Dapagliflozin for Type 2 Diabetes "After only 5 weeks of 5 mg of Farxiga, I had very swollen legs, tops of feet, and ankles. The tops of feet and legs are also covered in an itchy, sore rash. I phoned my doctor, who told me to continue taking this drug! Then I started having very painful urination and a strange feeling when peeing. I was beginning to feel dizzy and had constant headaches with tingling in my legs, stomach pains, and joint pains all over, so I stopped this terrible drug. I stopped Farxiga over 3 weeks ago and am still suffering the side effects, and the yeast and urine infection are still ongoing. Scared I will never feel right again."

Dapagliflozin for Heart Failure with Reduced Ejection Fraction "My doctor thought I would benefit from this. He is very skilled, but he was wrong about Farxiga. The only bad reviews I have for it are feeling lightheaded and dizzy. I was taking 10 mg, then I started taking just a half of a tablet and still feel woozy. It just feels really weird, like you are floating in the air. Not a good med for me. Entresto and bisoprolol are the best two meds for heart failure, along with anticoagulant Brilinta and aspirin."

Dapagliflozin for Type 2 Diabetes "Took this Farxiga for two weeks, hated it, was extremely exhausted and couldn't stop drinking water. I drank 32 oz of water every night, so I was in the bathroom most of the night. So tired I didn't want to move, I got dizzy and felt awful. Would never take again."

Dapagliflozin for Type 2 Diabetes "After 1 1/2 weeks of taking Farxiga, I went into severe dehydration that included dizziness, being lightheaded, not being able to stand for more than a minute without feeling like I was going to faint, extreme shortness of breath, chest pain, pain in my lower back and sides, excessive thirst, and dry mouth. Luckily, my daughter has had medical training and recognized that I had severe dehydration. I had to begin immediate fluid replenishing as well as salt replacement. Farxiga is the only thing that had been changed about my regular schedule, and upon looking at the maker's website, we found that dehydration, kidney problems, increased bad cholesterol levels, and UTIs are just some of the regular side effects that go along with taking this."

Dapagliflozin for Heart Failure "Farxiga has been a godsend for me. I developed CHF with an ejection fraction of 30% after a heart attack. My doctor had tried me on Entresto first, but it caused extreme dizziness/fatigue. We decided to try Farxiga, and it has made a huge difference for me. I'm able to carry groceries again and can sing without fighting for breath, among many little things I can do again, all thanks to Farxiga."

Dapagliflozin for Type 2 Diabetes "I've been taking Farxiga 10 mg for over two years. Despite dealing with occasional yeast infections in the groin area and dizziness, I've recently noticed a significant decline in the firmness of my erections. Given that my blood sugar levels are typically between 99 and 122 before meals, I’ve decided to stop taking this medication. It no longer seems worth the side effects."

Dapagliflozin for Type 2 Diabetes "Started taking Farxiga while still taking metformin (3 X 800 daily). Tried to wean off metformin and simply take Farxiga. Bad decision. Farxiga gave me dry mouth, made me thirsty, had negligible effect on my glucose levels and A1C. Started to experience dizziness and then fainting while on Farxiga. After a month, I went back to metformin. Feel 1,000 percent better without being dizzy all of the time. Not worth the expense for a drug that doesn't work."

Dapagliflozin for Type 2 Diabetes "Taking with Victoza, my blood pressure dropped through the floor, sometimes as low as 90/60. Caused dizziness and heart palpitations. Sex is not an option. Urine stunk pretty bad. Dr. has since ordered me off. Going to start another drug or drugs. Feel like a guinea pig."

Dapagliflozin for Type 2 Diabetes "Been on Farxiga since October 2014. Has worked for me. When I eat right, my numbers are in the fives, and when I don't eat right, they are in the sixes. Only noticeable side effect is dizziness when raising up after bending down if I'm not purposely coming up slowly."

Dapagliflozin for Type 2 Diabetes "Two weeks into taking Farxiga, this morning I had an attack like I've never felt before. First came the dizziness where I was nearly incapacitated. I made it to a seat, but then barfing started, dry heaved everything out. Then the hot flash started, sweat dripping down my cheeks and forehead. Then diarrhea started while the sweat continued to drip. It subsided after a good 15 minutes of terror, but now there is 'something' in my gut that hurts and has moved all the way from the right side of my rib cage and now, three hours later, has made it to the left side of my ribs. I'm not taking that next pill. Farxiga DID lower my blood sugar, I was getting numbers like 114-131 depending on what I ate, so that part was good...but that attack this morning at 6 a.m., just after waking up, I'm not going through that again."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I took my first pill at 8 am Sunday, and within two hours, I started feeling extremely cold from inside to outside. My hands were ice cold, and I felt really quite unwell. I started eating sweet stuff to bring up sugar levels, and then I felt nausea, then dizziness, and started getting stomach cramps and pain in my joints, and the need to constantly urinate. This went on for hours, and then I started feeling so tired that I could barely keep myself awake, so I went to bed hoping to feel better the next day. I didn't feel like myself at all the next day or for a few days, actually, still so tired, I couldn't keep myself awake. My whole body was aching, didn't feel as cold but still felt chilled and nauseous and not myself... I NEVER in a million years would've believed that taking just ONE pill could've affected me so badly."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Have been on 10 mg Forxiga for 10 months, have had extreme thirst, constant urination, headaches, dizziness, and an inability to concentrate, and yeast infections constantly, but have lost 15 kg. I halved my dosage to 5 mg one month ago and feel heaps better in all aspects and am increasing exercise to keep weight off. I want to stop Forxiga altogether as my biggest fear is this weird inability to concentrate, as I require good mental clarity and long periods of concentration in my job. Has anyone else found it affects their ability to concentrate? I find it really scary and may have to stop it for this reason alone."

For Type 2 Diabetes "An experimental on the part of my doctor. Gave me samples to try Farxiga for 10 days. Let me tell you the good thing first: it lowers my sugar level. Bad things that happened to me: dizziness, dehydrated, UTI (I was so shocked to have this) and I'm so grumpy after taking Farxiga. Just now, the main doctor called me and told me about the urine test, and he said it was very high in infection and that antibiotics were ordered at the pharmacy for me to pick up. Told me to stop taking Farxiga and just continue with Metformin. So Metformin it is and my supplement to control sugar level. I have not taken antibiotics for really long years, and now with this Farxiga... the cons."

Dapagliflozin for Type 2 Diabetes "Started it and within the first week it caused severe dehydration and diarrhea (at least 6-10 times daily). Couldn't keep solid food and made me feel dizzy, disoriented. Had to go to the emergency room because of this. I don't think doctors or the drug companies are giving their patients enough warning about how dangerous this could be."
