For Acne "I've only been taking TriNessa for a month, but so far I love it. I was getting very self-conscious with my acne, and I was originally going to take Ortho Tri-Cyclen, but my doctor recommended TriNessa. I was VERY worried after reading some of these comments, but I'm so glad I gave it a try! Sure, my skin is not perfect (it's not a magic pill), but it's CONSIDERABLY clearer, and I have not had any nausea, headaches, or dizziness. My breasts have gotten a little sore (a couple of times), but it's a small price to pay for clear skin. Try TriNessa."

For Acne "I have taken TriNessa for about 8 months, and during maybe the first 2, I felt some nausea, but it quickly cleared my acne up and also helped with my heavy, painful menstrual cycle. I also noticed that I have a smaller appetite now, and I have lost 15 pounds during the summer, but I'm not complaining."

For Acne "I am 24, and I have been taking Trinessa for almost a month. I have nice skin as it is, but this birth control has helped with the normal small breakouts that we all get. I have noticed my skin 'glows' more now. On the downside, I felt nauseous every day for the first week. I couldn't eat because I felt so sick. I have cramps and feel bloated. I haven't gained any weight that I have noticed. I have had lower back pain and more cravings for food. BUT, my sex drive is through the roof, which I can't complain about. Overall, I hope the sickness goes away. If I didn't know I was on the pill, I'd think I was pregnant."

For Birth Control "I've tried 5 different brands of birth control pills over the past 8 years, but I've finally found the one. Although I experienced some horrible nausea during the first 2 months, I've always been susceptible to nausea when starting a new brand of BCP, so I know to wait at least 3 months for your body to stabilize. I'm now on my 4th month of TriNessa and I feel GREAT. No more nausea, no more mood swings - just crazy clear skin and a babyless womb. Best of all though, and the reason I gave up on all the other brands I've tried: TriNessa does not make me depressed. The other BCP made me suicidal and anxiety-ridden from the moment I started them. Ladies, our bodies are different but don't lose hope on the BCP that's perfect for you."

For Acne "I am 18 years old, and my dermatologist prescribed TriNessa for acne. I have taken it for 3 months. I have experienced pretty much every side effect on the list. I feel nauseous for every day on the first week of the pack and on most other days too! I have only gained a few pounds because of the extreme increase in appetite, but I've lost the weight since. My breasts have grown a whole cup size, even though I was already a D. And my breasts are always sore to the touch. I have occasional mood swings that make me very sad at times. On the bright side, my acne has gotten significantly better, and my hair is shiny and grows really fast! Also, my insurance completely covers it, it is literally $0! That's a plus as well!"

For Birth Control "I've been on TriNessa for a year and a half now. It's prevented pregnancy, made my boobs bigger, and made my periods more regular and lighter. However, I have been severely depressed and anxious. I never realized that it was because of TriNessa due to the fact that I've been dealing with anxiety and depression for 7 years now. However, ever since I started, I have been so anxious that, at one point, I was borderline anorexic from being nauseous with no appetite. I've had severe sleep disorders that have stemmed from the anxiety and depression, and I've had serious thoughts of suicide on multiple occasions. DO NOT take TriNessa if you have a history of anxiety or depression!!!"

For Birth Control "I was on Tri-Nessa for almost 6 months. It did its job on birth control. My acne was almost gone with this medication, and I felt less hormonal during my time of the month. Worked great for me. No abnormal bleeding with this one. The bad effect that happened to me: During the 6-month period, I gained 25 pounds. I went from 110 to 135 lbs. I wasn't like a twig, I was fit. But then after this, I got tired and just ate all the time. I also got really nauseous from the first 2 weeks. Works well, but the side effects were bad. Everybody is different, but this is what happened to me."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed Trinessa by my doctor in September of 2015 and have been taking it ever since. This is the only form of birth control that I have been on, which is why I gave it 9/10. It works very well. Prior to taking Trinessa, I had some acne, but ever since, I have clear skin and rarely ever get a pimple. I had one minor headache when I first began taking this medicine, but have not had one since. Make sure that you eat before or immediately after taking the pill, otherwise, you will feel nauseous. My periods are much lighter, and cramps are almost nonexistent. I definitely recommend this as a birth control."

For Birth Control "I recently went on TriNessa after being off of birth control for several years. I explained to my doctor that when I took BC pills in the past, I always had taken the low dose Ortho Tri-Cyclen. He prescribed me the normal dose of TriNessa anyways. Needless to say, I will never take these pills again. I was given a 90-day supply, and the first few days of taking it, I was constantly nauseous. Then, after about a month, I noticed a five-pound weight gain (I am a soldier in the US military, so I work out five days a week and nothing else could have caused this), which, by the time the prescription had run out, had ballooned up to almost fifteen pounds! After roughly a month, I started having horrible mood swings. Never again will I feed myself hormones."

For Birth Control "I haven't had any of the horrible side effects a lot of people wrote about on here. I have almost finished the light blue pills. The only problem I had was a slight discomfort in the bottom of my belly the first couple of days. I haven't had any breakouts, but I got a cyst on my forehead the first week. I left it alone, and it went away. I haven't had any nausea. I take the pill at breakfast with eggs and toast, or sometimes just peanut butter toast. So for anyone who is scared about taking birth control, please realize most people who review drugs have something negative to say. Don't be afraid to protect yourself."

For Birth Control "I'm 19, and this is my first birth control pill, and it has worked great! I've been on it for a little more than 4 months. Pros: • no pregnancies • didn't change my (mostly) clear skin • no missed periods • cramps are less painful • no side effects after the first month • no change in sex drive (if anything, it increased, lmao) Cons: • on the first month, I had nausea, decreased appetite, random cramps, increased anxiety (and I already have anxiety disorders) • period flow is still the same • period still lasts 4-5 days • random bloating (I don't mind it, tbh) • my belly is a bit bigger?"

For Birth Control "I've been taking Trinessa for about 2 and a half months. The first week upon taking it, I had severe abdominal pain and headaches. I was hungry all the time, but due to the warning that I would have increased cravings, I controlled it rather well. It seemed to get better throughout the month, my face was clearing up, I had energy again, but I still got minor to severe pains on a regular basis. My period came after three days of being on the inactive pills and lasted 4 days. My cramps improved drastically, and I was still hormonal, just less. I started back on the pills again, and the first day I experienced extreme nausea and vomited. The nausea has continued to follow me for the past weeks, now I am looking into the NuvaRing."

For Birth Control "For anyone who has any trouble with anxiety or depression, I HIGHLY suggest you do not try this birth control. I have been on this pill for about a week now, and increasingly over the past 5 days, I have been nauseated at night and SEVERELY depressed, and I mean severely. Crying constantly, overthinking, irritable, mood swings, anxious to no end. I am absolutely without a doubt getting off of this medicine. I am a nursing student who has many responsibilities and cannot deal with having no motivation to do homework. Please try your best to avoid this medication at all costs."

For Birth Control "On my first pack of TriNessa. I had slight nausea the first night of taking the pill and a headache the next day, but otherwise, no side effects. I haven't gained any weight or broken out at all. No crazy mood swings either! I was terrified to try this pill because of the awful reviews, but I have been totally normal."

For Birth Control "I started Trinessa a month and a half ago after being on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo for a year. So far, it's been great with helping my painful periods, clearing up acne, and preventing pregnancy. The only complaint I have is the slight nausea every now and then, along with feeling fatigued. I assume this should go away the more I use it, so right now, it's a waiting game. Other than that, I like it."

For Birth Control "I've been on this for a month and a half. At first, it made me nauseous every day, but just in the mornings. I take the pill at dinner time. The nausea has gone away the second month. It seemed like my boobs did get fuller. But my mood swings were bad! The first month, I felt like I hated everyone, especially my fiancé. I felt more depressed than usual and wanted to cry a lot. I knew I was being moody and stuck with the pill another month to see if my mood leveled out. So far, in my second month, I am still extra sensitive and cry easily."

For Birth Control "I have been on TriNessa now for nine months. Within the first couple of months, I started experiencing mood changes and random panic attacks. I immediately called my gyno, and she said it had nothing to do with the pill. About two months ago, I started experiencing horrible side effects, and they have continued to get progressively worse. I have HORRIBLE anxiety, depression, mood swings, nausea, mental confusion (this is the worst, I cannot focus, concentrate, and my memory is very poor), and I am very irritable. I even started seeing a therapist for the anxiety attacks. These side effects are a complete 180 to the person I used to be before taking it. I usually am a happy, fun, loving, and extremely cheerful person."

For Birth Control "I've been taking Trinessa-Lo pills for about 5 months now. So far in the past 5 months, I had experienced random nausea in the beginning, irregular spotting (which still happened to me last month), and I felt a bit more emotional. HOWEVER, this past week, I got my first ever panic attack and anxiety, which I've never felt before, and it's horrible. I do have a heavy, stress-filled workload as I'm a grad student, but I've never felt like this. I've also noticed a decreased tolerance to wearing my contact lenses, it's like there's sand in my eyes right when I put them in! I guess the only pros of the pills are that they kept my skin pimple-free, and periods light and short. I'm going to get off the pills soon and see if it helps. Will try to update."

For Birth Control "This is the first birth control and the only birth control I will ever try. I love it! I became sexually active about 9 months ago and decided to have the birth control at hand. I read all these reviews and became so scared, but I'm glad I tried it for myself! My boyfriend and I don't use condoms, but I've taken my birth control on time every day at the SAME TIME. I have never had weight gain, nausea, or vomiting, even in the beginning. I have had a pregnancy scare since I've been on it, and I get my period every fourth week of my cycle. I will continue this medicine until I decide to have children. Also, I've had bad acne for years and, to be honest, it hasn't all gone away, but it has not gotten worse at all."

For Birth Control "Before having my daughter, I was on Desogen for 5 years, with an amazing experience. It took me two years to get pregnant after stopping. Requested the same after the baby with little difference. Had to switch 3 months ago for insurance reasons and have been miserable since. I am way more moody (weepy/short fuse), I've gained 5-7 lbs. Terrible bloating the week before my period, as well as nausea/vomiting and bad cramps a few days before. Worst symptom: complete destruction of my sex drive. Like... I could really care less. I also started a week early this time for some reason. I am switching back next month and paying the $32 dollars a month until my doctor decides he believes me when I say that one child is enough for me."

For Birth Control "I have been on the pill for about 3 weeks now, and I recently started getting some side effects. My breasts are really sore (hurting), and they feel really tender. I feel bloated, and I even look bloated. I also noticed I get really nauseated at night. Also, my contact lenses just recently started bothering me. They are getting dry, and they feel like I have something in my eyes, but I don't. My face has cleared up, though! I just really hope these bad side effects don't last too long because it really sucks, and my body doesn't feel the same! :("

For Birth Control "I switched to TriNessa after being on a lower estrogen pill for three months. The previous pill caused some irregularity in my periods. TriNessa did regulate my period. But the improvements in my acne on the other pill unraveled a bit. I get acne just like I did before ever going on birth control. Sex drive has decreased slightly, but nothing detrimental. No weight gain, but I do have one terrible evening of nausea once a month during the week before the placebo pills."

For Birth Control "Ever since I got on TriNessa, horrible experience by far! I'm nauseated all the time, even with a meal, even changed times to see if that would help. Nothing worked, and I have anxiety, that went up so much ever since I've been taking TriNessa. I don't feel motivated to do anything. I just don't feel myself. I'm officially tossing this out, I have 6 more pills left, not worth it!!!"

For Birth Control "I have been on TriNessa for about 10 months and I have had a good experience! This is the first birth control I've ever taken. My whole life, I have had very regular, easy periods. I used to have cramps the first day that would last about 6 days. Now my period lasts about 4 days, and I don't have any cramps! My acne is loads better, my boobs got bigger. I gained about 5 pounds but have also slipped on my healthy eating/working out, so that could also be why. I take it at 7 pm every night because I did feel slightly nauseous when I took it in the morning when I first started taking TriNessa. I sleep great, my anxiety is actually better. Overall, a good experience-my only complaint is that I seem to cry/get more emotional over silly things!"

For Acne "I’ve been on this pill for exactly a month. It’s my first time ever being on birth control, so I didn’t really know what to expect, but I’m very pleased with it so far! It’s helped my acne-which I’ve had since I was a sophomore in high school, I’m 21 now! Nothing I ever tried cleared it! And TriNessa has made it so much better in only a month. It’s also regulated my period. I do get nauseous and terrible mood swings, but it’s not anything I can’t put up with. Some days are better than others, though, lol. Overall, very pleased with this birth control! If you have acne and have had a hard time (like myself) trying to get rid of it-this is definitely the one!"
