For Birth Control "So I love Larissa! It has made my skin clear except when I’m coming on my cycle. My partner always finishes in me and never once missed my period! It also has synced with my regular previous cycle. I haven’t had any problems with bleeding! It’s been really effective for my body."

For Birth Control "I was getting the Depo-Provera shot consistently for 2 years and I got pregnant. I decided to get a medical abortion (the pill) and the doctor prescribed me Larissia. I cannot comment much about the first 2 weeks because I was bleeding heavily due to the abortion. My face cleared up a lot in the 6 months I have been taking it. I have not gained any weight and have not experienced nausea. I do have fibroids on my ovaries causing extremely painful periods. While taking this birth control, I have not had a single cramp while menstruating. In addition, I have not gotten pregnant on it, so it seems to be working. Everyone's bodies are different, so please keep that in mind. Also, people are quick to report the negative and are not so quick to report the positive. So please keep that in mind when reading all of the comments."

For Birth Control "I switched from Microgestin FE to Larissia. Microgestin FE gave me terrible anxiety and depression and made me feel like I was an alien in my own body. Switching to Larissia, I definitely had some cramping, breakthrough bleeding, mood swings, and acne during my first 2-3 packs of this pill, but after a couple months, all of those symptoms went away. My first pack, I could tell that my boobs were bigger, but that went away as well over time. I haven’t gained any weight on this pill (I was actually hoping that I would) and have less acne than I did while on other pills. I would recommend this to a friend."

For Birth Control "This is my first birth control I have ever taken. The first month I took it, everything seemed fine, but then my period was almost 3 weeks long and felt never-ending. But I’m pretty sure that was breakthrough bleeding. I was more excited about the weight gain because I have been a pretty skinny person my whole life. The first month I gained a few pounds, but now, the 3rd month, I have no appetite and I’m dropping weight like crazy. Not to mention, before taking this, I have always been a laid-back, chill person, and this BC makes me have terrible mood swings. I almost feel like a completely different person in my own body, and not in a good way. It almost makes me think I’m going crazy. Lastly, ever since I started it, I noticed my periods come 3-4 days late, and I’ve never had that problem in the past. I wouldn’t recommend this birth control if you don’t want to lose yourself, but it protects against pregnancy great."

For Birth Control "The pros: Larissia cleared up my acne, and I had no breakthrough bleeding or even periods (other than once in a while a very light one-day period). The cons: I gained seven pounds and developed anxiety so severe that I was diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder. Since quitting Larissia altogether, I feel totally like myself again. I had never struggled with anxiety or depression previously, and within a week or so of stopping it, I feel totally normal again and no crippling anxiety, so it’s hard not to come to the conclusion it was caused by Larissia. I previously took Orsythia with no problems whatsoever and was switched to Larissia due to pharmacy availability."

For Birth Control "Honestly, Larissia is not too bad. I was on Depo, which did the job, but I knew it wasn’t a long-term option. It also made me gain a lot of weight. Larissia has made me maintain my weight more. My breakthrough bleeding is barely there, and I don’t have many cramps (if any). However, I have noticed my breasts being more tender."

For Birth Control "This pill is by far the worst birth control pill and birth control experience I’ve had. It is very effective at controlling pregnancy, but the side effects suck. Worst one yet for me, I’ve been bleeding/breakthrough bleeding and spotting for about 2 weeks now. Also, mood swings and nauseous all the time. It’s been a bad couple of weeks due to this birth control pill. It sucks because people like me have to pay to see the doctor, so in order for me to change, I have to have enough money to cover the co-pay, so I have to deal with Larissia until I can afford to switch. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!"

For Birth Control "This was the first birth control I’ve ever tried, and I absolutely hated it! I took it for 2 months and got terrible nightmares every night. Also, it gave me extreme anxiety, and I suffered from heart palpitations. My mood swings were terrible, and I gained a bunch of weight. I was also bleeding for 3 weeks, but I think that’s normal for the first few months. Also, my acne got worse too. Do not take this drug with antibiotics because it gave me the weirdest delayed nervous system feeling and extreme nausea. I didn’t get pregnant, though..."

For Birth Control "I started Larissia in September 2020 and discontinued use after the 4th month. I started taking it to help with horrible pain due to my copper IUD. The breakthrough bleeding lasted about 3 weeks with no pain. It had no negative effect on my facial complexion, though in my 3rd month I began breaking out a bit on my chest. Each month the week before my period, my face would become so puffy, and my stomach bloating has been pretty much all the time. I completely lost my sex drive. Ultimately, Larissia was SO helpful for pain, but I decided the side effects were too disruptive to my life to continue use. My mood was fine. Everyone has a different body, I just wanted to share my experience."

For Birth Control "Larissia, worst birth control ever. Gave me serious headaches and extreme vertigo. As soon as I got off, I felt immediately better. I had constant breakthrough bleeding, and I’ve been on BC for a year. DON'T USE!!!"

For Birth Control "Wow, I wish I had found this site sooner! Larissa has been the absolute worst birth control pill! I have breakthrough bleeding every 2 weeks, and I’m not trying to skip my periods. I thought that my body would regulate after a while, but it’s been almost a year! Besides breakthrough bleeding, I suffered from severe cystic acne immediately after starting this. My dermatologist thought I was crazy because birth control should decrease acne, so she put me on a ton of creams. I never had acne to start and now have horrible scars. I haven’t gotten pregnant, but these side effects stink."

For Birth Control "I've been on the Larissia for about a year and never used to have issues. I usually skip my placebo pills and go right to the next pack and let my period come during the 3rd pack. Well, all that changed the other month when I started getting breakthrough bleeding in the middle of my active pills! Had to let my period come early, then go back to active pills. Everything was fine until I started having breakthrough bleeding 5 weeks later. Think it's time to switch medication."

For Birth Control "This birth control is awful. It gives me the worst spotting... for three weeks of the month! Gosh, I want to have birth control so I can have sex, not so I'm bleeding all the time."

For Birth Control "I would not recommend. Not only have I gained weight, I started breakthrough bleeding in the middle of taking these pills. Along with cramps, mood swings, the whole works."
