For Birth Control "I understand that medication affects everyone differently, but this has been heaven-sent for me. I joined an online contraceptive company and they prescribed me this. After reading the reviews, I was mortified to take it. I even asked them for a different brand, but they told me there’s nothing else my insurance covered. I know the miserable person I am, I am so sad and emotional all the time. My mood swings are off the rails. ANYWAY, so I have no choice, I start taking this and holy moly, I have never felt more normal. I mean I wake up, feel refreshed, and feel overall way more calm. This is my first experience with pill birth control, and I’m 25. I’ve done the shot once before and I hated it, I was legit throwing plates from my dishwasher against the wall like frisbees because I was so angry...But I just love this. I mean I don’t know if it’s like a hormonal thing for me and if it balanced it out or something, but this has worked great in my experience."

For Birth Control "I’m 18, and after signing up for online contraception and looking into it, I was prescribed Isibloom. I started taking Isibloom on the first day of my cycle and not just a regular day. I noticed that my cycle was the same length, but it was lighter, and I experienced minimal cramps. I haven’t noticed any major side effects except my chest size going up a little bit and my emotions change like clockwork. Also, a tip: a lot of the women giving reviews are older. So if you are in a younger age group, like under 18 or 18-25, you may not experience the same side effects. The one thing I do recommend, though, is having a balanced diet because that can also cause some negative effects."

For Birth Control "My experience with Isibloom seems to be the opposite of everyone else. I was fine the first 3-4 months, but around month five, my mood swings began. I would be laughing one second, and the next, my boyfriend would say he wants to go get food, and I would cry because I didn’t want to get out of bed, or I was so happy he was thinking the same thing. Now we’re in about month 8, and I have diarrhea most days of the week. Three days of my week, I’m crying for nothing, or because I’m happy, but I can never tell my boyfriend why I’m upset because I simply don’t know. I’ve never felt this way, and it’s concerning to me why it happened to most women within the first month and stopped, but it’s happening to me in months 5-9, and it just keeps getting worse. I still am sexually active, and my sex drive is the same as it always has been. But I wonder what could help the mood swings stop...?"

For Birth Control "A lot of these reviews are bad, but of course, if you have a bad experience with something, you’re going to write about it, and contradicting that, with your good experiences, you will most likely not leave a review. This birth control pill is very tiny and easy to take, and I have been on Isibloom for a month through an online pill subscription, and I have very few side effects. My age is 18, and the only side effect I’ve really only experienced is tender breasts and slight breast size improvement (maybe a cup?). Although I’ve had mood swings and I’m very emotional, getting frustrated and annoyed very easily."

For Birth Control "The first three months of this pill were not that bad, although I did begin to experience abnormal anxiety (for me) and mood swings. I also began to experience some heart palpitations (which I had chalked up to the anxiety). I am in month 5 now, and I'm beyond done. This BC has made me more moody than I ever have been. I get angry and irritated and snap at things or people, and I am usually a very genial and happy person. This has made me feel like an entirely different person. I have experienced awful anxiety as well, like panic attacks waking me up at night. Also, extremely vivid dreaming that causes me to feel like I'm not sleeping, which I am sure has perpetuated my other symptoms. Everyone's body is different, but my experience has been terrible."

For Birth Control "I’m 35. I was prescribed Isibloom before beginning IVF. This is the first birth control that I ever had. My experience is just bad! On pill 3, I started having mood swings and what’s worse, I felt like having pressure in my throat (after 6 hours of taking the pill) - all that continued for like 10-12 hours. On day 4 of the pill, I went crazy - uncontrolled aggression, and started having difficulties breathing. Day 5 - I could not sleep, choked. On day 6 of the pill, I had a sleepless night with heart pain and pain in the back (in the area of the heart or lungs). Today, day 7 - I stopped the pill, I cried the whole morning and decided to stop taking the pill. Other side effects were weight loss (4 pounds in 6 days), no appetite, aggression, crying, insomnia, depression, being scared of everything around. It’s horrible for the first experience. But I thought I would let others know. Of course, we are all unique, and maybe what did not fit me will be good for others."

For Birth Control "So I used to be on Chateal, but after my insurance coverage ended, I started using The Pill Club. I have hormonal acne. When I did start birth control, my skin was GLOWING, I mean like YouTube skincare guru glowing. When I started Isibloom in Sep, it was okay, but I was getting HUGE zits. A month into using Isibloom and I started experiencing these huge acne build-ups. Literally cystic acne. They hurt so much and took 3+ weeks to go away. It was so painful. Not only that, but I was experiencing huge mood swings. 1-2 months in, and I was literally crying to work about absolutely nothing. I would also break down really easily over stressful things. This birth control also reduced my sex drive to zero. Stayed on this for 3 whole months and literally nothing improved, only got worse. Switched, and literally within a WEEK, I stopped experiencing mood swings and depression, sex drive came back, and my forehead no longer has huge mountains."

For Birth Control "I have been on Isibloom since 2010. I don’t have a period, so I have no cramps or bloating. There were no side effects such as mood swings or weight gain for me personally. This is the best birth control."

For Birth Control "This is the worst pill I’ve ever been on. I took it for 11 days, and on the 12th, I had forgotten to take it until it was well past 24 hours. That day made me realize just what this pill had done. The past week and a half is just a haze of unimaginable mood swings (I’m usually laid-back and calm, I cried at least twice daily and even once got so crazy I screamed at my husband). I was sick to my stomach every night and threw up on three of the days. I had some kind of headache, whether small or almost migraine, daily. I couldn’t keep my contacts in all day because my eyes felt dry and irritated. That night (after forgetting my pill that morning), my husband mentioned I may be getting used to the pill and its side effects, as I was my usual self. So I haven’t taken another. I have an appointment with my doctor to figure out something different, I do not recommend this pill for anyone."

For Birth Control "I just started Isibloom almost a month ago. This is my first birth control, and it hasn't been bad for me, really. Other than that, I've been super emotional and tired more frequently. My sex drive has increased since starting it. The only thing I haven't liked so far is that my emotions now live on my sleeve. I haven't had my period yet since I started Isibloom... I would definitely recommend it as a first-time birth control."

For Birth Control "I'm 32 and started Isibloom in April. The first two weeks were awful. I had what I felt like were migraines. I wanted to give it a month, though. I began to experience major mood swings by week 4. I am normally a laid-back individual, and this made me feel crazy. But the real kicker happened in the 5th week of me being on this. I developed a blood clot in my leg. I thought it was just a pulled muscle. By the time I realized it wasn't because my calf swelled up 5 inches bigger than my other calf and my foot went numb, I had to be taken to the ER. They ordered me to stop taking the birth control and started me on a high dose of blood thinners. I just want to warn other women that the blood clots can happen! I'm sure all the other side effects can too. I should have stopped taking it when I developed the migraines in two weeks. I've never had this many problems with a birth control! Now I can't take oral birth control because I'm high risk for developing more clots."

For Birth Control "I have tried multiple forms of birth control, including the Kyleena IUD. I have awful cramps that make me cry and insane mood swings off and on different birth controls. I got prescribed this pill, and it has changed my life. I no longer have depression during different parts of my cycle, and the painful periods are gone! When I started, I did have some mild stomach upset after, but after an hour, it always goes away. If birth control others rave about doesn't work for you, I highly recommend trying this one."

For Birth Control "Isibloom is a decent birth control. The first month of taking it, I had nausea, tender breasts, mood swings, and low libido. Those were completely gone after the first pack. It keeps me regular, having short and light periods is wonderful compared to the time with no birth control. I’d bleed for 12-14 days straight, and the flow was very heavy. So Isibloom birth control works great for me, and I hope it will work well for you as well. Definitely recommend it!"

For Birth Control "When I started this birth control, I had really intense mood swings. I even started struggling at work with handling my emotions, and as a reasonably tempered person, I was scared. Within the first couple of weeks, I called the National Suicide Hotline for the first time ever. I’ve had a major drop in weight because of loss in appetite. The mood swings subsided within the first three weeks or so. This birth control also caused a yeast infection that could not be cured by over-the-counter Monistat. I had to go see my doctor. So, I have yet to even 'put it to use,' as it has been a month and a half of incredibly painful, unbearable even, intercourse. I would only recommend this birth control if this is the only option available for you or if your only concern is gaining weight."

For Birth Control "I’m getting married in May, so I got on birth control to prevent pregnancy in the future and to regulate my period. The first week, my breasts were extremely tender, and I had a snobby attitude, but I was also in a musical at our local theatre, so that could’ve caused mood changes. My mood seems normal now, my acne has cleared up, my breasts have stopped hurting, so now I’m just waiting on my period to start. According to my Flo app, I’m supposed to start my period this week. I haven’t had any problems with Isibloom yet! Praises so far!"

For Birth Control "I have been on multiple kinds of birth control and switched to this one because the hormones in all of them affected my mood intensely. This one is one of the worst when it comes to mood swings and cravings. I cry at the drop of a hat and have intense emotional breakdowns constantly for literally no reason and go down the overthinking/anxiety birth control side effects rabbit hole of sadness. I highly do NOT recommend this kind. I chose this kind because it had fewer hormones, and my doctor said it would be better for me in the side effects department. I haven't even gotten a full pack in, and within the first week, felt intense side effects. Don't take this if you have ever experienced depression or anxiety."

For Birth Control "I’ve only been on Isibloom for 8 days. I’m taking it for acne more than I am for actual birth control. The reason why I’m writing this is because in just a few days my mood swings have been INSANE. I have gotten this random anxiety that feels very intense and scary. I normally do not get anxiety or mood swings like this at all, but I get these sudden rushes of rage and depression causing me to sob uncontrollably and act hysterical. I’m scared of how this may affect my life if I continue, because it’s causing me to feel depressed after each moody episode. I’ll continue taking it until the end of the month because I desperately want to clear my acne, but if it’s not 100% clear skin by then I will definitely switch brands."

For Birth Control "I am 19 and am on my 3rd week of Isibloom. So far, I haven’t gotten any crazy bad side effects. I honestly feel like it has balanced my emotions, but there have been about 2 days that I was more emotional than normal. I haven’t gained weight or been extremely emotional or anything. Towards the evening, I am really tired, which wasn’t always the case before I started the pill. I really like this one, and I would recommend it."

For Birth Control "(Not as bad as the reviews might lead you to believe. Usually, people who have bad experiences are, of course, going to post about it. Not to undermine any experience that anyone has on this BC.) Let me tell you, though. I’ve tried six different kinds of birth controls (from Nuvaring to other pills). All of them gave me the WORST mood swings. It was not healthy, and I had to get off all of them. With Isibloom, I think I finally found one that works for me. I still get mild mood swings, but I just have to remind myself I’m adjusting to the new medication. Other than that, there have literally been no other side effects. I have bad acne in general, and I’m hoping soon it’ll clear up too! Ladies, good luck finding the birth control for you! Everything is going to be different for everyone. So try until you find yours. -Xoxo"

For Birth Control "So I've been on this birth control for 7 months now. It has been awful. I have had nonstop nausea, vomiting, extreme bloating, and mood swings that are horrible. I have also had severe depression and feel constantly sick. Went to the doctor finally. These pills have literally sucked the life out of me. Everyone is different, but I am going to stop taking these, they are horrible for your body. It does its job of preventing pregnancy, but the overall side effects are horrendous."

For Birth Control "So I have been on birth control since I was 18. I am now 26. I was on only prescription birth control pills for 7 years. When my last prescription ran out and my family doctor had a 3-month wait, I decided to use the Pill Club, they prescribed me Isibloom. I took it for 1 month and 2 weeks. Let me tell you, if you haven’t already started your pack, DO NOT TAKE THE PILLS. My experience on the 2nd week of taking them was awful. For the 1st month, I was nauseous for weeks! I couldn’t get myself out of bed because it made me so depressed. I only dragged myself out of bed when I had to go to work, and on my days off, I was in bed just restless and so emotional. When I was at work, I had moments I would just cry over the littlest things, and when I was at home with my bf, I would act so bipolar and argue over anything and everything! So now I stopped taking the pills for 3 days, and I am back to feeling normal. DO NOT TAKE THIS BRAND. DO NOT ORDER THEM ONLINE."

For Birth Control "I have crazy PMS. I mean crazy. I cry a lot, I'm nauseous (I even vomit some months), get heat flashes, acne, horrible cramps, mood swings, etc. This is why I was not afraid of any birth control side effects because I live with these bad problems regardless. I took birth control (through the pill club and was prescribed this) because of my symptoms and because I've been sexually active for a few months now. I took it a week before my period, and those symptoms seem to have been minimized so far. I have a very high sex drive, however, the pill makes it a little harder to get turned on. I've had okay sex so far and also very great sex (my advice is to use a good amount of lube. It fixes the problem). I've only been on it a week, but so far so good. I will, however, be back to post a review in a few months to see if my symptoms have changed. So far so good, though. (: All bodies are different, but if you're anything like me, I would consider trying this pill."

For Birth Control "I switched to Isibloom (ethinyl estradiol 0.03 mg, desogestrel 0.15 mg) when I ran out of the birth control I got abroad that was called Marvelon. Marvelon was amazing, but they don't sell it here. My gynecologist said Isibloom is the generic of Marvelon, though she was hesitant to prescribe it because it came with an unusually high risk of blood clots. I've had a very negative experience with most types of birth control (NuvaRing, Yaz, IUD). While the Isibloom one isn't the worst, I still have severe mood swings, lots of gross cystic acne (which I never had), and am exhausted all of the time. My breasts also fluctuate about one cup size each month. Symptoms seem to get particularly bad during the last week of taking it. I heard it's supposed to ease up after three cycles, but I'm close to the end of my third cycle, and if anything, it's just more intense. Now, I'm always angry and covered in zits. I'm 29. I definitely wouldn't recommend it, but I also don't think they make an alternative in the US that isn't a nightmare. I'm giving it one more month."

For Birth Control "I am now on my second pack of Isibloom. The first week, I did have quite a bit of mood swings, but the main side effect I had was with my stomach. I’ve been having strange bowel movements, where I'm bloated quite a lot with no bowel movement, being constipated for a few days, then going back to normal, then back to no movement. I’ve been on a loop for a month now, but it’s slowly not being as bad as it was before. If it does continue, I will be switching my birth control brand. Besides that, it does do the job, I’m not pregnant!"
