For Birth Control "Tri-Sprintec was the worst birth control I have ever used. I gained weight, felt tired all the time, became super nauseous all the time, and had horrible headaches. It causes stomach discomfort and gas. I noticed a huge change and felt better even after stopping in the middle of the pack. I took it for about six months before I decided I had had enough with the horrible side effects that came with it. I also noticed my heart racing at night. My headaches were so bad I couldn’t sleep at night."

For Birth Control "Switched from Yasmin to Tri-Sprintec (third type of pill I've tried), and I had an awful experience. I barely gave it a month before calling my doc to switch to a new pill - my body reacted terribly to it. Experienced persistent itching rash (mild allergic reaction), extreme vaginal dryness, fatigue, weight gain, and mild acne (where it used to be controlled on my other pills)."

For Acne "I'm 18 and have been using Tri-Sprintec for the past 4 months mainly to try to get rid of my mild acne. In the first couple of weeks, I was hopeful because I saw my face start to clear up and wasn't experiencing any side effects. However, as I kept taking it, my acne started to flare up again, along with cramps and bloating pretty much all the time, mood swings, and slight weight gain (5 pounds). Since month 2, I started getting cystic acne (which I've never had before) on both my cheeks and especially in my chin area and along my jawline, but my forehead stays almost completely clear. I thought my hormones just needed to get used to the pill, but my skin has continued to get worse. I stopped taking Tri-Sprintec and have already seen improvement in 3 days."

For Birth Control "I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen for about 4 months before switching to its generic version (Tri-Sprintec), so in total, I've been on the pill for 8 months. There are a couple of side effects I've had: weight gain, vaginal dryness. My sex drive is at an all-time low, and my hormones used to drive me crazy. I have problems with depression and anxiety, but I do believe it stabilized that and helped just a bit. It's cleared up my cystic acne somewhat. That's all I can think of for the side effects. I take the bad with the good, and the whole point of taking it was for acne and avoiding pregnancy, and it's doing a great job at the avoiding pregnancy thing! I would probably recommend."

For Birth Control "This pill worked great for clearing up my acne on my face and back. It took a few months, but once it worked, it really did help for that. It also worked really well at preventing pregnancy, which it should. However, this pill made me gain like 10 pounds... I didn't really notice when I was on it, but once I went off of it, I lost a substantial amount of weight... It also made me act crazy. I was constantly yelling at people and losing my temper. It didn't have my friend gain weight when she took it, so I guess side effects vary from person to person... I don't think I'd recommend it though."

For Birth Control "I went on this mostly to clear up my acne and regulate my period. Not worth it, it may have helped a little with the acne and regulating periods, but the side effects are terrible. I have always been a chill person, and it has made me crazy and gain weight."

For Birth Control "Currently 21 years old, I switched to Tri-Sprintec about 1 year ago due to cost reasons, and honestly I should have stayed on Loestrin 24 Fe. My experience with this pill was negative, aside from the fact that I have not gotten pregnant. I cry at inappropriate times, I'm moody, and I've gained weight. (On the Loestrin I was losing weight). This pill was not for me."

For Birth Control "I'm 16, and I've been taking this birth control for about 5 months, and at first, I loved it. I had shorter, lighter periods, and my breasts got bigger, but here lately, I've been having a lot of problems with it. I have been having really bad headaches. I'm really moody, get angry easy, I cry for no reason, my lower back has been hurting, bad cramps, gaining weight that I can't seem to lose, and my boyfriend and I fight all the time (which we never seemed to do before), and I think if I don't get off it soon, then I'd lose him."

For Birth Control "I went on this medicine for birth control. When I first started it, I only got pimples the week of my period, I had really bad cramps (to the point I threw up every month), and I was really fit. Fast forward 6 months - my face breaks out all the time and is never clear (no matter how much I wash it), the cramps got better, and I gained 10 lbs all in my mid-area. This medicine did make my boobs become fuller and my period was on time every month. This medicine also made me VERY moody, and I cried over the smallest things almost every day. The weight gain + countless emotional breakdowns/anxiety attacks were way too overwhelming for me, so I just switched to a different BC!"

For Endometriosis "I’ll start by saying that I was on depo injection for 8 years without any issue. I quit taking it because I wanted my periods to be regular again. My periods have always been extremely rough, but about a year ago, I started having cramps almost constantly. This went on for months before my doctor prescribed me Tri-Sprintec. It got rid of the pain, and my periods were light and short, which I loved, but everything else got out of control. The first month was fine, but after that, things started going downhill. I am not an emotional person, and I found myself crying for no reason and so depressed that I barely got out of bed. It was a huge strain on my partner and me. I also had weighed 125 pounds my entire life and have now gained 40 pounds in the past year that seemed impossible to get rid of, even while eating healthy and exercising. I quit taking this a few weeks ago and already feel a million times better. Hoping that I can lose all this weight and start feeling normal again."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I’ve been on Tri-Sprintec for almost 7 years now and love it! Everyone will experience different side effects, but I mainly was taking this to regulate my horrible periods. I haven’t experienced a single bad period in 7 years because of it! I did gain a few pounds, but overall my acne cleared up and my crazy PMS mood swings died down as well."

For Birth Control "Good birth control, but I gained about 10-15 lbs in two months from it, with regular exercise, etc. Very little acne, better than the Trinessa and Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo I was on. Extremely light periods."

For Birth Control "I started using Tri-Sprintec 3 months ago. Within the first week, I noticed that my face began to break out more than usual. I am now using medicated face wash to decrease the breakouts, so I can't tell if they would still be as bad after the first month. I have also gained a noticeable amount of weight since starting the pill. I eat relatively healthy, and I work out 4-6 times a week. However, I feel extremely bloated, as if I have a whole other layer of skin on. The weight gain and the inability to lose it has been unbearable, which is why I'm switching to a lower dosage pill. Overall, Tri-Sprintec wasn't all that bad - no breakthrough bleeding, no moodiness, no nausea, etc. The only complaint is that it did make me gain weight quickly."

For Birth Control "I've been on this pill for about 2 years, it raised my blood pressure, I gained about 20 pounds, and my acne got slightly worse. I don't know why it took me so long to get off of it, but I'm so happy I did."

For Birth Control "I started taking Tri-Sprintec as my first birth control. I needed something that was going to take away my nausea and vomiting when it came time for my period to start. It did just that. But now I'm nauseous all the time, I have terrible cramps all of the time. I have terrible, terrible mood swings. Not to mention the weight gain, and my boobs got bigger. Now the boobs getting bigger part isn't bad, it's painful when your breasts are just really tender all of the time. Not to mention sex became painful while taking this. I do not recommend this drug. I've been taking it for 3 months now, and I hate it. 3 months of pure suck. I'll definitely be getting a different pill at my next appointment."

For Birth Control "I started taking this since I was 17, 19 now. Works great, but definitely gained weight. I gained about 30 pounds while on it. My boobs went from a B to a C, and usually they get tender the week before I start my period. My period lasts about 4 days with light bleeding. Never had an issue with headaches or severe cramps. I took this pill every morning, but if you take it without breakfast, you tend to feel a little nauseous."

For Acne "I’ve taken this before and haven’t noticed any side effects, but starting again with Sprintec these last 4 months, I’ve gained weight, have had very unusual depression and anxiety, and my acne has gotten so bad, when it has never been that way. This definitely is not for everyone, the cystic acne makes me not want to show my face, it’s that bad, but I will say I’m not pregnant, so there’s that."

For Ovarian Cysts "This form of birth control helps with my making my period lighter and way less painful, but it has caused me to have both weight gain and crazy mood swings. I've only been on this pill for 5 months, but it's already causing me a headache. I feel depressed at times, upset, and even having problems when it comes to my sex drive. I'm not sure if that's this birth control or what, but I'm only 21. I shouldn't be having these problems."

For Birth Control "I've been on Tri-Sprintec for about 6 months now. It has helped with my PMDD. I used to cry, get anxiety, and have suicidal thoughts around my period, and those have completely gone away. I also never get cramps anymore. My period is lighter and always done by Sunday when I start my new pack. My only complaint is I have gained 20 pounds, but I also stopped breastfeeding at the same time I started, so I don't know which is the cause."

For Birth Control "Tri-Sprintec works great when used correctly, of course, and definitely helps to fight acne. However, I have been on this medicine for 4 months and have gained 9 pounds (from 127 lbs to 136 lbs). While I enjoy this weight gain (for now), it's hard to recommend this to anyone else since everyone's body is different. But it works for me."

For Birth Control "Started this a few months ago, and the first month, I had a 4-week-long period, which was not fun, however, I've had no weight gain whatsoever, increased sex drive, and less acne! I really like this birth control, and now my periods are completely regular after that terrible first month."

For Birth Control "I had been on Tri-Cyclen Lo with no issues until it was discontinued, and Planned Parenthood switched me to Tri-Sprintec. Initially, I only experienced some spotting and worsened hormonal acne. However, after about 2-3 months, I gained 20-25 pounds, and after 7 months, it began to affect my libido, leaving me with little to no sex drive. Additionally, I started experiencing severe PMDD and PMS symptoms. A week before my period, I would become moody and emotional, and a few days before my period, it would worsen. My mood swings were all over the place, despite being on a low-dose oral contraceptive before switching to Tri-Sprintec. I recently switched from Tri-Sprintec to Aubra EQ a few days ago, and we'll see how it goes with this new birth control."

For Birth Control "I have been using Tri-Sprintec for a few months. Before that, I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo. I used Ortho for a few years but had to change due to switching insurance companies. I was a little bit hesitant to use Tri-Sprintec at first due to the previous reviews that I read about. My experience has been very good. I haven't had any breakouts, weight gain, or emotional problems. I have had an increase in breast size and tenderness, but the tenderness wasn't too uncomfortable. Usually, when I switch birth control, I have a cycle for at least a month and a half, but not this time around. I had no breakthrough bleeding. I have had light and regular cycles, which is the purpose of me being on birth control. I would definitely recommend Tri-Sprintec."

For Birth Control "I have been on Tri-Sprintec for a little over two years now. I never noticed any weight gain due to this pill. When I first went on it, I had just lost a bunch of weight (originally looked like a chubby little girl), and after 6 months of being on this pill, I stopped my normal exercising and didn't pay much attention to my food intake. Needless to say, due to my fault, I gained about 20 lbs back - but in a womanly way. I am not sure if this was due to the time in my life - early 20's or if the hormones affected me, or both. I have slightly higher than normal testosterone levels for a woman, again, it could be my imagination, but it does seem that this helps my hirsutism as well. Being very sexually active, no pregnancy has occurred."

For Endometriosis "Used Tri-Sprintec to manage severe endometriosis pain. Within 2 months of using the pill, I gained 15 lbs. My mood swings were terrible, crying all the time for no reason, up to 4 times a day. Within 3 months, I started getting terrible stomach aches and cramps, and alternated between constipation and diarrhea that would last for hours. I thought it was related to my endo, but when I started getting them 3-5 times a week, my doc said it was IBS, but there wasn't any correlation between what I was eating and my digestive issues. After reading some reviews, I decided to stop birth control altogether. It's been just over a month and I have not had a single stomach ache, diarrhea, or constipation. The mood swings have stabilized and I have not cried once. This is the best I've felt in 10 months! The only good thing I can say about this pill is it did control my endo pain. I had little to no cramping during the month, and during my cycle, it was only the first few days, and it was manageable."
