For Birth Control "I’m 40, and my doctor recommended that I try birth control to help control mid-cycle bleeding and horrible periods. I took this birth control for the first month and was so sick every day for that entire month. I was nauseous, bloated, anxious, and had a headache that I just couldn’t shake. It increased my acid reflux to the point that I had to sleep sitting up. I took two pills from the second pack and then threw them out. Best thing I ever did! I’d rather deal with two days of bad period cramps and one day of mid-cycle bleeding than having to deal with the side effects from this birth control! One and only positive: my period didn’t require super absorbency tampons, and my cramps were not as bad."

For Birth Control "So Larissia is my first birth control, and I read all of the side effects before use. I have been having a terrible time, I am two weeks in so far. My head always hurts, I feel sick for at least 3 hours after I take it, and I get crazy mood swings. I’m trying to stick it out until 1-3 months to see if it gets better, but so far I do not recommend. Anybody have any ideas for a new one? Though I know it tells you all the side effects, this is the worst I've ever felt, but hopefully it doesn't last."

For Birth Control "This is the first type of birth control I’ve ever been on and NOT a good experience! I am currently on the placebo pills, so the last week of the first pack. (1 month total of medication) I already struggle with acne, so when I first started taking this pill, it got worse! I have acne all over my chin, lower cheeks, and forehead! My acne is the worst it’s ever been. On top of that, I started my period today, it’s already heavier than normal, and I had to call off work today because as soon as I got up, I immediately felt nauseous and faint. I started seeing black and yellow spots and heard ringing in my ears. I have a piercing headache. Again, do NOT recommend! I am calling my doctor this week and getting off of this pill!"

For Birth Control "I have been taking this for a month. I have headaches every day for the past week. I got a little bit of acne, and I don't know if it's just me or not, but I don't ever want to get out of bed in the mornings. I called out of work even because I just couldn't and didn't feel like it. I've also had breast pain since week one."

For Birth Control "I have been on Larissa for almost four years now after switching from another higher dose of estrogen. My doctor put me on this because she thought it would make my cramps lighter, etc. I have been bloated and gained 30 pounds and look pregnant all the time! I recently developed hives and a horrible allergic reaction. I had tons of tests done, and my doctor couldn’t figure out what it was from. Little did I know I was slowly poisoning my body with this tiny pill every day for four years. I am finally saying goodbye to this horrible thing and hoping my life will get back on track. The symptoms got worse as the years went by: back pain, nausea, abdominal pain, bloating, and headaches. This isn’t worth it!"

For Birth Control "I started taking Larissa about three months ago, and it’s horrible. I have constant headaches, I have severe anxiety, and I’m extremely fatigued and can’t seem to get out of bed. I’ve been on different birth controls for years now and am considering taking a break because the side effects are not worth it. I do not recommend this birth control at all, as it’s made me feel horrible and uncontrollable."

For Birth Control "I just started taking these for only a few weeks. I have been on my period for 14 days because of this pill. I've had major headaches, sudden sharp pains in my stomach, I've felt weak and not wanting to get out of bed. Seriously, don't take these pills, they're awful."

For Birth Control "I had been on this pill for years and dealt with anger, weight gain, acne, back pain, and headaches. I stopped it and switched to another pill that kept me in the bathroom all the time, so I decided to switch back to Larissia, and that’s when I noticed how much it actually changes me. I am so angry and can’t even stand myself. After reading these reviews, I’m quitting it. Not worth the hassle, can’t lose weight at all, either always bloated, literally makes me think I’m crazy!"

For Birth Control "Larissia, worst birth control ever. Gave me serious headaches and extreme vertigo. As soon as I got off, I felt immediately better. I had constant breakthrough bleeding, and I’ve been on BC for a year. DON'T USE!!!"

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking Larissia for about two weeks, and I hate it. I’ve been having constant spotting for the past week, slight nausea, headache, anxiety, and just low motivation all around. Mind you, this is my second time taking birth control, I first took another brand for three and a half years, and it was completely symptom-free, minus being slightly more emotional. I can’t wait to finish this pack of Larissia, I’m so tempted to just throw the rest of the pack away and deal with the consequences, lol."

For Birth Control "I started Larissa over a month ago to manage PCOS. I went from barely having any period symptoms besides vaginal tenderness to experiencing headaches, tender breasts, cramps, fatigue, and sometimes nausea. However, I think this is because my body is still adjusting to the hormones. I don’t have any mental symptoms. I’m not sexually active, but this med makes me super wet and horny all the time, especially when I normally would be ovulating. It has worked really well for me, though, regulated my period right away and is preventing infertility and reproductive cancers. So I’m good with popping some Midol to treat side effects."

For Birth Control "I came on this website to see if anyone else was experiencing the same things. They are. I have been on Larissia for two years now. This was the first birth control I ever took. When I first started taking it, I remember it gave me severe cramps! But all was good after I took it for a few months because I no longer had periods. Then I started developing side effects of severe headaches, horrendous acne on my face and back, nausea all the time, light sensitivity to the point of many passing out spells, poor circulation in my hands and feet to the point of no feeling, vision loss, loss of appetite, severe sensitivity in my breasts, weight loss and gain, horrendous mood swings, horrible anxiety, always feeling confused, and many more. Don’t take this birth control! It’s not worth it. I’m in the stage right now of not taking it, trying to get back to normal."

For Birth Control "Experience nausea and tons of headaches while on this birth control. Was told to take birth control later in the day so I could essentially sleep through nausea. Decided to just switch birth control."

"IDK who needs to hear this, but this BC is the reason you’re not feeling like yourself. I have been taking Larissia for 8 months. At first, I was only experiencing painful, constant headaches and increased appetite, but as time went on, the side effects worsened, and TBH, I was in denial and didn’t want to switch because my periods are so light and only last 3 days. But it’s not worth how fatigued, angry, uncontrollable, depressed, anxious, and emotional I feel. I have been falling out with the people closest to me for no reason. My sex drive decreased, the headaches are so painful my vision gets blurry, and with all this, I have a child to care for. So, I’m here to warn you: pay close attention to your body. If you feel even slightly different, immediately stop taking it because it will get worse. Avoid this BC at all costs!!"
