For Birth Control "I was on Ortho-Tri-Cyclen previously without issue, but it's been discontinued. Tri-Sprintec is the closest equivalent generic. Let me tell you... it's positively changed my life. I no longer deal with monthly hormonal imbalance/fluctuations (i.e. mood swings), extremely painful periods, or reoccurring ovarian cysts. I didn't break out in acne; my skin has been super clear throughout -- not even a transition period where I broke out. My hair has gotten thicker, my boobs have grown at least a cup size, and I've got a nice curvy booty again (all of these changes are very welcomed). I've loved the additional 5 lb weight gain. It's also decreased chronic joint pain I had/have due to other health conditions. Additionally, Tri-Sprintec has improved my mood and sense of well-being, while lowering anxiety. I feel like myself again for the first time in years -- no antidepressant or anxiety med has done what this birth control has for me. Best. birth. control. ever."

For Birth Control "I have had absolutely no problems with Tri-Sprintec. I don't have any side effects at all. No weight gain, no mood swings, no depression, no anxiety, no nausea, same sex drive. (No increase in breast size either - I WISH I had that side effect!) I feel exactly the same taking this as I did not taking any birth control. The only difference is my periods are lighter and shorter, and my cramps are no longer severe. By the way, I was really scared to take this because of the negative reviews I read! But before you decide this is a bad pill, give it a try. Every woman's body is different, and your experience will just depend on your body!"

For Birth Control "I am only ten days into my first pack of Tri-Sprintec, and I can already see changes. I'm not one to have acne, I just get the occasional pimples or tiny zits, but they're all gone now. Even more interesting, though, is that my breasts went up a cup size, and my voice is now lighter too. It's too soon to know its birth control effectiveness or its effects on weight gain yet for me. But I have noticed it slimmed down my daytime appetite, but at night, literally, I cannot seem to get full. Weird. Anyway, it's good for a broke college student like me."

For Birth Control "I took Tri-Sprintec for almost 3 years. Finally, last year, as a freshman in college, I quit taking it-realizing then only how much I hated it. Tri-Sprintec did reduce my cramps and bloating, but it made me very moody and irritable. I felt angry a lot and did not realize this until I quit taking the pill. I also gained about 8 pounds within the first month, and my appetite was way up, I was hungry all the time. To make matters worse, my hair started falling out, I was shedding a ton, my hair got a lot thinner. My breasts, which are already inconveniently large, got even bigger. I feel awful that I put up with this medicine for almost three years-I was naive and thought that these were unavoidable side effects. I would never recommend this pill."

For Birth Control "I have been on this pill for about a month and a half. I gained 20 pounds in about a month without changing my diet. I have been a complete antisocial freak who doesn't want to do anything besides sleep and be alone. My period was terrible, and I went from having sex with my boyfriend 2-3 times a day to 2 times a week. I have been to a therapist because of how emotional I've been, and I have wanted to drop out of college. The only 'semi' good thing about this birth control is no babies and huge breasts. I went from a C to a DD, which my boyfriend loves, but me not so much. I am getting off of it."

For Birth Control "I am currently 19, in good health, not taking other medicines, have been tested negative for STDs, and sexually active with one partner only. I am taking birth control mainly as a contraceptive and partly to regulate my irregular periods. I have just completed my first week on Tri-Sprintec and have not experienced any significant changes. I have not had any mood swings in the past week, nor experienced drops/spikes in libido. No significant weight gain in this past week, however, I do feel my sports bras tightening up. (Hopefully, my breasts are growing?) No breast tenderness. No change in appetite. Complexion looks better if not the same. I will continue to share my experience with this pill. Currently, very happy with it."

For Birth Control "With every online review, you have to take it with a grain of salt. Everyone's bodies are different. I was prescribed Tri-Sprintec when I was 15 and have been using it for the last 5 years. I rarely had any skin problems, besides the monthly pop-ups everyone gets. Stress, food, genetics, and physical health are contributors to breaking out too. I didn't gain any weight, I didn't get sick (unless I took it on an empty stomach), and for being sexually active for a few years, with this pill, I haven't gotten pregnant. There are several reviews out there that are horrible, but my experience has been a good one. I am sorry for those who experience otherwise, but don't let all the negativity deter you from choosing something that could be good for you."

For Acne "I'm 22 years old and have been dealing with acne since about 13 years old. I've been on Tri-Sprintec for almost two years now, and what a difference. For Birth Control "I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo for nearly 10 years and hated the thought of switching pills (insurance purposes). I started Tri-Sprintec about 5 months ago, and I cannot tell the difference between the two. I was concerned with the nausea, vomiting, and weight gain that others talked about but had none. My face is still clear as ever, my periods are still very light, and I feel fine! Definitely worth the change!"

For Birth Control "This is my second form of birth control, and I absolutely love it! My insurance pays for it, so it does not cost me one penny. When I did pay for it, it was less than ten dollars. I started on the Depo shot, and I hated it. I gained 40 pounds on it, and it affected me tremendously. Tri-Sprintec hasn't let me down. I have used it for a little over two years now. My boyfriend and I have been together for a year, and we have been baby-free. It continues to work for me. I haven't gained any weight. I don't get mood swings. The only difference I have noticed is a little bit more cramping, but nothing major. Cramps have been bearable. If you are looking for a steady birth control, then this could be for you."

For Acne "I was very skeptical about trying this pill because it is a generic, and I have heard negative things about it. I have been on it for two months, and so far, no weight gain, no nausea, no mood swings, or any other of the reported side effects. The best part about this pill is that it completely cleared up my cystic acne after only a few weeks. I have been on a couple of other pills with horrible side effects. Find the pill that works best with your body. This one seems to work best with mine."

For Birth Control "I have been on Tri-Sprintec for 7 years and have overall had no problems with it. I started taking it to clear up my severe acne. I had been to dermatologist after dermatologist and had been on every cream and pill to treat my acne, and nothing worked until I got on Tri-Sprintec. I did not gain any weight, my skin cleared up, my periods were regulated, and I did not experience any spotting or anything like that. I am changing birth control pills after this pack due to longer periods. My period had always been about 6-7 days, but the past few months it has been 10-12 days. I'm not sure if the lengthened period is due to the Tri-Sprintec, but I never had any problems with it until recently. I would recommend Tri-Sprintec to anyone."

For Birth Control "I’ve been on Tri-Sprintec for about 5 months now, for bad cramping. I’d like to say that I am a lesbian, so this is not a contraceptive for me, it was just to alleviate my period pain and heavy bleeding. The first three months were the worst. I gained a little weight, was the most moody I’ve ever been, and was sad often. However, once you get past all of that in those 3 months, it's a lifesaver. My period pain has decreased so much that honestly I’ll forget I’m on my period, it’s made them lighter and shorter. My skin is clearer, the weight I lost from the first 3 months is gone, and I’m not moody anymore. However, it does kill my sex drive almost completely, so if you are worried about that, take it into consideration before trying this birth control."

For Birth Control "I have been on this medication for over 9 years, and it works great for me. My periods are way lighter, and the pain is much more manageable. It causes no mood swings or weight gain for me. Overall, it works great and is very affordable; my insurance covers all of it, but even without insurance, it's only $9/month."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I was 17 when I started on this pill because I had cysts on my ovaries. This pill is a good pill and not a bad one like a lot of the women are saying. This pill has the same side effects as all the other pills do. Yes, I gained weight at first, but now I am back to my normal size because my body regulated it. The leaflets say you may not feel well the first 1-3 packs. It's because your body has to regulate it!"

For Birth Control "This drug is a life ruiner. I was on Trinessa for a while and doing fine before I randomly got switched to this for no reason. Since starting this drug, I have become nauseous, lightheaded, depressed, constipated, and extremely fatigued. I can only wear loose, flowy clothing or I will get heat flashes and pass out (I'm only 21). I have headaches regularly. Anxiety tics that I worked hard to get rid of years ago are back. I have painful cystic acne that I never had before, and I've gained weight. Taking this drug almost made me fail a semester of school, and it cost me multiple friendships because I was too fatigued and depressed to leave my room and socialize. My self-confidence is at an all-time low. It is not worth it. This drug is cruel."

For Birth Control "Let me just start with the fact that if I am going to buy or use anything under the sun, it is more than likely that I have read every review ever written on the item before buying/using it, etc. Before going on the pill, I read reviews for at least 100 different brands/versions of the combo pill and mini-pill before narrowing it down to three options (all combo pills). I talked each option over with my OBGYN, and we settled on Tri-Sprintec for a few reasons. A. Triphasic (mirrors natural hormone levels better) B. Estrogen/androgen/progestin ingredients/levels help with acne, and C. The first two weeks of pills are low dose. Pros: no mood swings, no weight gain except in boobs. Cons: medium cramps, slight breakthrough bleeding. Overall: love it!"

For Birth Control "I had a baby girl 6 months ago, and I started this about 2 months ago. At first, I was doing great with it, but then, after about 2 weeks of taking it, I have really noticed some not-so-great changes in me. My chin is constantly breaking out, so it did not help clear up the acne. I have really had some bad mood swings of just feeling really sad, and my anxiety has been pretty bad. It has really messed with my sleeping patterns. I also gained about 16 lbs from the time I started taking this pill until now. I wear contacts, and it really seems to dry my eyes out and make my vision a little blurry, which I haven't really had much trouble with before. I am seeing my doctor soon, and we are planning on switching me to another birth control pill."

For Acne "I've been taking Tri-Sprintec for two months now. I have had persistent mild acne (plus scarring :/) since middle school. (I'm in my twenties now). I must say -- this pill has improved my skin. It's not perfect, but I've noticed that my normally breakout-prone skin has cleared up a bit, so that's nice to see. And now the negative: my appetite has increased immensely. I feel like I'm starving all the time. It's like constant PMS. I'm hoping this will go away as my body acclimates to the pill... For Birth Control "I was prescribed Tri-Sprintec when I was 15 years old to regulate my period. I turn 20 in two weeks and have been taking this birth control consistently. I have had minimal issues (occasional breast tenderness-no big deal). All birth controls have their side effects, but to say that this would alter my decision to take this birth control is bizarre. I have sex with my partner about every other day, and we NEVER use condoms. However, he only 'finishes' in me once or twice every few months. Even then, I have (luckily) had no problems. I have had no weight gain or mood swings or any other side effects. It has also kept my face perfectly clear since it doubles as an acne fighter. Very impressed and would HIGHLY recommend to younger people."

For Acne "Oh my goodness. I am in tears reading these reviews, finally finding out what’s wrong with me. I stopped breastfeeding about 3 months ago, and my skin started to break out from the hormone change, as expected. I called my OB to get back on what I assumed would be my regular BC, Trinessa, but I got this Tri-Sprintec. My face has never been this bad in my entire life. Painful, cystic acne. For Birth Control "I had been on Tri-Sprintec for about a year and a half to prevent pregnancy. A few months after starting to take it, I began to gain weight and became severely depressed. I would cry at every little thing, and my period cramps were worse than they were before. I couldn't sleep and had no sex drive. It didn't even occur to me that these changes were due to my birth control until I finally went to the doctor, who told me that sounds like symptoms of Tri-Sprintec. For Birth Control "As far as birth control, it is an extremely effective contraceptive pill! Never got any severe side effects; some nausea the first week, but that's about it. Also, my periods are about the same flow-wise, but very little cramping, about 4 days long instead of 5. I used to have awful skin, and now it is clear! The only thing that happened when I went on this medication that may be displeasing to others is that I gained about 30 pounds. My varying weight before was 106-110, and now I am between 130-136 lbs."
