Reviews for Diclofenac / misoprostol
Arthrotec (diclofenac / misoprostol) "I was prescribed Arthrotec 75/0.2MG. I had spinal surgery on L5 in 2001 by an orthopedist and in 2009 on same disc by a neurosurgeon. In 2009, I took a long time to recover. Also, I am suffering from degenerative disc disease on S1 to the point of self fusion (a good thing as it stabilized my lower back). In 2009, I was prescribed Arthrotec 75 / 0.2MG I found this to be a miracle. I only take it as needed and only when it wears off. Once a week or as needed. FANTASTIC results! It takes years off my body. I am 62."
Arthrotec (diclofenac / misoprostol) "I just started Arthotec 75 mg two days ago. I can't believe that after 2 pills I was feeling no pain. My legs were working, I could walk normally, my spine wasn't hurting and my feet were pain free. This is a new life for me. I have been in constant pain for a long time and needed injections in my feet and spine to cope. I am ready to tell the world how well this is working for me."
Arthrotec (diclofenac / misoprostol) "I have been on Arthrotec for 23 yrs now and can not recommend it for everyone but for me it was a life saver. I have RA and went threw many back surgeries (7) to repair degenerated disks. For a year I was in a wheel chair unable to walk and never left the house. MANY doctors told me that I had to resolve myself to living a life of a person who only has limited mobility. My intern a young man right out of med school recommended this. In the last 23 years I have lived a full and VERY active life and could keep up with a 35yr old (im 77 now). It saved my life , I could not live without it, I am active, travel, have sex and do anything I could (almost) when I was 50. For me it is wonder drug..."
Arthrotec (diclofenac / misoprostol) "I have been in pain for years and have been on Cymbalta, gabapentin and Tylenol 3 for 2 and a half years. I suffer from arthritis and herniated discs, degenerative disc disease. Yesterday my doctor put me on Arthrotec 50mg. It made me sick to my stomach but my pain was mostly gone. I could actually put on a pair of pants and socks without my hips and back hurting. I'm 34 and hope to live a long life and being in pain everyday was making me depressed. I think there is hope. So far so good with Arthrotec."

Arthrotec (diclofenac / misoprostol) "I tried Celebex and other drugs to releived joint pain in the ankles, knees, wrist and fingers with little relief. 3 days on Arthrotec 75, only once a day and I was almost as good as new. Able to work on the treadmill, take long hikes, write and type. Maybe the best part was not waking up at night with pain in all the fingers. By accident, I also found that taking one pill ever other day is suffient for me."
Arthrotec (diclofenac / misoprostol) "I am 73 and just found out I have torn ligaments, tendonitis and arthritis in both wrists. For about a year now I have had stabbing pains in my wrists and hands. After taking three Arthrotec 50 my pain is gone. But, I also have a gastric problem with reflux and for the last two nights have had extreme bloating and reflux. I took the fifth tablet this evening. It is so bad tonight that I have to stay awake. I can not go to sleep, even while sitting up in a chair for fear of having the reflux again. I have had the reflux two times already tonight when I dosed off. So I am here now typing this at 4:30 AM so I do not fall asleep again. The Arthrotec works, but I can not take any more of them."
Arthrotec (diclofenac / misoprostol) "I have osteoarthrititis, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia and sciatica and have tried many other pain medicines with Celebrix being the last. I am taking Arthrotec 50mg 3x a day and by the second day I was very pleased with the results. My pain has lessened from a 7-8 down to a 2-4 level. I have Vicodin as a stand by and haven't taken any this past month, I went from taking 1 to 3 a day to none, that is a good thing!!"
Arthrotec (diclofenac / misoprostol) "Was given Arthrotec 75 (1x/day) for residual pain following a car accident. Got to the point I could barely walk most days and, on my best days, would have very little endurance for walking or even standing. By day 2 of taking Arthrotec 75, I felt like I was made whole again. It is my wonder drug. Found I can skip a day and be okay if not too much physical activity, and at times have taken a 2nd dose midday during more strenuous activities. No side effects that I have noticed. I don't like taking medicines so I hope I won't need to take these for too long, but so grateful for them right now. I can actually do things for myself again."
Arthrotec (diclofenac / misoprostol) "I'm a 40 year old Mom with stage 4 breast cancer with metastasis to bone from head to toe. As you can imagine, I'm in considerable pain all the time. They have kept upping my morphine and although going without the morphine is not an option I am tired of doubling it all the time. I since gone to a pain doctor that prescribed Arthrotec 75 and at last I can go hiking with my kids again. I can go shopping with them and not be exhausted from pain. I am very grateful to Arthrotec 75 because it has given me a piece of my life back. The only side effects I've had from it is a little bit of an achy stomach and I've been very gassy. Well worth the trade off."
Arthrotec (diclofenac / misoprostol) "I love Arthrotec and did not realize just how well it was working for me until I switched to Celebrex, which did nothing. Within days on Celebrex I was so stiff I could hardly walk. I have back issues from arthritis (nerve impingement, etc.) and have epidural spinal injections. I promptly went right back to the Arthrotec. But, I do realize now that the Arthrotec does make me very drowsy and hungry. The hunger and cravings is really strange, but during the time on Celebrex I wasn't hungry at all while dieting. So, it's either pain and stiffness, or drowsiness and hunger. I chose not to have pain."
Arthrotec (diclofenac / misoprostol) "This is a wonder drug! I have not been able to lie down for more than a few hours for years. Since I started Arthrotec 75 I can stay in bed 8 hours with almost NO pain. I have painful hips and shoulders."
Arthrotec (diclofenac / misoprostol) "I had been taking Arthrotec 75mg 2 X's per day for several years and it worked great! No more severe pain in my lower back but HUMANA decided I didn't need it any longer, just because there was no generic for it. Now I live in severe pain daily. Other medicines either do not work or they hurt my stomach so bad I can't take them. I miss my Arthrotec. "
Arthrotec (diclofenac / misoprostol) "I have been on Arthrotec 50mg three times daily for 25 years. I have never experienced any of the negative symptoms some other reviewers have mentioned. I have severe osteoarthritis. It is especially severe in my spine. As a result I have had numerous surgeries, fusions etc. each time before and following surgery I am told to stop taking Arthrotec for an extended time. Two weeks ago I had cervical spine surgery, so no arthrotec. Today I can hardly walk up and down stairs or get out of a chair! I am 77 yrs old and in good health. I weigh only 117 so it is not my weight that is holding me back. For me Arthrotec is a firm 10!"
Arthrotec (diclofenac / misoprostol) "I found this medicine relieved my pain very well. I was taking 75 mg twice a day and this did me very well. Except I had a side effect that caused me concern. I gained 25 pounds and could not lose this weight. Gaining weight is not good when you suffer arthritis. Until I was taken off this drug I could not lose weight and kept gaining. When I was off it I lost 5 pounds in one month and now have lost 20 of the 25 I gained. "
Arthrotec (diclofenac / misoprostol) "Lupus: I have been taking Arthrotec for two weeks now; my symptoms have improved tremedously. I tired Mobic 15 mg., Celebrex, Lyrica and just about everything else that would decrease pain. I know it has side effects but walking and being productive is well worth the risk."
"Prescibed two arthrotec 75 daily plus two tramadol due to osteoarthritis in both knees had to drop to one arthrotec taken in the morning due to reflux and vomit during night.Feel hunger constantly even when fed.Weight hard to manage and can still feel sick and dizzy with a burbling stomach for hours after taking arthrotec"
Arthrotec (diclofenac / misoprostol) "I have had problems with my back for decades. Now, at 73, the challenges are worse. The family doctor says my whole back is degenerating (arthritis and compressed discs primarily). I have used Arthrotec in the past (at 50 mg. or 75 mg.). I got away from it when I developed chronic kidney disease. My family doctor has me on Tylenol Arthritis (the maximum amount I can take). I've been taking that for a while, but now I'm getting breakthrough pain. My kidney specialist said Arthrotec would be ideal for breakthrough, but no more than one tablet a day. It all works. I am very happy with the results."
"I was prescribed 50-0.2 mg twice a day. This medicine did work to relieve my back pain, but it came at a cost. It caused me to have severe stomach cramps and constantly feel nauseous. I had to stop taking the medicine because of this problem."
"I was taking Diclofenac-Mistrust 75-200 TB twice daily. It caused me to have gastritis so severe that I thought I would die. Had to stop taking it and begin another medication for my stomach. Don't like it at all"
"Tried several anti inflammatory drugs with 0 pain relief. I was ready to try cortisone shots in my painful crippling hips ( both ) til my Dr said let my try this last pill for you with Immediate pain relief!!! I cried & felt like giving my Dr a big tearful hug! Wow...what a difference. Taking 75"
Arthrotec (diclofenac / misoprostol) "After taking two 50mg doses am and pm I am having to sit up in bed hoping that the gas and stomach upset will pass so I can get some sleep. I did notice some pain relief but I won't take it again due to the stomach upset."
Arthrotec (diclofenac / misoprostol) "I have Multiple sclerosis (MS) AND severe arthritis. The pain of arthritis is difficult sometimes to define from the other pain effects. If I fall, which is often, that pain is much worse. Lately, I was stupid so I increased the Arthrotec, after having frequent falls and finding the pain too much. Because of the higher dose, now I have edema (swelling) in my legs, and feet. I must start weaning back to a lesser dose since edema may not be likely, but it IS listed as a possibility. Even with my MS, I never had edema. I have to wing it from here. I'd rather have pain from ages-present arthritis, than edema because I stupidly thought a rather low dose would be a good thing to increase without considering the cost of really bad side effects. Lesson to take away: leave the dosing to your doctor and don't play at being a know-it-all because that never, ever works."
"Very helpful with arthritis pain but side effects outweigh helpfulness. I noticed nausea, severe leg cramps, feeling uncomfortable after eating small amount of food, fast weight gain. The main reason I quit this medication was because I felt it was making my antidepressant medication (Effexor) way less effective."
"I couldn’t take Celebrex for more than 3 days in a row because it would cause stomach pain, but I had found relief from arthritis pain only if I took the recommended dose. One day, my orthopedic doctor gave me samples of Arthrotec 75 to last until a new re-supply of Celebrex came in through my mail order pharmacy. With the very first Arthrotec, I got complete relief from my arthritis aches and pains. As a result, I decided to wait until my pain came back before taking another. I was able to wait several days before needing another (I’m patient with pain as long as I can function without medication), and I found that I got complete relief with each tablet. I never take 2 a day, and I never have to take them 2 days in a row. I never went back to Celebrex, incidentally. I recommend taking Arthrotec only as needed due to the risks involved with ANY medication. I can honestly recommend it to anyone except a high-risk patient. The effects are dramatic."

Arthrotec (diclofenac / misoprostol) "I have been taking Arthrotec for 25 years and gradually have had to increase to get the same relief. I was taking 75 mg two times a day. My concern at this time is that my Kidneys have been slowly deteriorating over time and I did not even notice it until my doctor called me yesterday after some blood work and asked me to stop taking it. I am having blood work again Monday and I already know that my Kidneys are working better. It is a tough call because the pain is coming back full force. I also have Fibromyalgia and type 2 diabetes and other issues. I wish there was a way to find relief from pain without medicines and if you had asked me a week ago I would have told you that I would be hooked on Arthrotec and could not imagine life without it."
