many different medicines to try. This is the first medicine that actually worked for me. I took one 24-hour dose yesterday at 4 pm, and today at 10 am my nose is still clear. The only problem I had was that my blood pressure spiked up to 146/93 from a normal range of 120/70. During that time, I had a terrible headache and felt extremely dizzy. I went to bed and woke up to recheck my blood pressure. It was still elevated at 127/86, and I still have a slight headache, but I can breathe."

Fexofenadine for Allergic Rhinitis "I took two 180-mg doses of Allegra for hay fever on two consecutive nights. The day after the first dose, I experienced mild, intermittent nausea and reduced appetite. The morning after the second dose, I was bedridden for 3 days with severe nausea, intermittent sweats and chills, aberrant thoughts and dreams, and a headache. I did not vomit or have diarrhea, nor did I have an abnormal temperature. As I write this on the fourth day, I am just getting up and eating a little. This was like no stomach flu I've ever had -- I feel as though I have been poisoned. I firmly believe that my illness is a side effect from the Allegra."

For Urticaria "Took Telfast 180 mg. Gives some relief for allergies, but the side effects are horrible. Severe headache, anxiety, agitation, dry eyes, intense nightmares, insomnia, aches and pains, exhaustion. I was a terrified, angry mess on it that could not sleep or focus."

For Allergic Rhinitis "I find Fexofenadine HCL very effective against my allergies, which seem to be a year-round problem, but I have also found it gives me a headache, which doesn't go away with your average OTC medicines. I tried my mother's prescription, same dosage, different manufacturer, and no headache (weird), so I may have my doctor give me some, but otherwise it's GREAT!"

For Urticaria "Worse experience with this. I will never take it again. I only had one tablet, and within 10 minutes, my ears were ringing and thudding. Made me very drowsy. Woke up at 4 a.m. Severe night sweats, awful dreams. Have felt sick and dizzy all day and not with it. Dry mouth and headache. I don’t know if I just had a bad reaction, but I never experienced anything like this. I’m a single mom and had to look after my daughter, feeling like this was a very scary experience for me! Never again, and these should not be allowed to be bought over the counter. Awful and has put me off taking any type of this medication now."

Fexofenadine for Allergic Rhinitis "Allegra has been the best OTC antihistamine for me. I've had a minor increase in headache frequency since taking it, but this is far preferable to the side effects I've had from other allergy meds (like extreme drowsiness and nausea). The Allegra keeps me from sneezing and dripping snot all day, as well as makes it much easier for me to breathe!"

For Allergic Rhinitis "This medication didn't work for me. After a few days of taking it, I had a headache, back pain, nausea, a sore stomach, and poor appetite. I have gone back to over-the-counter medication."

For Urticaria "This drug is highly addictive. Once you stop taking it, you start having withdrawal symptoms: chest pains, headaches, and disturbed sleep. It takes a couple of weeks to get out of your system."
