For Birth Control "I have never been a fan of Birth Control Pills. However, due to major cramps my Dr. suggested this method to regulate and easy my period pain. I was prescribed Daisy but the pharmacy end up giving me Ashlyna instead. I have the 3 mos, lowest dose pills. The 1st month my period came normal and NO PAIN. But unfortunately for the second month which I am currently under ( only 3 pills left) I have been with my period for a month. No major cramps or heavy bleeding, but I have been using panty liners for the entire time. Very light period but I am tired of bleeding. I feel weaker and swollen. I don't drink water as I should. However, I've noticed I am retaining too much liquid ever since I started these pills. Will give it time to see if it works"

For Birth Control "I've never bled so badly on a pill before. On my old generic, it was a normal amount. Now I've developed problems with anemia. My anxiety is worse. I've had an increase in paranoid feelings. I'm broken out like a teenager! I'm off this pill asap."

For Birth Control "I started my first pill the same day when my last period just started (7/30), then continued taking it for 13 days at exactly the same time every day, then I had to stop it as I just couldn’t stand the nonstop spotting and bleeding! I took this BC with the intention to skip period as I travel a lot for work, now I ended up with constantly bleeding!? Today is day 3 after I stopped the pill, it turned from spotting to light/medium flow, which is expected, even though it is just in the middle of my normal cycle. I hope my cycle was not too messed up. Definitely not for me!"

For Birth Control "Almost a year later and I'm still getting a period despite continuously taking the pill. If I continue taking the pill when my period starts, I will bleed until I stop taking it. I have literally bled for a month continuously multiple times while on this. I will take one more round of it and then give up."

For Birth Control "I started this birth control in February and I experienced spotting for about 2 weeks and then I started to bleed 1.5 months into it and didn’t stop until I started the next pack. This still happens every pack and I’ve gotten used to it but I plan on switching not only because of this. Also, after 4 months on it I started to realize I became very emotional (which I used to never get upset or rarely cry) and, I would go through depressive episodes that lasted about a week where I wouldn’t want to leave the house and would just cry for no reason. I also gained 10lbs since starting this but this was over quarantine so, not for sure if I can directly say it was the birth control. I get headaches 2-4 times a week which I used to never get. My boobs grew two sizes. My acne got a little better but not really. It did lighten my period which was nice because I used to have the heaviest period where I could only make it 45 mins in a ultra tampon. Overall I do not recommend this birth control"

For Birth Control "I just started taking this medication over 2 weeks ago, and I cannot even explain how much it has already set me back. I began this specific birth control to lessen the amount of periods I was having, but I am so excited to have my body back. My depression and anxiety TANKED just within two weeks of taking Ashlyna. If I feel this way now I just can't even imagine what it would do with further use. I really tried to push through the first few months but I can no longer take the way this medication has made me feel. Not to mention, I can literally feel the energy drain from my body everyday. Forget being able to go to class and study for school. I have had to take a nap after just being awake for an hour or so. SO not normal for me."

For Birth Control "Honestly, the best part of Ashlyna is I have little to no cramps like I used to but now I have long spotty periods. I've been on this period for probably 2 months straight now and it's annoying as anything. I'm almost done with this pack and I'm probably not going to take it again."

For Birth Control "I started Ashlyna Aug 2020! It has been absolutely amazing!!! So far this is the best birth control I’ve ever had and works well with my body. I would recommend others read the reviews but don’t allow yourself to base your decision on reviews. Every woman’s body is different! And that is very true! The only side effect I have is occasionally tiredness! No breakthrough bleeding, no sore breast , no headaches no horror story! Try for yourself"

For Birth Control "I have been on Ashlyna since I was 16 to help me with my excessive periods & severe cramps. I am now 18 about to be 19 and it’s the best thing that has happened to me. I got my period at the age of 8 and I used to get my periods for 2 weeks with a heavy flow and cramps that made it impossible to get anything done. At the age of 16 I started the pill and quickly noticed my skin improving and my anemia iron deficiency went away. I got my period every 3 months with a light flow and very little cramping. My hormones were never out of order, I didn’t gain weight, I didn’t break out, I had 0 side affects other than my skin clearing up which is a positive. It’s the best thing that’s happened to me and I recommend any girl who has menstrual issues to try this out."

For Birth Control "Omgoodness! I loved this birth control. I’m used to extremely heavy gruesome periods and this definitely tamed them down. Love the period every 3 months. HOWEVER! I have gained over 30 POUNDS in the 5 months I’ve been taking it. I have never ever been this heavy. I do not over eat, I don’t even eat very much. My doctor said it most definitely is from this birth control. I’d rather be over weight than pregnant but I’m switching immediately. I’m 30 and have been on birth control for 15 years. I have never experienced weight gain from birth control before. Bye Ashlyna!"

For Birth Control "Do not try taking Ashlyna, I wouldn’t recommend this birth control. During the first month I experienced headaches, nausea, appetite decreased, second month my liver enzyme were high, then I developed a blood clot in my lungs (pulmonary embolisms). Also wouldn’t recommend it if you have SLE... Do your research before using Ashlyna. This medication is like a death wish, it tells you the warning signs so why take the risk. Good luck."

For Birth Control "Wow this birth control was the worst kind I have ever been on. From my previous experiences I’ve never actually had a birth control that made me gain weight (although it wasn’t excessive) it was still something I didn’t want to happen. And that’s for someone who’s eats clean and works out almost everyday. Besides this my emotions were bouncing off the wall. I think by far the worst side effect was the constant breakthrough bleeding which is why I ultimately decided to change. Do not take this pill please look for other options"

For Birth Control "Ashlyna is my first contraceptive pill. My doctor recommended this for my painful period cramps etc. The first 3 days was ok. Slight cramp, nausea and dull headache but on the 4th day the pain has intensified. So after 15 days, I decided to stop. It was effective in the sense that it stopped my period but the nausea and cramping almost every day was worrying. The worst of all side effects is the HEADACHE. Pain needle excruciating headache on the right side. Now 1 week after stopping taking the pill, I am still experiencing the headache in the same intensity as the first time. I am someone who almost never had headaches and having to suffer this almost a month now is disconcerting. I’ve been taking 600 mg ibuprofen every 2-4 hours because the pain is so intense it’s affecting my day to day activities. I’ve been regretting being on this pill. It’s suppose to help with my cramps but instead I had cramps everyday worst- I developed this headache that doesn’t seems to go away. I need to go see the Doctor about this."

For Birth Control "So I started this pill to help reduce the ovarian cysts that I was having develop. It has definitely worked at making them get smaller and they are almost completely gone. Every other birth control I’ve taken, have all made me horribly sick and caused my period pains to be so bad I would pass out from the pain & vomit every morning. It would get to the point where I had a period that would not stop for 3 months & I developed an even worse case of anemia than I had before. With these pills, I am not scared to take birth control anymore. I’ve taken these for a year now and have never once had any complications. I notice that when I miss a day my period will start immediately but it’s not nearly as terrible as before. I love that these work in a three month interval. If other birth control pills are not working for you I highly recommend trying these. My only complaint would be the price for these pills as they are $130.00 at my local pharmacy because I do not have insurance."

For Birth Control "This was my first birth control I ever tried since my periods were never regular. I had very little side effects until half way through the first pack. I started bleeding pretty heavy for 5 weeks straight with cramps. I thought because my body was getting used to it to just keep taking it and it's get better. Again on the second pack almost exactly the same time as the first I'm bleeding again. I went to the doctor to change it and now I have to finish this birth control, most likely I'll be bleeding all the way through but instead of taking the sugar pills I'll be starting the new pill. I'm going to take vyfemla which is a higher dose and see how that goes... other than the bleeding I've experienced this was a great birth control. I just need more predictability and regularity in my cycle"

For Birth Control "The pros for me is that I have not had a cycle since taking Ashlyna. The down side is I have put on a lot of weight and have no sex drive and very moody. I'm switching because this weight gain is too much for me to bear"

For Birth Control "Okay so at first I really liked this birth control. Before taking it, I didn’t have a period for 4 months mind you, when I started my 3rd tray I started spotting and I eventually got my period. Then I continued spotting and as I reached my yellow pills I got the heaviest period ever. I got a refill and it is camrese. I don’t know the effects of that one yet because I’m still on my yellow pills for ashlyna. But I’m gonna keep an open mind. If my period doesn’t go away/if I continue to spot I’m gonna go to the emergency room. I can’t say I love this medication, and I can’t say I hate it either. I don’t like it because it’s really screwing up my cycle. I hope it works itself out."

For Birth Control "This medication made me incredibly depressed and down, uninterested in life, depressed, and very anxious. I had no sex drive. My vagina was completely dry. It was an awful experience for me. I had to stop taking it and switch to another generic due to these side effects because I was at the lowest I had ever been"

For Birth Control "The packaging for this product is TERRIBLE! I have to push the pills out with a teaspoon to get them started on the plastic side (top) then, as the pill is starting to come out from the foil, I have to pick it the rest of the way with my fingernail. Please update your packaging. It is not able to be done with a bare fingertip as every other birth control pack I've tried in my life."

For Birth Control "I started this birth control because I had bad period cramps that would prevent me from going to school. When I went to my doctor she offered me a few options... The 3 month sounded the most appealing so I was prescribed ashlyna. Every thing went well for the first month then half way through the pack I started spotting and this went on for a week straight until it turned into an extremely heavy period to the point where I bled through a super tampon within a few hours then it lightened up after about a week but I was still spotting and I continued to spot on and off until I got to the placebo pills which I am taking now, my period is still extremely painful I'm going to try it for another 3 months and see if the symptoms continue."

For Birth Control "I have noticed little to no side effects since being on this birth control pill for over 5 years. Of course I experienced the usual headaches and occasional breakouts, but there was one side effect that frustrated me the most. I assumed that after being on this pill for 5 years, my body would’ve adjusted to it by now. However, about 2 weeks leading up to my period, I experience heavy spotting every day. It’s very frustrating to me because when this happens it seems like my period lasts for 3 weeks. I’m very religious about taking my pills every day at the same time, so I think it’s time for a change in my birth control. Other than that, I was very pleased with Ashlyna!"

For Birth Control "On Ashlyna and have had no spotting at all so far 2 weeks in but since day 1 I have had side effects of horrible back pain and really bad nausea and dizzy spells. Doc recommended taking the pill at night before I had even started to help with the nausea but it doesn't help taking it at 9pm. I'm not sure if I can keep taking them much longer. I'm going to see if my regular doctor can prescribe an anti nausea pill or something as I've heard other girls get such things to take with their birth control. The reason I started taking birth control is to stop my heavy and painful 10-14 day long bad periods! 4 or 5 stars so far. I hope this birth control gets better with time!!"

For Birth Control "I started Ashlyna at the request of my dr, not for BC, but to help heavy periods. I couldn't go but 45 minutes at a time--but only for a couple days, then light for the next 3-4 days. I am 2 weeks away from finishing one pack and here is what I know. My skin is a mess, I have had more headaches and some migraines (that were horrible) and have had breakthrough bleeding and the same amount of periods--that seem to last way longer than they did before. I can't take the headaches...they are awful and I am so very tired all the time. I think at this point I will take the heavy periods--at least I knew when they were coming instead of having to be prepared every day for several months. And they were over in 5 days....then freedom for the rest of the month. I can't take these hormones. Please check with your doctor before starting these--I almost didn't after reading the reviews and decided to give them a go, the idea of one period every 4 months was great--but totally not worth the side effects."

For Birth Control "I started using Ashlyna about a month and a half ago to help with my endometriosis and lessen my periods. I have been bleeding for 14 days straight now a month and a half before I’m supposed to have a period. Severe cramping. The bloating and weight gain is insane. I’ve gained 10 pounds since I’ve started this birth control. I eat healthy and work out and every time I go to the doctor I have gained 2 pounds... I wouldn’t recommend this. It makes you feel bloating gross and cramps worse."

For Birth Control "Ashlyna for me in the beginning was great, but over the 3 months of not getting my period took a toll on my body. I could tell when I was supposed to be getting my period but obvious wouldn't ever come because of there being no sugar pills. My libido had never come back when taking this, and after going off entirely my anxiety skyrocketed and has been the worst ever since going off. I wish iInever taken this birth control."
