For Birth Control "I hope people aren't deterred by other reviews on this site. Typically, people go online to leave bad reviews. I, on the other hand, have had a GREAT experience with this birth control thus far. I have been on it for about a month and have had no side effects! Before Mircette, I tried EVERYTHING-Sprintec, tri-sprintec, the patch, the ring, Yaz, etc. A lot of pills made me very moody, anxious, depressed, or excessively fatigued. Some pills made me very sick to my stomach. Mircette has been awesome. My hormonal acne has already cleared up, I don't get upset to my stomach at all, and I haven't experienced mood swings. I am thrilled that I finally found a birth control that works for me. I HIGHLY recommend trying it."

For Birth Control "I honestly was so afraid from reading the reviews on this pill. Been on it for a month and: No vaginal sensitivity, sex drive is fine, boobs are fine, no nausea, no spotting, I have been sleepy, but I work a lot, so (?), my mood is normal, if not improved... Trust me, folks, it's not everyone. I gained 100 lbs on Junel, and if anything, I've lost weight on Isibloom. I got it through the pill club. I'm having my usual moodiness towards period time, but nothing else. Don't be too afraid. Also, don't think too much or you might cause yourself to experience non-existent symptoms!"

For Birth Control "The reviews on here are all so harsh, lol. I felt like I needed to give my experience. I’ve been on Isibloom for over a year, and I’ve had no issues. When I first started, I was so worried about how my body would react based on other experiences, but everyone is different. I’ve had no problems, I often take it continuously to skip my period and have no problems. I really like it, sometimes if I take it continuously for a while, my breasts will get sore, and I might be a little moody. But then I take the placebo and have my period, and I feel fine after that. This really works for my body. You never know how you will react."

For Birth Control "I was put on Apri because I had horrible cramps and long, heavy periods. I took it for about six months, and around the five-month mark, my longtime boyfriend and I broke up. He told me it was because I was 'too emotional' and stressed him out. He was right, before Apri, I was always happy and relaxed, but on it, I would lie in bed at night and cry sometimes for no reason at all. I had constant fatigue, frequent headaches, mood swings, moodiness, and felt depressed a lot of the time. After a conversation with my boyfriend, I realized that we began to argue about the time I got on Apri. I went to my doctor and told her this, and she told me that this was because of its high levels of progesterone. I switched and am much better now without Apri."

For Birth Control "So I was on a regular birth control, Ortho, and gained weight and was super moody and crying all the time. I got switched to Mircette, doctor thought less hormones would be good, and she was right. I lost weight, I wasn't crying nonstop, and when I was ready to have my son, I was pregnant within a month of stopping the pill. I ended up getting an IUD after, and it was the biggest mistake of my life. It threw my body's immune system into a panic, and my health got worse and worse. Acne, weight gain, like being pregnant, etc. Doctor removed it, and I am going back to Mircette. Best birth control I have ever used."

For Birth Control "I have to say the best birth control I've ever been on. I have high free testosterone and was diagnosed with PCOS. Still have sex drive and think Apri even increased it more. I haven't gotten any acne on it so far either. I'm not moody or anything that I noticed. Yet I've been on it for 5 days so far. If I notice anything different, I will repost."

For Birth Control "The first thing to remember is that everyone's body will react completely differently to different types of birth control. It all depends on your body. I was on Reclipsen for one year. I'm a pretty upbeat and happy person, but literally, as soon as I started taking Reclipsen, I fell into depression. I hated it. I wasn't myself, I was moody, irritable, I lost confidence, and I was really, really sad, which is not like me at all. I also gained a ton of weight, which didn't help with the whole self-confidence thing. The only good thing I have to say about it is that I didn't get pregnant, and my periods were shorter."

For Birth Control "I was prescribed Kariva after another birth control became too expensive. I was afraid to try it out since there were so many negative reviews, but I am happy to say that this is a magical little pill (so far). I have not experienced any weight gain, moodiness, or low libido. My acne cleared up (I'm 27 and have always battled with acne) for the most part. The only drawback is some mild discharge, but nothing to worry about. I LOVE this pill!"

For Birth Control "Effective at preventing pregnancy. My skin was perfect on this pill. However, I was very tired, moody, and had increased amounts of discharge, which is finally what made my doctor switch me to a new birth control pill. Didn't affect my sex drive though."

For Birth Control "I love this birth control pill. It's my second month on, and I haven't had trouble with any negative side effects. I used to have horrible periods (horrible cramps, puking, the whole nine yards), but now there's only light cramping on the first day. Shorter, lighter period for sure. I haven't gained any weight - if at all, I've lost a few pounds. I used to have some trouble with breakouts, but my skin is clear as can be now. The only thing I've noticed is I'm a bit moodier, but I don't want to blame that on Kariva since my relationship's going through a rough patch. Everyone's different, but Kariva definitely worked amazingly for me."

For Birth Control "I have been on Kariva for three months now. It has been the first birth control I have tried, and it seems to work in the area of birth control, as I have not become pregnant. However, I have had my period for eight days every two weeks and finally figured out that my depression symptoms may have been caused by it; I've been terribly moody, depressed, and cry way more often than normal once I started taking Kariva. Sleep disruptions, loss of appetite, and lower sex drive have also been symptoms I've experienced."

For Birth Control "I was previously on Yaz, both for birth control and to reduce my mild acne. I am normally a very happy, optimistic person, yet this pill made me depressed and very moody. I switched to Apri, it's been 4 months, and I love it. I am not moody at all, and haven't gained any weight."

For Birth Control "I had previously been on Microgestin, which didn't work well for me. I was cranky, tired, moody, and found myself having bleeding between periods. My doctor put me on Apri, and it doesn't affect my mood whatsoever. I feel fine, my periods are light and (bonus!) only last 2-3 days. Also, I'm not pregnant, so it definitely works."

For Birth Control "I’ve been taking Enskyce for about 7 months now, and my periods are only 4 days and very light. I have no cramps, my skin is clear, I never gained weight, and I don’t get headaches. However, in the past 3 months, I have been so extremely moody that I’m choosing to stop taking this. If one little unfortunate thing happens, I am a total sobbing mess, and I can’t deal with it anymore. I waited to see if it would get better, but it has only gotten worse."

For Birth Control "I have been using this birth control for about 3 months. I had no serious side effects. I got bigger breasts and perhaps thicker thighs. I did not gain weight because I still weigh the same. Perhaps I was working out too much (about 3-5 per week) and gained more muscle on my thighs. There were no mood problems or spotting. I think maintaining a healthy diet and working out helps not only to maintain your weight but also to be healthy emotionally too."

For Birth Control "Haven’t gotten pregnant on this, and my period is pretty light. It lasts about 5 days. My face is also pretty clear, except for random chin breakouts. However, I am SO moody/ sporadically depressed, have gained 15 lbs, and have a severely decreased sex drive. I kept thinking something was wrong with me because I’ve always been very easy-going/positive, but I’m beginning to think it’s this pill. Beware!"

For Birth Control "Holy no. I do NOT recommend this birth control medication. I've been on it for three months now, and I've experienced: bloating, breakthrough bleeding (heavy), headaches, moodiness (anger), crying, increase of Tourette's tics, anxiety, 7/10 lower back pain, weight gain, increase in desire for all things sugar :( And the blister pack itself is terrible! I've never had such a difficult pack to use. I wouldn't recommend this medication whatsoever."

For Birth Control "My last BC caused me to have acne, and while it did prevent pregnancy, it made me extremely moody. I switched to Cyred, and for the first 2 weeks, I was a little bloated, but nothing major, and it cleared my skin! I only get a random small zit or two around my period and occasional breast soreness, but it definitely does the job, and it prevents pregnancy! It hasn’t made me gain any incredible amounts of weight or made me irritable or moody, so I won’t be switching anytime soon!"

For Birth Control "Been taking Apri for about 2 1/2 months, and I've gained about 10 lbs. My sex drive is extremely low, and I'm really moody for no apparent reason. It's really interfering with my relationship. I also have been having chest pains, and I feel a heaviness in my chest when I wake up. When my period came on after the first month, I had really bad cramps. The only reason I gave it a 3 is because I have an irregular period, and it came on time while taking Apri."

For Birth Control "Honestly, I was terrified to use this pill after seeing the reviews, but for some reason, I did it anyway. I have only been on it for a week, but the main side effects I experienced aren't as bad as I thought. I do have severe bloating, but any anti-bloat pill can fix that, you know, and I expect my body to eventually adjust to the pills and stop bloating. The pill made my period SO MUCH lighter, but I did get some spotting following my period. I do get a little moodier, but once I noticed it was from the pill, I was able to control it a little better (even though I am still crying over dumb things). Also, I did eat really healthy last week because I feared gaining weight on birth control, so I actually ended up losing 3 pounds."

For Birth Control "After reading a lot of negative reviews, I was nervous at first to start Kariva. I automatically thought it was going to be bad for me, but I have not had one bad thing to say about Kariva. It cleared my skin a couple of months after starting it, along with preventing pregnancy. Other than that, my sex drive, weight, moods, and eating habits have all stayed the same. I think it really differs from person to person because I love it."

For Birth Control "I used to be all organic for 28 years. I started this birth control and now I’ve been on it for almost a year. I gained an insane amount of weight, 15-20 lbs total. I would have a ravenous appetite, be moody and depressed. Crazy amounts of anxiety and overall unhappiness. I would always be so energized, and this made me lazy and sad. I would have really scary thoughts, losing my self-confidence. The worst part of this drug was finding bald spots in my hair. I have thick, healthy, really long hair, and I felt so sad and heartbroken to find bald spots. I was devastated and decided then and there to stop it. I never want to be on birth control again. I am really scared to ever try this again, I will be using condoms instead. I will highly recommend that no one try this drug, it is unhealthy, and the side effects are just traumatizing. I don’t think this type of drug should be approved by the FDA because of the amount of negative side effects it has on women."

For Birth Control "I just started month three of Isibloom, and until today, the only side effect was me being a little more moody. I awoke this morning in severe pain and was seen in the emergency room. I was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism (a blood clot in my lungs) caused by my birth control. I now have to be on blood thinners for a minimum of six months. I have always been a very healthy person and am only 22 years old."

For Birth Control "Enskyce contraceptive pill sucks. I've been on it for a week, and my period usually only lasts 3 days, but I've been bleeding since I first took it. I'm extremely moody and get irritated at everything! I feel nauseated and have intermittent cramps, which also never happens. I'm switching to a different brand this coming week. I hope the bleeding stops."

For Birth Control "I took this pill for a year and a half before I decided enough was enough. It cleared my face up, and I did not experience tremendous weight gain, but I lost my sex drive and became extremely moody and depressed. I was crying over everything, I was always irritated and angry at my boyfriend, and on top of that, I never wanted him to touch me. I stopped taking the pill about three weeks ago, and I cannot begin to explain the difference that I already feel. I finally feel like my bubbly, lovable self again, and it feels great."
