For Birth Control "The pill started great until every time I take it I want to vomit all the time. Practically, had the experience of a pregnant woman. I gained weight, was expected, and had terrible headaches that don't go away for hours. Impossible to sleep without wanting to vomit. I've been having emotional problems, feeling depressed and crying without reason."

For Birth Control "I've been on TriNessa for about two years, and I love it. My skin is clear, my periods are usually only 4 days long with no severe cramps, and I haven't had any noticeable side effects like mood swings or weight gain. In fact, I've lost almost thirty pounds in recent months through diet and exercise, so losing weight hasn't been an issue either. I've tried so many kinds of BC (the shot, the ring, other pills), and so far, this one is my favorite."

For Birth Control "I've seen a lot of negative reviews, so I felt I'd share a good one. Ortho Novum 777 made my hair fall out, mood swings, and weight gain. Switched to Trinessa. Hair stopped falling out, lost 4 pounds in 3 weeks, no mood swings, super happy all the time, flawless skin even though Necon gave me acne, but I don't have it naturally. Sex drive is through the roof, which my boyfriend loves! No nausea, headaches, or any other crazy things. GREAT PILL. You don't know until you try! Also, I'm 20 years old, almost 21. Ortho Novum 777 and Lo Loestrin Fe had terrible side effects. Also took Reclipsen (Ortho-cept) for about 3 years, no problems."

For Birth Control "I was on the Ortho-Tri-Cyclen-Lo for 4 years, but my insurance won't cover it anymore, so my doctor switched me to TriNessa. It's been almost a month I've been taking it, and my husband and I love it. I was scared at first because of the bad reviews, such as weight gain and depression. But with me, it's been good so far. No headaches, I've lost weight because, with Ortho, I was bloated a lot. I'm more interested in sexual activities, so my husband is happy with that. The only thing I don't really like is I'm a little bit more emotional, but not moody or crabby."

For Birth Control "I have only been on this medication for 3 weeks. Already, I am an emotional mess. I'm exhausted all the time. Not to mention my husband and I were having sex almost every day. In my first week on it, I didn't even want him to touch me. He said I seem detached. We tried, but I can’t even get turned on. No sex drive whatsoever. For the sake of my relationship and my sanity, I have decided to stop taking it..."

For Birth Control "I was on Depo for six years and recently switched. So far, I love this birth control. My skin is so clear and glowing. I have short periods but mild headaches and mood swings. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone because of the minimal side effects. I love that my weight is under control."

For Birth Control "I've tried 5 different brands of birth control pills over the past 8 years, but I've finally found the one. Although I experienced some horrible nausea during the first 2 months, I've always been susceptible to nausea when starting a new brand of BCP, so I know to wait at least 3 months for your body to stabilize. I'm now on my 4th month of TriNessa and I feel GREAT. No more nausea, no more mood swings - just crazy clear skin and a babyless womb. Best of all though, and the reason I gave up on all the other brands I've tried: TriNessa does not make me depressed. The other BCP made me suicidal and anxiety-ridden from the moment I started them. Ladies, our bodies are different but don't lose hope on the BCP that's perfect for you."

For Acne "I am 18 years old, and my dermatologist prescribed TriNessa for acne. I have taken it for 3 months. I have experienced pretty much every side effect on the list. I feel nauseous for every day on the first week of the pack and on most other days too! I have only gained a few pounds because of the extreme increase in appetite, but I've lost the weight since. My breasts have grown a whole cup size, even though I was already a D. And my breasts are always sore to the touch. I have occasional mood swings that make me very sad at times. On the bright side, my acne has gotten significantly better, and my hair is shiny and grows really fast! Also, my insurance completely covers it, it is literally $0! That's a plus as well!"

For Birth Control "Over 2 months... I've gained 10 lbs, awful mood swings, headaches (which I never used to get), and fatigue. I switched to this to help with my spotting, but I feel like I'd take the spotting over this any day! Not happy."

For Birth Control "I was switched to TriNessa from Tri-Sprintec after switching insurance companies. Before I started taking it, I came to this site and read a lot of terrible reviews. I was about to go back to the doctor and ask to write my prescription for Tri-Sprintec only but decided to give TriNessa a try. I did not start TriNessa on the same cycle I had been on with Tri-Sprintec for the past two years and did experience a longer than normal period (about 8 days, but very light). Now, on my second month, I have not gained any weight, have not had mood swings, and my period is actually lighter now than it was with Tri-Sprintec (only three days and very light). I will, without a doubt, stay on TriNessa and recommend it to others."

For Acne "Overall, I've had good luck. I went on it to treat my acne. For the first 2 weeks, my skin on my face and back got so bad. Everything was inflamed to the point where sitting and leaning up against something was painful. Also, for the first month (my hormones were out of whack trying to adjust), I was having intense mood swings. I was annoyed and easily irritated by everything and had no patience, causing me to snap at times uncontrollably. When it got to this point, I wanted nothing more than to get off the medicine. But I'm so glad I stayed on it. After a month, things got better. My body adjusted. No more severe mood swings and my acne is clear. I occasionally get breakouts the week before my period. No pregnancy and no weight gain either. Definitely try it!"

For Birth Control "I recently went on TriNessa after being off of birth control for several years. I explained to my doctor that when I took BC pills in the past, I always had taken the low dose Ortho Tri-Cyclen. He prescribed me the normal dose of TriNessa anyways. Needless to say, I will never take these pills again. I was given a 90-day supply, and the first few days of taking it, I was constantly nauseous. Then, after about a month, I noticed a five-pound weight gain (I am a soldier in the US military, so I work out five days a week and nothing else could have caused this), which, by the time the prescription had run out, had ballooned up to almost fifteen pounds! After roughly a month, I started having horrible mood swings. Never again will I feed myself hormones."

For Birth Control "I have never written a review for something in my life, but I am hoping I will help someone so they do not go through what I went through. DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICATION. EVER. I started taking TriNessa when my pharmacy ran out of my TriSprintec. I did not think anything of it and began taking the pill. However, with a couple of days of taking the pills, I was having severe depression, mood swings, then after a while, I eventually gained 20+ pounds and I got acne, which I have not had in over 5 years. DO NOT TAKE TRINESSA. I hope someone will read the reviews and not put themselves through what I went through...."

For Birth Control "I've been on TriNessa for 5 years. Age 17 to 21. My doctor prescribed it for hormonal acne I had. I also use it for birth control, and it has worked perfectly. The first two months, I had mood swings, which is to be expected when putting hormones into yourself. I went up two cup sizes. I didn't notice it clearing my acne for about 2 or 3 months, but it's worth the wait. I do still get cramps, but nothing a motion can't fix. My acne is still present occasionally, but that is definitely due to genetics. The pill makes my periods extremely regular and accurate, which is great. I get them the fourth Wednesday of every month, always around 10-11 am. I would recommend."

For Birth Control "For anyone who has any trouble with anxiety or depression, I HIGHLY suggest you do not try this birth control. I have been on this pill for about a week now, and increasingly over the past 5 days, I have been nauseated at night and SEVERELY depressed, and I mean severely. Crying constantly, overthinking, irritable, mood swings, anxious to no end. I am absolutely without a doubt getting off of this medicine. I am a nursing student who has many responsibilities and cannot deal with having no motivation to do homework. Please try your best to avoid this medication at all costs."

For Acne "Before getting on this, I was experiencing severe acne after having tried a new skincare system and foundation. I didn't even know I was capable of having skin that bad. I was so embarrassed. I had never been on birth control before (I'm 21), but I was desperate. I had my doctor prescribe this to me. I would say for the first month or so, my acne got worse - especially around my chin area. I also had terrible mood swings and depression in the beginning, but I kept going and my skin started to get clearer. Then, right before starting my 5th pack, I broke out again. But it was like all the acne that had been underneath my skin came up and then disappeared. Now, on month 6, I'm pretty much clear besides hyperpigmentation. Be patient!!!"

For Birth Control "I've been on TriNessa for a year now. I've never experienced any weight gain or nausea. Also, it's done a good job preventing pregnancy for me. What I like most about it is, out of the 10 different birth controls I've tried, TriNessa has kept my skin the clearest. I've had no bad experience with TriNessa. I do have slight mood swings here and there, but nothing too extreme."

For Birth Control "I've been on this for a month and a half. At first, it made me nauseous every day, but just in the mornings. I take the pill at dinner time. The nausea has gone away the second month. It seemed like my boobs did get fuller. But my mood swings were bad! The first month, I felt like I hated everyone, especially my fiancé. I felt more depressed than usual and wanted to cry a lot. I knew I was being moody and stuck with the pill another month to see if my mood leveled out. So far, in my second month, I am still extra sensitive and cry easily."

For Birth Control "I have been on TriNessa now for nine months. Within the first couple of months, I started experiencing mood changes and random panic attacks. I immediately called my gyno, and she said it had nothing to do with the pill. About two months ago, I started experiencing horrible side effects, and they have continued to get progressively worse. I have HORRIBLE anxiety, depression, mood swings, nausea, mental confusion (this is the worst, I cannot focus, concentrate, and my memory is very poor), and I am very irritable. I even started seeing a therapist for the anxiety attacks. These side effects are a complete 180 to the person I used to be before taking it. I usually am a happy, fun, loving, and extremely cheerful person."

For Birth Control "Trinessa was great at first! I have always had pretty good skin, and it has not altered that. I did not gain weight, and my period was lighter. Unfortunately, I experienced a lot more cons than pros. First, I noticed that I was unable to control my blood pressure. It was to the point where I almost needed pills for my blood pressure, and I have never had a problem previously. Aside from the blood pressure, I was over-emotional. I'm a very outgoing person, but I found it hard to be around others these past few months because I was annoying! I cried about everything. I was supremely jealous if my friends hung out without me, and I'm never like that. I would get sad in the middle of the day or night with no explanation. I feel a tremendous change after stopping."

For Birth Control "I've been taking Trinessa-Lo pills for about 5 months now. So far in the past 5 months, I had experienced random nausea in the beginning, irregular spotting (which still happened to me last month), and I felt a bit more emotional. HOWEVER, this past week, I got my first ever panic attack and anxiety, which I've never felt before, and it's horrible. I do have a heavy, stress-filled workload as I'm a grad student, but I've never felt like this. I've also noticed a decreased tolerance to wearing my contact lenses, it's like there's sand in my eyes right when I put them in! I guess the only pros of the pills are that they kept my skin pimple-free, and periods light and short. I'm going to get off the pills soon and see if it helps. Will try to update."

For Birth Control "I was on TriNessa for 5 months, and at first, everything went well. I had no problems with it, but after my 3rd month, I started noticing really bad emotional changes. I started off being moody, and then it went on to crying every day at night. I got to the point where I was really depressed and didn't want to do anything. Oh, and also my jaw would hurt a lot after taking the pill."

For Birth Control "I am 20 and started taking TriNessa about a month ago. It's my first time using birth control, and I wanted to get on it to help regulate my periods and to help with cramps. I'll admit, after hearing about some awful reviews about this specific birth control, I was a little worried. Especially about the mood swings and whatnot because my boyfriend and I were already having problems with me freaking out about the tiniest things. After about a week of being on it, my mood swings got a little bit worse, and I would cry about anything, but it went away quickly, and I mean they WENT AWAY. I am completely chill now. I haven't had weight gain or any other side effect. I love it."

For Acne "Not sexually active, so I can't tell how it helps in pregnancy prevention. It did stop spotting in between periods, but it destroyed my skin. Particularly along my jawline (jawline acne is typically hormonal), my skin broke out the entire duration of using TriNessa. It was the hard, painful acne that left behind dark marks when they had run their course. I stayed on the pill for three months to make sure it was the pill causing the acne, and it was. During the placebo pill week when you get your period, my skin would clear up. Until I had to start the pill again, that is. Beyond that, my emotions were so out of whack on this pill that I was constantly on the verge of tears when I am a silly, easygoing girl who is extremely positive."
