For Birth Control "The pill started great until every time I take it I want to vomit all the time. Practically, had the experience of a pregnant woman. I gained weight, was expected, and had terrible headaches that don't go away for hours. Impossible to sleep without wanting to vomit. I've been having emotional problems, feeling depressed and crying without reason."

For Acne "I've only been taking TriNessa for a month, but so far I love it. I was getting very self-conscious with my acne, and I was originally going to take Ortho Tri-Cyclen, but my doctor recommended TriNessa. I was VERY worried after reading some of these comments, but I'm so glad I gave it a try! Sure, my skin is not perfect (it's not a magic pill), but it's CONSIDERABLY clearer, and I have not had any nausea, headaches, or dizziness. My breasts have gotten a little sore (a couple of times), but it's a small price to pay for clear skin. Try TriNessa."

For Birth Control "I was on the Ortho-Tri-Cyclen-Lo for 4 years, but my insurance won't cover it anymore, so my doctor switched me to TriNessa. It's been almost a month I've been taking it, and my husband and I love it. I was scared at first because of the bad reviews, such as weight gain and depression. But with me, it's been good so far. No headaches, I've lost weight because, with Ortho, I was bloated a lot. I'm more interested in sexual activities, so my husband is happy with that. The only thing I don't really like is I'm a little bit more emotional, but not moody or crabby."

For Birth Control "I was on Depo for six years and recently switched. So far, I love this birth control. My skin is so clear and glowing. I have short periods but mild headaches and mood swings. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone because of the minimal side effects. I love that my weight is under control."

For Birth Control "Over 2 months... I've gained 10 lbs, awful mood swings, headaches (which I never used to get), and fatigue. I switched to this to help with my spotting, but I feel like I'd take the spotting over this any day! Not happy."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed Trinessa by my doctor in September of 2015 and have been taking it ever since. This is the only form of birth control that I have been on, which is why I gave it 9/10. It works very well. Prior to taking Trinessa, I had some acne, but ever since, I have clear skin and rarely ever get a pimple. I had one minor headache when I first began taking this medicine, but have not had one since. Make sure that you eat before or immediately after taking the pill, otherwise, you will feel nauseous. My periods are much lighter, and cramps are almost nonexistent. I definitely recommend this as a birth control."

For Birth Control "I've been taking Trinessa for about 2 and a half months. The first week upon taking it, I had severe abdominal pain and headaches. I was hungry all the time, but due to the warning that I would have increased cravings, I controlled it rather well. It seemed to get better throughout the month, my face was clearing up, I had energy again, but I still got minor to severe pains on a regular basis. My period came after three days of being on the inactive pills and lasted 4 days. My cramps improved drastically, and I was still hormonal, just less. I started back on the pills again, and the first day I experienced extreme nausea and vomited. The nausea has continued to follow me for the past weeks, now I am looking into the NuvaRing."

For Birth Control "On my first pack of TriNessa. I had slight nausea the first night of taking the pill and a headache the next day, but otherwise, no side effects. I haven't gained any weight or broken out at all. No crazy mood swings either! I was terrified to try this pill because of the awful reviews, but I have been totally normal."

For Birth Control "I just started taking TriNessa (I'm on my fourth pill). I'm 21 years old, and it's my first time ever taking a birth control pill. So far, I love it! The first couple of days, I experienced a tiny headache. Nothing horrible. I barely even noticed it. I really don't feel any different. So far, so good!"

For Birth Control "I got a prescription for TriNessa about 5 months ago, mostly just to help with my acne, and so far so good. My breakouts last a shorter amount of time and are smaller in size. My period has also gotten shorter and lighter, and I hardly get cramps at all. The only drawback is that in the first 2-3 months or so, I would get dizzy, slight headaches, and a little more fatigued than usual. Other than that, this pill works great. My acne hasn't completely gone away, but it does help."

For Birth Control "I've been on Trinessa for almost 6 months now, and I haven't seen many issues with it. When I first started, I was a bit moody, but now that side effect seems to have gone away. Also, I've had somewhat irregular periods while on the pill. I've had no headaches, weight gain, my skin has cleared up a lot since starting it. I'd definitely recommend it."

For Acne "I have been on Trinessa for six months and have decided to switch to Loestrin. I have the worst acne I've ever had, not just my face but my back and chest too. I get headaches all the time, and I've gained 20 pounds. It's like my appetite for food skyrocketed. My appetite for sexual activity, however, got depleted, which is frustrating."

For Acne "My dermatologist put me on this to regulate my acne, and I am currently on my third cycle using TriNessa. I had been on birth control for the same reason almost 2 years ago, but I had a 15 lb weight gain in under 4 months, which is crazy since I'm a runner. She told me these pills would not make me gain weight, yet I've gone up around 7 lbs and noticed that my boobs have grown a lot. The only other side effect I have noticed is dizziness and headaches. But as for its effectiveness: my period is very regular and light, and my face has completely cleared. I still get a few breakouts right before my period, but it's usually not bad at all."

For Birth Control "I have been on TriNessa for 10 months. So far, I have had breast tenderness, fatigue, weight gain, 104 lb to 127 lb (yes, huge difference), lower abdomen pain. Headaches, mood swings not so much, but I do cry a lot, and I mean a lot. The pill is doing its job, although I've had one scare. My period comes three days late and lasts about 3-6 hours, my period hasn't been longer than a day. And it's light, very light, like spotting. TriNessa is a good pill, it has done its job, but the side effects are like symptoms of pregnancy. I could do without the side effects."

For Birth Control "So the doctor recommended Trinessa because my periods have been inconsistent. So I have taken the first 10 pills for the pack, and the first 5 days felt great, never had any of the side effects. Then I slowly started to notice I would get hot and headaches out of nowhere. Then things got worse, I would start crying and getting extremely emotional for no reason. I would feel like I was in a dream with fever, no energy, headache, and cry for hours for no reason. My hormones are all out of control now from just taking the first 10 pills. I wouldn't recommend this pill, but then again, I'm sure it affects people differently, just like any other birth control pill. Just my first experience with the pill (Trinessa) has been terrible."

For Birth Control "I absolutely love TriNessa! I am a 25-year-old woman with no kids, with previous issues of no period, late period, long period, breakouts all the time, and constant bloating almost all the time. TriNessa has cleared my bloating, my acne, and my periods! I absolutely love it! But I do remember at first it was hell, I would have headaches, and I would feel like I needed to throw up."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I went to the doctor for a regular checkup, and I told my doctor I had heavy bleeding, and she prescribed me Tri-Nessa. I started to take the pill and instantly felt horrible, headaches, worse cramps than ever, and it's running my life. After my period ended, I am still taking Tri-Nessa, and it is horrible. I bleed every day, I have not had a break. I have to wear panty liners because I spot every day. I have been on the drug for 2 months. Slow, my period was only 5 days before I started taking the pill, and now I'm about 2 weeks long. I won't stop bleeding. The pill made me gain 2 pounds so far, and my butt and breasts have enlarged. But the medicine is not for me, I would rather just live with regular heavy periods."

For Birth Control "I started taking the pill for my irregular cycle, and it has worked, but I've noticed I started having headaches, bloating, and terrible mood swings. In addition, I've become somewhat lazy and gained a tad bit of weight. I'm about to be on my next set of pills starting tomorrow, so I hope it gets better."

For Birth Control "I've been on TriNessa for the past 5 months, and I've had nothing but horrible experiences. I started the first pill with my period, and I was okay up until week 1. It was prom, and I got extremely nauseous and threw up twice! I felt horrible (uncontrollable nausea, headaches, crazy mood changes, dry mouth) during the first month, but I decided to stick with it since the side effects were 'normal.' Months 2-4 were better; barely any nausea, only slight mood changes, regular light period. Now in month 5, I'm noticing how much I have changed (because it's summer) and how different I've become. I've become depressed; even thinking about crying makes me cry!"

For Acne "I started taking TriNessa about three months ago as a primary birth control while I am on isotretinoin (Accutane). Overall, I have had a positive experience with it; I haven't had any nausea, headaches, abnormal mood swings, or acne flares. The main negative thing I have to say is when my first period started while taking this, I had the WORST cramps ever and a pretty heavy flow. However, my second period rolled around, and I did not have any cramps at all, plus a normal flow! The only other side effects I have experienced are hair loss and some breast tenderness."

For Birth Control "I've been on TriNessa for about 5 or 6 months. I've gotten extreme headaches and mood swings. I've never had a panic or anxiety attack before, and every month I've been having terrible panic attacks. I also experience really bad bloating. I will be switching off of this pill!"

For Birth Control "I've been on the pill for 11 months. It did get rid of my cystic acne, but I always had little zits all month. I take the pill at night, and for the first week, it gives me bad nausea. I have headaches around my period. I have terrible mood swings. I have completely lost my sex drive. I like that my periods are 2 or 3 days, but I spot every day halfway through the pack. The pill's not terrible, but it's not good for me."

For Birth Control "I am now 37 years old with eight children. I had gastric bypass in 2012. I had originally started the depo shot after my last daughter, but my doctor was concerned with the possibility of weight gain, so he switched me to TriNessa in February 2018. I have had longer, harder periods since starting. I've had urinary tract infections every month since (thought I wasn't drinking enough water and giving myself the infection). I've had cramping, weight gain, bad headaches, breast tenderness, and recently figured out I had swelling in my legs due to this drug. I figured it out after my 2-year-old lost both my pill packets and my keys one day, and we hadn't found them for almost 3 weeks! (Found them in the box of powdered laundry soap on the dryer.) At this point, I figured I'd just wait a few days and get the new month worth of pills, so a day or so later, I was in the bathroom every little while to urinate, and I noticed that my legs were getting better! Which led me here to see what side effects others have experienced!"

For Birth Control "I had my daughter 2.5 years ago and put off getting back on birth control for a year and a half after she was born because I know the horrors that can come from it. I went to the doctor for my yearly visit, and she suggested I try TriNessa, and I've been pretty happy with it. The first few months, I had extreme nausea (almost to the point of throwing up - but never did), headaches, and slight weight gain (3-4 lbs). However, I am happy with it because my skin is basically flawless, whereas before I had occasional bad breakouts. I bloat a lot the week before my period, but that would happen to me before anyway."

For Acne "I was on the mini pill for about a year and really didn't mind it at all. However, I was weaning my baby and had some breaking out, so wanting to try the regular pill instead as recommended by my doctor. One month in and so far it is TERRIBLE. I get terrible cramps now, nausea all day, headaches, and my emotions are out of whack! I already have slight depression and anxiety, this pill made it SO much worse. My acne is the worst it's been since I first had my daughter, especially around my jawline. I am going to give it two more packs and then switch to something else."
