Fexofenadine for Allergic Rhinitis "Allegra stops the drainage and the annoying need to clear my throat (post nasal drainage). But I'm dizzy these last couple of weeks since I've started it. I have a mild sore throat and headache, which I experienced previously when trying Allegra. I feel tired, nauseous, and have had a strange tingling in my legs occur twice this week. I'm thinking Allegra is not a good choice for me, despite its effectiveness."

Fexofenadine for Allergic Rhinitis "I have had bad allergies my entire life and was given many different medicines to try. This is the first medicine that actually worked for me. I took one 24-hour dose yesterday at 4 pm, and today at 10 am my nose is still clear. The only problem I had was that my blood pressure spiked up to 146/93 from a normal range of 120/70. During that time, I had a terrible headache and felt extremely dizzy. I went to bed and woke up to recheck my blood pressure. It was still elevated at 127/86, and I still have a slight headache, but I can breathe."

Fexofenadine for Allergic Rhinitis "I have had a lot of trouble finding a newer antihistamine that works well for me. I have tried all the 24-hour ones, and Allegra seemed to be the right fit, but I had to stop taking it when I noticed yucky side effects. I realized that it was causing GI issues, such as abdominal cramps, nausea, and diarrhea. I was also getting dizzy spells out of the blue. When I don't take the Allegra, I'm fine. It's a catch-22 because it does seem to help with my post-nasal drip, but it's not worth having GI issues over."

For Allergic Rhinitis "Both my girlfriend and I have allergies and took one each of 180 mg Allegra today and only today... With that said, my throat feels like it’s half shut, very dizzy upon standing, feel like death honestly. I’ll never take one again, I guess I’ll suffer with allergies."

For Urticaria "Worse experience with this. I will never take it again. I only had one tablet, and within 10 minutes, my ears were ringing and thudding. Made me very drowsy. Woke up at 4 a.m. Severe night sweats, awful dreams. Have felt sick and dizzy all day and not with it. Dry mouth and headache. I don’t know if I just had a bad reaction, but I never experienced anything like this. I’m a single mom and had to look after my daughter, feeling like this was a very scary experience for me! Never again, and these should not be allowed to be bought over the counter. Awful and has put me off taking any type of this medication now."

For Allergic Rhinitis "ENT prescribed generic for symptoms of unknown allergy causing dizziness and stuffy nose. The dizziness disappeared after 1 year of daily treatment. I used to use a cortisone nasal spray as well, but now only use saline nose spray for my nose stuffiness. It's so much better now, so I only take 1 in the am and 1 in the PM. It's also helped my major allergy to mosquito bites. I recently got a bee (not wasp or yellow jacket) sting and upped it back to 4 a day, and it did help me tolerate the itching and swelling. After 9 days, I developed cellulitis because of the sting, and the medication does nothing for that terrible itching. Only constant ice packs and major antibiotics are curing that."

Fexofenadine for Allergic Rhinitis "It worked very well for my allergies, but the problem was I couldn't function due to extreme dizziness, to the point of vomiting. I cannot take it, so I'm taking Zyrtec."

For Urticaria "I have severe chronic urticaria angioedema. My GP prescribed me 180 mg a day, which helped but did not resolve the problem. He then had me try Piriton, which made me sick and dizzy. He referred me to an immunologist who has now prescribed me 720 mg a day fexofenadine. It's been a week, I feel like a new person. The only downside is convincing my GP that my immunologist knows what he is doing, up dosing x 4! People, get yourself referred to an immunologist and get yourselves sorted out. Note: I am in the UK, and my immunologist was done via private health cover, and my drugs are via the NHS."
