For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "So my gyno put me on this birth control pill for my irregular periods. I’m about to start month 3, and I’m impressed! At first, I was VERY scared to try the pill because of the negative reviews, but I gave it a shot and monitored my lifestyle closely. My first 3 weeks on the pill weren’t terrible, but I did experience a couple of negative but minor side effects. I had a couple of nights where I felt nauseous after taking the pill, and on a few occasions a headache, but nothing I couldn’t handle. I noticed I had some weight gain in my waistline, so I watched my food intake and upped my workouts slightly, and that took care of it. I’ve stayed at 133 lbs. I’m at month 3, and everything is totally normal! No depression, no insomnia, and no weight gain (thank goodness), and it’s cleared up my face! I personally love this pill, but I 100% agree that every woman may have different reactions. Also, it’s SO affordable, and that’s a big plus because I don’t have insurance."

For Birth Control "I took this pill for about 3 years! Stopped taking it due to migraines that developed a couple of years in, my doctor thinks it was the dramatic hormone fluctuation throughout the packs due to it being a triphasic pill. She’s switching me to just “Sprintec” now (tried giving me Lo Loestrin FE before this for low hormones but spotted for months straight, irritable, frequent breakouts that weren't normal for me... couldn’t deal with it anymore). As for effectiveness, Tri-Sprintec worked great! I never got pregnant, regular periods during placebo week. Had clear skin the whole time... I never had acne issues before the pill. It did, however, make me gain about 10 lbs or so throughout the years, but that could be due to lifestyle as well. Lol."

For Acne "I'm almost finished with my 3rd pack. I have nice skin again, and my periods are regular. No weight gain (I sort of wanted some), and my breasts have gotten somewhat fuller, but that's no complaint. I have had no side effects on this pill that affect my life, the 3rd week my breasts get a little tender, but I'm not in horrible pain. I think I'll be staying with it."

For Birth Control "I've been on Tri-Sprintec for about 8 months, and it is really effective. So far, I've had shorter periods (4 days), and I don't notice a lot of acne or emotional issues. However, I have had a weight gain of about twenty pounds on this medicine, despite the fact that I was actually exercising more than I did previously. I've always had problems gaining weight and had been about 105 lbs for quite a few years, so a few pounds wouldn't have hurt, but this weight gain was pretty troubling due to how rapid it was. I wanted to wait and see if things slowed down, but I think I am still gaining, so I may talk to my doctor about switching to a different pill."

For Birth Control "Love this one! The previous BC I was on gave me a terrible experience. Extremely moody, made me gain weight and just did more bad than good overall. Started this one and I LOVE IT! My skin hasn't looked this great in I don't know how long. Haven't noticed any sorts of mood effects and no weight gain. My insurance also completely covers it!"

For Birth Control "I have been on this birth control for 3 months, and for me, I only get pimples during the period week. I have gained weight, but only 8 lbs throughout the whole 3 months, and I have a very high sex drive during the second week. The week before my period, I am doing good, but the last 2 days, I get mood swings and cravings for food. Personally, I don't get headaches, cramps, or pain. For Acne "I was on Trinessa for 10 years, the most recent time I went to pick up my prescription they switched me to this (with no warning). I have had the worst experience. I’m on week 3 and my face is inflamed with huge under-the-surface bumps on my cheeks. Haven’t had acne like this since I was in 7th grade & was prescribed Accutane. I am about to throw the pack in the trash and demand my old medication back... can’t take this. Also, headaches (constant) & weight gain (put on at least 8 lbs in the first two weeks)... but these issues are nothing compared to the breakout I’m experiencing."

For Birth Control "I started using Tri-Sprintec about 5 months ago. Let me tell you that it does its job, I have had unprotected sex multiple times, and so far, so good. I have noticed a couple of side effects, which are weight gain, nausea, and mood swings. My weight gain doesn't really bother me. I'm already a tad chubby, but what I like is that it is going to my hips! The biggest downfall is the nausea. Gosh, it really gets to me. It is always in the first week of the pill, I don't know what it is, but out of the 5 months, I've thrown up at least twice that I remember. After the first week, the nausea goes away and is not as strong. Finally, the mood swings. I am already emotional as it is, so this pill gets to me! At first, I would find myself getting upset more than usual and getting overworked more than usual. But now, my body is getting used to it, and it is not as bad. Every girl is different, so the side effects are not all going to be the same, but I hope my review helps somebody!!!"

For Ovarian Cysts "Been taking Tri-Sprintec for 3 weeks now. Week one was a breeze. For the other 2 weeks, here’s what I’ve experienced thus far: headaches, a little bit of nausea, sore boobs, and a bigger appetite, and I gained 5 pounds (I’m skinny, so I don’t mind it). I haven’t had any bad breakouts, no mood swings, nothing crazy. I don’t really enjoy the headaches and nausea, but I haven’t experienced anything CRAZY."

For Birth Control "I am going on month 3 of using this birth control, and yes, it works. But it is so not worth it because of the side effects. I already have anxiety, so this birth control has not only made it 10 times worse but has made me extremely depressed and given me insane mood swings that I can only describe as bouts of rage. I have never felt this emotionally unstable in my life. I have also gained around 5-10 pounds. However, this is the cheapest I can get birth control without insurance, so if the side effects don’t end up wearing off, then I will definitely go off of it."

For Birth Control "Low estrogen is a very common thing in my family. I told my doctor about this, and she prescribed Tri-Sprintec because it has triple the amount of estrogen found in women. If you don't have low estrogen and you are using Tri-Sprintec, of course, you are going to experience unpleasant side effects such as acne, mood swings, weight gain, etc. I've been taking it for over a year, and my family says I'm a much more pleasant person to be around now that I have something ridding me of my terrible mood swings. I can effectively lose weight while taking it and have little to no acne. I went two months without it and gained weight, also breaking out in acne."

For Acne "I was on Mononessa for about 5 years, mainly started for acne and also to reduce cramping. Great drug, very sad it was discontinued. Tried Estarylla first because it was 'the same equivalent,' which was not a great experience (BIG mood changes, so tired all the time), so asked to switch to another and got Sprintec. In the first month, I didn't really notice any bad effects, but I'm currently in the second month, and boy, CYSTIC ACNE all over my cheeks. I thought I was having an allergic reaction to something, but my routine didn't change, only this drug. I'm so glad I found this site and people's experiences to back up my hunch! So I've been having awful breakouts, gained some weight, and the amount of headaches has increased (I almost feel 'foggy' overall, not sure if anyone else has experienced that too). My periods before birth control were easier than this, quitting when this cycle ends. TL,DR: Cystic acne on cheeks, acne galore, increased headaches, weight gain."

For Birth Control "I've been on this for about 7 months, and this is my first time taking birth control, but it has lightened my periods. But I've gained some weight. My boyfriend has noticed I get moody really easily, and I get very emotional out of nowhere. It made me break out a little more, but it went away and is clearing a lot more now. One thing I've noticed is since taking this pill, I've had some memory loss. I do like this brand because it's lightened my period, and I haven't gotten pregnant, and I'm 18. For Birth Control "I have been taking this birth control for a year, and I loved it! It has done an amazing job with preventing pregnancy and working with other medicines I take for migraines. The only problem I have had with this pill was that I have gained 25 pounds since I started it last November, and I had really bad cramping the week before I started my period. I play soccer and work out a lot, and I eat healthy, and the weight gain has got me really down, so I'm probably going to talk to my doctor about changing pills."

For Birth Control "This is the worst birth control I have ever taken. My pharmacy switched me to this, and I’ve only been on it a little over a week, and I have horrible symptoms! For Birth Control "This is my 6th month on Tri-Sprintec. Overall, it's been a positive experience. The first 2 months, my breasts hurt - they grew another cup size - but after that, there's been no extra tenderness at all. I didn't gain any weight, didn't have any abnormal cravings. Didn't go crazy, no change in libido (still high). My periods were heavier the first 2 months, but then evened out; now they're light and only last 3 to 4 days. I had moderately bad acne around my jawline and cheeks, and it disappeared completely in about a month and a half. It's been effective against pregnancy. Not sure if my regimen made a difference: I started taking the pills the 2nd day of my cycle and I take the pill at noon. Downsides: stiffness in limbs."

For Birth Control "I’ve used Tri-Sprintec twice now-once about two years ago, and once again starting two months ago. The first time it was GREAT! Regular periods that were light and only lasted 3-4 days, no weight gain, no acne, nothing. I stopped taking it after breaking up with my boyfriend and was completely off birth control for about a year since I wasn’t having sex regularly. This June, I started seeing someone else and re-started Tri-Sprintec since it was something I had a great experience with the first time. NOT THE CASE. I’ve gained weight, have horrible vaginal dryness (not ideal in a new relationship), and my period is coming the second week of pills, and the last week, hardly stopping in between. Overall, I’ve been bleeding 2 weeks out of the month. I’m getting the Nexplanon implant later this month, and hopefully that works out."

For Birth Control "The only reason I found this website is because I noticed all the side effects I was having from this birth control and wanted to know how others felt. I had been thinking something was wrong or I was just depressed or something, but now it all makes sense. For Birth Control "This is the only BC I've ever taken, so I can't really compare it to others, but it's been good for me. Haven't gained any weight, and it makes my period regular. When I first started taking it, I didn't start the pack when I was supposed to because I only get my period a few times a year. I bled for like 3 weeks, but after that, I was normal. It hasn't caused me to gain weight, but I do think I am a bit more emotional than before. My skin is much clearer since taking it."

For Birth Control "I was on this birth control from September to April (last full month taking it). At first, I didn't have any problems, but by the third month, I was crazy emotional and would cry for no reason, my boobs grew from a B to a big C, almost a D, and I gained about 7 on it and felt constantly bloated. My periods weren't significantly better. The only positive thing was that I was baby free, and I had an increased sex drive."

For Birth Control "I love this pill so much I plan on taking it until I'm 50! Regulated my periods right to the hour of arrival. No cramps, shortened them from 7 days to 4 days. Skin became dewy, soft, and clear. It did cause some weight gain but not much more than 5-7 lbs. Been taking this for 5 years and no side effects. I do recommend this."
