For Birth Control "Things this medicine has done to me or made worse: sudden severe headaches, anxiety, nausea. I have symptoms of depression-sleep problems, weakness, tired feeling, mood changes. Feeling of warmth in one or both legs."

For Birth Control "If I could give this birth control a negative 20, I would. I normally am prescribed Mononessa, but my pharmacy doesn’t sell it, and I normally get it by mail order for 2 months at a time. I decided to give this medication a try for three months, and Estarylla caused me to have severe anxiety and depression. I slowly stopped going to class as often, and I cried myself to sleep, felt like I wasn’t wanted, the whole 9 yards. It was awful. I returned to my normal prescription via mail order (Mononessa), and my symptoms have completely gone away. DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICATION. You won’t be able to recognize yourself. They need to take this off the shelves."

For Birth Control "First review I've ever posted about anything, but I felt like it was important to inform others. This pill was so horrible I could only take it for one day. I immediately was extremely nauseous for 6 hours, got terrible shakes and anxiety. Didn't speak to my boyfriend the whole day and almost backed out at a dinner with my best friends because my anxiety and depression were so bad. All within 12 hours of taking it. Which is not typical behavior for me. Not to mention my eyes and my mouth were so dry I could barely see driving with contacts. I know most reviews are negative, but I felt as though people were more inclined to write bad reviews, so I took it anyway, terrible mistake, definitely don't recommend although I know everyone is different."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed Sprintec 5 years ago because I suffer from such horrible cramps and bleeding during my period. Sprintec helped me drop weight more quickly, cleared the constant cystic acne I had suffered from for 10 years, and cured my cramping and heavy bleeding. After 2 years, my pharmacy started giving me Estarylla. I gained weight and fell into a depression. My skin also became cystic again. These issues cleared when they gave me Sprintec. On and off the last 5 years, my pharmacy (insurance company) has been switching me between 3 brands of this drug. When I'm on Estarylla, I'm a mess. I gain weight, my skin has cystic acne, I have depression and anxiety to the point of medication, I have depressed thoughts, I have 0 sex drive, I stop caring about life, and it takes effort to wake up and leave my house in the morning. I talked to my doctor, he wrote me a new prescription with the instructions I'm only to have Sprintec and no other brand, so that I don't have to suffer through Estarylla."

For Birth Control "This is the first time I'm taking birth control, my doctor prescribed me Estarylla. It did help in making my periods more regular and lighter, but the cramps are just as bad. Not only that, but I've been extremely depressed, anxious, and paranoid, and that's started to ruin my relationship with my s/o. I couldn't even finish the rest of the pills in the pack because I was feeling so awful. Definitely would not recommend this pill."

For Birth Control "This is the worst birth control I have ever been on. I have had every single bad side effect. I have gotten a lasting headache every single day, I am so anxious 24/7, and moody and angry and sad. I have never struggled with acne, but ever since I started this pill, I started breaking out, and they have not gone away since. I have gained 12 pounds in the last month, and that weight will not go away no matter what I try. On top of that, I had my period for the first 3 weeks of taking Estarylla. Horrible, horrible, horrible. I'm switching off of this ASAP."

For Birth Control "Worst birth control ever. I’m never one to write reviews, but this birth control is ruining my life! I was switched over to this generic version, and I’ve been on it for 2 months... worst 2 months. I’m so moody, depressed, anxiety-ridden, no confidence, so tired, and no sex drive. Do yourself a favor and never take this."

For Birth Control "Initially, I thought this pill was great, as I actually saw a reduction in my appetite (binge eating), and my skin seemed more clear. Within just about a month, everything changed. My nose and forehead began breaking out with blemishes, and I began experiencing irritability, anxiety, and severe depression. I am tearful, crying multiple times per week, severe loss of energy, unstable mood, loss of pleasure in doing things, very little motivation, experiencing sleep difficulties (trouble falling asleep, restlessness, and early awakening), reduced sex drive, easily annoyed, suicidal thoughts. Before starting Estarylla, I had never experienced depression before or had a depressive episode. It has been nearly 3 months, and my symptoms appear to be increasing in severity instead of even looking like they'll improve. It has been destroying my relationship and destroying me. I was a happy person who wasn't anxious, wanting to hide away and isolate, and full of guilt before taking this medication."

For Birth Control "Actually, the worst pill ever. I’m stopping this pill tomorrow. I already have really bad anxiety, and this just made it so much worse. I’ve been so mean to my boyfriend and have had HORRIBLE mood swings. I have been so anxious to the point where I just cry, and I even shake sometimes, which never has happened. My appetite has gone down, and I just don’t want to eat. My skin has dried out, and I just feel so down literally every second of the day. I love working out, and this pill has made me so unmotivated to the point where I just question everything. Please just don’t take this and talk to your doctor about other options. This isn’t worth it, and destroying your mental health is most definitely not worth it for this pill."

For Birth Control "After being almost 2 weeks on it, I had to stop taking it, it made my depression worse as well as my anxiety. It made me super sensitive (which I'm normally not). I do get anxiety attacks, but never like this, it was almost every day, not to mention I broke out in horrible acne, which I've never had."

For Birth Control "I used Estarylla for 3 months, but had to switch due to having a family history of blood clots. I personally really liked taking this pill. It cleared up my acne, and my periods were the most consistent they've ever been. I didn't notice any changes in my moods, however, I did notice my anxiety did increase slightly."

For Birth Control "I was scared to start taking birth control, but have been taking Estarylla consistently for about 8 months and have had little to no side effects! My acne has cleared up, I’ve lost 20 lbs without even really trying, and I have a high sex drive and regular sex just about every day. The only thing I can think that could be considered a negative side effect is that since I’ve taken this pill, my anxiety has gone up. I don’t know if it can be attributed to the pill or changes in my life, but it has slowly gotten better. Although everyone’s body is different (and only you know your body), this birth control has been great for me!"

For Birth Control "After I started taking this medicine, I started having crazy anxiety after my baby was born! I am the type to not take birth control before pregnancy, so when the OB/GYN gave me this, he told me to take it because you're really fertile. So then I got put on antidepressants, but at the same time, my anxiety had not gone away, and also my blood pressure was getting higher! I decided to stop taking this medication after reading these reviews, and wow, I can't believe so many people have this experience! My first day off it, and I'm starting to feel like myself, and my blood pressure is getting to a normal level! This medication is dangerous!"

For Birth Control "I was on Tri-Previfem for years with no problems: I had flawless skin, light periods, no weight gain. My pharmacy randomly switched me to Estarylla, and it’s been THE WORST. I now have the most painful cystic acne, and every pore on my face is visible! I’ve had random bleeding, embarrassingly strong and weird odor, bad nausea/vomiting, and abnormal food cravings too. I’ve thought I was pregnant so many times on this because of these side effects. I am extremely anxious all the time and paranoid on top of it all. For those still considering it: IT IS NOT WORTH THE RISK!! I have more left of this pack, but I’m throwing it out, I can’t take it anymore! I’d rather prevent pregnancy by being abstinent than to keep suffering on Estarylla."

For Acne "I started Estarylla in November and am asking to be switched today. My hair has turned brittle and sheds so easily, my hair never was like that before. My skin was awful, dry, and always had some small outbreak on my face no matter how hard I took care of it. I felt like I was in a fog, and my emotions were a little bit dull, and all I had was anger and anxiety. And now, being off of it for four days, I not only feel better but my skin is a lot better as well."

For Birth Control "This is my first experience with birth control, and I am 18 years old. The 1st week was fine, but the beginning of the 2nd week was horrible. I cried like I have never cried before. It is a horrible pill for me, and I would not recommend it. I ignored all the reviews before taking the first pill, and I was wrong to do that. This messes with all of your emotions and causes depression and anxiety."

For Birth Control "This has been awful. I had to switch from Mononessa to Estarylla. Before this, Mononessa was perfect, and before that, I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety. These past 4 months have been terrible. I cry every day, and it’s affecting my relationships with the people I love. I am spotting every day, even when I’m not on my period. I have no enjoyment in the things I used to enjoy, and I have 0 energy. This is absolutely horrible, and I’m definitely switching this week because I cannot take this anymore."

For Birth Control "My PP thought I needed a higher dose of estrogen in my pill, so I was switched to this pill. I’ve been totally not myself recently. I have given this pill the suggested amount of time and I feel as though it’s getting worse. I’m EXTRA moody, unhappy, extremely irritable, zero patience, nauseous a lot of the time on top of already having acid reflux, anxious. About 10 days before my period, these symptoms flare tremendously. It affects my career and my relationships. It’s almost scary. I’m looking to get off of this pill ASAP. So not worth it!"

For Birth Control "I have been on this medication for 3 days, and I have never felt this low in my life. I have felt depressed, anxious, and hopeless all in three days. I want to switch immediately. I was on Sprintec, and it was perfect for me. My doctor made me switch to this, and I am going to go back and switch back off of it."

For Birth Control "I do not recommend this birth control to anyone. Immediately after starting this medication, I felt a complete shift in my emotions, and I was constantly finding myself lashing out at my boyfriend and getting mad at every little thing, which is nothing like myself. I had little to no acne before starting this pill, and it caused me to start breaking out with cystic acne all around my mouth and chin. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because I didn't get pregnant the 7 months I've been on it. Other than that, this pill is awful. My doc said to wait 6 months for the pill to completely balance out, but I can't stand it anymore, cause it's only getting worse. My depression and anxiety are at an all-time high, and my relationship is now suffering."

For Birth Control "I've been taking this medication for nearly two weeks. I've become an emotional mess when I'm usually laid-back and down to earth. I remember taking Sprintec around five months ago, and I don't remember feeling this way. The nurse said it was the same as Sprintec, just a generic brand. I've become increasingly paranoid, anxious, irate, and I've been having really dark thoughts. I don't even feel like talking to my significant other anymore. The only good thing is that it prevents pregnancy. Everyone's experience is different, but mine has been far from good."

For Birth Control "Started this medicine 11 days ago, and like most others, it was due to Walgreens no longer carrying my previous birth control. All last week I have felt dizzy, nauseous, anxious, and felt like I had a racing heart. I feel so out of it, I ended up going to the ER ($250 copay :( ). My blood pressure was 180/105!!!!! I have been on blood pressure medication for 2 days, and it has come down, but my bottom number is still ranging from 90-101. I honestly did not think anything of it because Walgreens stated it was the exact same, but when my friend specifically asked about birth control tonight, I put the two together. I will be calling the doctor tomorrow to try to get this switched. I just wanted to review so people knew to check their blood pressure considering this may be what caused mine to get to a very high level for me. Again, not 100% sure this is the cause, but it is the only thing in my life this past week that has changed."
