For Birth Control "I do not recommend this birth control. I was previously on Microgestin for years with no issues. Since switching to Blisovi due to a change of insurance, I have experienced irregular periods, constant spotting, cramping, bloating, and increased anxiety. I currently have no sex drive with this constant spotting and cramping. I no longer have insurance, otherwise, I would have immediately requested to be changed to another birth control. I have taken this BC regularly for two months, hoping this was just an adjustment, but I can no longer deal with these symptoms."

For Birth Control "I just wanted to share my experience with this BC. I had never taken any kind of BC before and wanted to try birth control badly to lighten my periods (they are really heavy and irregular - always late, different durations, etc.) because of my constant feelings of stress/anxiety. I also wanted something to help with the hormonal acne and breakouts I get around this time. (Yay..) So the gynecologist prescribed this to me and got me all excited, saying it will shorten my period and in 6 months of taking it, it will make my period go away, and she also said my skin would clear up too. Well, I took it for 3.5 weeks hoping for things to get better but instead, I had TWO weeks of everyday extreme cramps (horrible and hurt really bad) and spotting."

For Birth Control "This birth control is terrible!!! It was a little weird when I first got on it considering I bled so much, and when it came around to my brown pills, I wouldn’t. But after about three months, I stopped bleeding completely. Spotting maybe once a month and very, very light, not enough to even use a tampon. Crazy mood swings, messed with my appetite, and my body just didn’t feel right. Taking this birth control has helped me with the one thing it’s supposed to, and that’s not getting pregnant. Everything else it has done has been crazy... don’t recommend it."

For Birth Control "I was on birth control for years before having children. After #3, we decided we were done and began taking pills again, the one I was on before kids wasn't such a great match, so Blisovi is my second go-round. I have been on it for 5 months, and other than spotting the second week of the first pack, I haven't had a period, which is good and bad. I am always paranoid, so not having anything happen is a bit stressful for me. This one has also made me super tired (the week of inactive pills, I'm nowhere near as tired), the acne comes and goes, and I have gained about 10 lbs despite running. No mood changes or any other real complaints. Just switching because I need to have a period or something that resembles one to stay sane."

For Birth Control "First time using any type of BC, and I believe a great one to start off with. During the first week, I did have some nausea and spotting, but it helped with my heavy flow and acne. Sex drive was normal as well. From having a period of heavy flow for 8 days to a consistent 4 days with light flow. Saves money on tampons, and it gets the main job done."

For Birth Control "I have mixed emotions about this pill. I have been reading reviews and agree with most opinions on it; it sucks and should be avoided. I had been on Lomedia 24 for over two years and loved it; prevented pregnancy, perfect scheduled periods, no PMS-ing, and no acne. My doctor switched me to this one about 7 months ago (now apparently for insurance reasons, like everyone else), and I have been waiting for my body to adjust to it. The first couple of months were good, just slightly heavier periods. Now my periods are extremely irregular, which of course makes me anxious; not getting a period instantly gives me fear that I am pregnant. I use dual protection every time. My acne has gotten worse, around my chin and mouth. I have been PMS-ing the worst I have ever had in my life, and I did notice cramps and back pain recently. Light spotting during my placebo pills. I don’t know how to feel about this pill, but I am hoping to adjust to it. I did lose my appetite for a couple of months."

For Birth Control "I was put on this birth control to regulate my periods that were coming every two weeks. I started it on the Sunday following the start of my period that began the day before. During the first pack, I did notice a constant slight headache, and I started my period the Thursday of my 3rd week of active pills. Due to already having had a period, I chose not to force a withdrawal bleed on the inactive week and just started straight into a new pack of pills. I felt like I was about to start (bloating, backache, cramps) starting on the Friday of my third week, but only had a little brown spotting, so this month I decided to take the inactive pills and force the withdrawal bleed in hopes of helping stop the spotting. It is now Friday of inactive pills of the second month, and I had spotting until Tuesday and nothing since then. The period symptoms were much milder than normal and no actual bleeding, but I feel as if that was it, and I will be back on active pills starting Sunday. No weight gain."

For Birth Control "I've been on Blisovi Fe for two months now. In my first month, I experienced a lot of spotting, like I wasn't on my period but would have to use a tampon for spotting. It lasted about three weeks and has gotten way better, but I still have random spotting at least once a week. I've also noticed a small amount of weight gain, mostly in my breasts, they've grown from a D to a DDD. But with my last birth control, I gained 20 pounds in my first month on it, so I can't complain in comparison to that. Now, in my second month, I'm experiencing more hormonal acne, but I'm assuming, like the spotting, it won't last and is just my body adjusting. I think all birth control sucks and has negative impacts on your body, but so far this isn't the worst."

For Birth Control "I wanted to share my experience after reading so many reviews. I was on NuvaRing for 3 years prior, and I started realizing in the 3rd year that I had gained over 30 lbs and could not get it off for the life of me. I went off of NuvaRing about 6 months ago, and my weight drastically started going down! I am able to control my weight and lose it. Cons of Blisovi Fe 1/20 are that I have spotting in the middle of the month before my period, and it continues into my period. Then I get about a week free of spotting, and that has been since I started. I realized that I was nauseous when I first started. I thought it was from COVID and taking vitamins on an empty stomach, but it was definitely the pill the first 2 months. Now I take the pill in the morning with no nausea. My stomach has been more upset than usual, so maybe that’s a con, I’m not sure. As for sleeping, I could barely get 5 hours of sleep on NuvaRing, and now I can at least get 7 hrs, and I feel a bit more energetic."

For Birth Control "I just started this birth control about a month and a half ago. Now I have a history with anxiety and depression, and I will say the first couple of weeks I was having more and more not-so-good thoughts enter into my head, and it seemed to be a little harder for me to push them out. Also, my anxiety went up a little more than usual, I would find smaller tasks to be more of an issue. But now, a month and a half in, I don’t have as many of those thoughts and the anxiety went back to how it was before I started the pill, so that all eased up, which I’m happy about. I told myself to just stick it through. I just started spotting, but not enough to go, 'wow.' Everyone’s body is different, this is just my experience on this pill. I plan to go six months on this to see if there is any difference further down the road, but not too shabby."

For Birth Control "I was put on this prescription when my previous low-dose birth control was recalled. I have been on Blisovi Fe for about a year now. Some birth control makes my anxiety high, but I haven't noticed any major differences with this one. My periods are very light, which is nice. I hardly ever get cramps anymore (prior to birth control, my cramps and bleeding were severe to the point of blackout/vagal response). I haven't noticed any major weight gain, but I do work out regularly. Oh, and most importantly, I have not become pregnant. I had a few months with some between-period spotting, but that has stopped. I attributed that to being late taking pills by a few hours or more. Overall, I have been very satisfied with this medication."

For Birth Control "This is the first birth control I was prescribed. For the first month, I was spotting every day. That should have been the first sign that this pill was not compatible with my body. My periods were irregular for months 1-3, they wouldn't come exactly during the placebo week and weren't any lighter than my normal periods when I wasn't on the pill. During month 4, I thought I was pregnant because my boobs hurt so much, and I was cramping and nauseous. This happened for a few weeks, and I was relieved when I later had negative results for pregnancy tests and got my period. But looking back on it, that was very abnormal and probably another indicator of incompatibility. Currently, my skin is acting up, and I'm cramping. So I'm switching pills. The pros are that, as a contraceptive, it did its job, and my boobs grew a little bit. Not a whole cup size, but a noticeable difference. I don't think it noticeably affected my mental health, and I didn't gain a significant amount of weight."

For Birth Control "I am about two months into starting BC for the first time, and I couldn’t be happier. My periods used to be 4 days of excruciating cramps, hot flashes, and extreme mood swings. I absolutely love this. I have no period now (just some light spotting) around the time I would get my period. I have gained about 5 pounds, but that isn’t an issue for me. My breasts did get larger, but I will take a few negative side effects over my extreme periods. My mood is way better, and I don’t have any pain anymore!"

For Birth Control "I began this prescription roughly 7 years ago. I also had surgery, myomectomy. For the last few years, I was constantly spotting, had horrible pain prior to, during, and after sex, along with irritation around the opening. I thought this was due to my surgery. I have been off the birth control for a few weeks, and I can say without a doubt the medication was the cause of all my issues. No more pain or irritation."

For Birth Control "Everyone’s body is different, but here’s my experience so far: So I’ve been on this birth control for about 4 months now. I’ll first start off by saying I do like the birth control pill because it obviously keeps me from getting pregnant and also has made my periods lighter. They used to last about 6-7 days, and now only last around 4-5 days at the most. The first month or two, I did have some spotting in between my periods, but it subsided like the doc said it would. However, now that I’m 4 months in, I have noticed a significant change in my libido, it is currently nonexistent. Which is horrible, if I have to say, I could literally be “pleased” 2 times in a row, and it's like nothing ever happened. Along with dryness, I'm never in the mood to have sex, never think about it, NOTHING. Also, I have gained about 10 pounds almost since starting this birth control. I stay hungry all the time, like that sick feeling you get when you’re so hungry, that’s all the time for me."

For Birth Control "Horrible, horrible, horrible. Spotted for several months and headaches galore. Had to take two pills per day just to stop spotting, and even then - no luck. I called my doctor who switched me to Loestrin, which is much better. DON'T take this - just awful."

For Birth Control "I started this pill in February of 2017. My insurance switched over to this brand, and I didn’t think it would be a problem. I’m constantly spotting and cramping. My moods are terrible. My sex drive is fine. But I made the decision to finally stop. I can’t take the spotting. I enjoy sex, and it’s not fun when you’re spotting all the time. I only have it a 2 because I didn’t get pregnant...that’s the only positive remark I have."

For Birth Control "My experience on this for my first period the first month was terrible because the cramps were killer. The week before my period, I was spotting, which has never happened before. The second time, it wasn't as bad, my period lasted 3-4 days, it was light and not as painful, only mild backaches. The only thing I really can say is constant for me personally was and still is my breasts are incredibly tender. I take my pill at 8 every night, although my side effects are only mild, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. I was on Microgestin, and if my breast tenderness continues, I might have to request to switch back."
