For Cough "Had a cough so bad it was hurting my back and gave me terrible headaches. Was first prescribed another product, which did little. Have been taking this new prescription for a couple of days now (only need 1 tsp every 12 hrs)...amazing. Finally feeling like I'm getting better. Cough is much less, not nearly as tired as I was (was sleeping 16-20 hr days), been awake most of today. Thank you so much!"

Chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone for Cough "Cleared my cough and allowed me to rest. This liquid must be taken exactly as prescribed. I experienced a slight feeling of lethargy the next day. Given that as a side effect, I would take this again for any of my severe coughing spells."

Chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone for Cough "This stuff is great. I have had a chronic cough for over a year following an esophagectomy. This is the first medication that actually works for more than a couple of hours. I can actually make it through the night without having coughing episodes. As a side benefit, it tastes pretty good."

Chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone for Cough "There's no generic for this medication, and it is quite expensive, but definitely worth the money. My husband had a post-nasal drip cough that just wouldn't go away, and it kept both of us up at night. He took a teaspoon of this, and we both slept through the night, he didn't cough once. Felt great in the morning too, no drowsiness. Great stuff."

Chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone for Cold Symptoms "I don't have the luxury of having a sick day most of the time, and I asked the doctor to give me something to treat the symptoms so I would not be so miserable. Coughing, runny nose, headache, etc. This really worked well for me. Furthermore, I was able to sleep through the night and not keep my wife awake. For your information, I have never had any troubles with drugs and side effects (not like I take much anyway). Bottom line, if it works for you like it works for me, you will be able to perform normally and better than you could have otherwise and sleep well."

Chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone for Cough "I have mild asthma and allergies. My Azmacort inhaler is not enough at times, and the Tussionex gives me complete relief from the nagging cough that I find so exasperating! I only use it once a day (and not every day) during allergy season. It's made my life much more comfortable during allergy season. Absolutely no side effects when taken once a day as I do. Worth every penny."

Chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone for Cough "I was prescribed this medicine in the ER when I was diagnosed with bronchitis. The very first thing the doctor said with this medication is do not drive. I totally agree, the medicine is wonderful, it pretty much got rid of the cough and helped clear up my head congestion. I would have to say that the worst side effect is that it makes you feel very drowsy and sleepy, like you are under the influence of alcohol."

Chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone for Cough "As stated, Tussionex is expensive. With that said, you get what you pay for. I had a cough that kept me up for 3 days. I went to my doctor, and he prescribed Tussionex for me. I had 1 teaspoon before bed and woke up 8 1/2 hours later. My cough did not wake me up once during the night."

Chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone for Cough "Immediately relieved coughing and respiratory problems. I had a bad flu with severe coughing that lasted for 2 weeks. Every OTC medicine would not stop my dry cough. My doctor prescribed TussiCaps, and after taking one capsule, the coughing stopped. I did experience drowsiness, so do not take this medicine if you need to drive or operate heavy machinery. Dosage is easy since it is just a capsule (no more measuring cups or overdoses). This medicine is fantastic!"

Chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone for Cough "For cough spasms, this is as close to a miracle drug as you can find. You can get a slight buzz and sometimes insomnia while taking it, but it beats an uncontrollable dry hacking cough all night. So at the very least, it offers a relaxing night in bed, even though you may not get into a deep sleep. Sometimes I take an Ambien so I can sleep."

Chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone for Cough "I have a problem with recurring bronchitis because of asthma. When this happens, I cough a lot. The Tussionex is a lifesaver for me. It stops the cough that nothing else has ever stopped. It makes me sleepy, but the cough is paralyzing, so it's well worth it. The price makes me very thankful for my health insurance."

Chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone for Cough "I have extremely bad coughing spells at night. So my doctor prescribed codeine cough syrup, which surprisingly did not help because it is a pretty strong cough medicine. So instead, he prescribed Tussionex for me. The medicine worked great! The only thing I don't like is it made me sleep all day long, and the next day I could still feel it in my system, but I know I could have probably slept for 2 days straight off of the small dose he prescribed. He told me to do 'Take 1 teaspoonful 2 times a day.' I only did one, and it made me feel very tired. But it does a great job with suppressing the cough."

Chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone for Cold Symptoms "CAREFUL! Warning that you can become drowsy the next day after using this product. Falling asleep at work, or while driving, because the narcotic is too much. If you're able to be passive with just a glass of wine, think seriously before taking the full teaspoon. Talk to your doctor if you feel unusually tired because of the Tussionex."

Chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone for Cough "I went to the doctor a week ago, and I was told that I had an upper respiratory infection (3rd one this year), so she gave me the usual antibiotic, Phenergan with codeine cough medicine, and an antihistamine/decongestion medicine. After a week of taking this, still not feeling better. So I went back, and she gave me a different antibiotic and the Tussionex cough medicine. The cough medicine has allowed me to sleep most of the night, but when I take it, I am completely knocked out and loopy. Still cough periodically, but nothing like I was without it. Even with insurance, this medicine was $50 for 4 ounces, but it's worth it! I've taken it before, and it really helps. Just waiting for the other medicines to do their jobs!"

Chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone for Cough "I get severe bronchitis at least once a year with vomiting and sleepless nights. I've tried Robitussin with codeine, but it didn't help at all. Two years ago, my doctor finally prescribed Tussionex, and it works so well. I have bronchitis now and came back from a miserable trip without this medicine. I've taken it tonight and already feel so much better. I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs a cough medicine at night to help them sleep."

Chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone for Cold Symptoms "Was given this medicine for upper respiratory tract infection. It helps the cough but makes you feel really out of it. With this prescription, I have had headaches. I'm on the 12-hour/1 tsp dosage. I would recommend this drug before you go to bed."

Chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone for Cough "Seven (7) years ago, my system betrayed me, and I became allergic to everything you can be tested for except ducks and fungus - everything. I went through my PCP to every allergy and immunology specialist in a forty-mile radius and then moved down to the super-specialists in the Boston medical community. For two years - nothing alleviated the primary symptom - coughing - violent, explosive coughing every forty-five minutes to an hour. This is where you will begin to disbelieve me probably, but the weekend of Good Friday, 2004, my ENT prescribed Tussionex-P, and for the first time, I was able to sleep, breathe, and behave normally. I do cease use every twenty-eight days, withdrawal is a little like 'coffee jags,' but you must use care with this medicine."

Chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone for Cough "Just started taking this medicine. Had the flu, and at the end of the 5-day flu, started a head cold. Couldn't sleep for a few nights due to cough. Only woke up 3 times tonight (once to pee and twice due to coughing). Just took my second dose and will go back to sleep. Was prescribed codeine, with no help at all. Was told this is called liquid gold - they weren't kidding. Very grateful my pharmacist mentioned this to me, then I told my doctor."

Chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone for Cough "For some period of time, I had a bad cough and was diagnosed with chronic bronchitis and prescribed Tussionex - unfortunately, there was a very large tumor discovered in my right lung. I did undergo a painful surgery only to find out the condition was inoperable - I went through chemo and radiation to no avail. I, however, continued to take Tussionex to cut down on coughing, which was painful. Now one cannot get the liquid which worked for me - I only had to take it once a day, usually in the morning. I recommend it highly."

Chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone for Cough "I have suffered from chronic lung infections and bronchitis for a number of years. I have tried multiple medications in the past and nothing has worked. My doctor prescribed Tussionex Pennkinetic, and it is fantastic. I would rate this medication a 12 out of 10 if I could. Be sure to hydrate well while taking this medication. The drowsiness that I experience helps me sleep, and I am cough-free all night long. The 12-hour window of effectiveness makes this the best treatment for a chronic cough."

Chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone "I have taken this medicine for three years. I have chronic bronchitis, COPD, and asthma. I was coughing all the time, especially at night, and couldn't sleep. I tried sleeping pills and a variety of cough medicines, none of which worked. When given this, my cough immediately went away and stayed away for up to twelve hours, often longer."

Chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone for Cough "I have had a persistent cough now for two weeks that wakes me up 8 times at night. This is the second time that I have had this cough medicine prescribed to me. It is by far the best cough medicine that I have ever taken."

Chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone for Cough "I had incessant coughing due to post-nasal drip, which none of the OTC meds made a dent in. Saw my ENT doc who did endoscopy and, not surprisingly, found heavy sinus and throat mucus. He prescribed Tussionex-P and Prednisone. The Tussionex knocked the cough right out, enabling me to sleep and recover my voice. It is annoying that it's so hard to find; the first four pharmacies I went to didn't carry it. For me, it's a wonder drug. It succeeded where all the others failed, and I haven't had any side effects. If I could, I would give it a rating of 11."

For Cough "This is the best stuff on the market. I had a huge wedding to shoot last weekend, and I don't think I could have done it without this. Yes, it might make you feel a little drowsy, but the benefits of being able to shoot a wedding without causing a distraction throughout the day were well worth the drowsy feeling. I would recommend this to anyone with a bad cough."

Chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone for Cough "Just got some of this at immediate care. Thank you, thank you!!!! I have bronchitis and have been coughing for 3 weeks. It is ridiculous that Drs don't want to give it because a minority of people will abuse it, and that has tied their hands. Give me a break!!!! I took this, and 5 minutes later, coughed up some terrible-looking infected mucus. I'm not coughing, relaxed, and finally will be able to sleep. Good luck getting it, though, especially from your regular Dr. They will try everything else before giving you something that works. Not to mention appt after appt..... Mo money, Mo money. Go straight to immediate care, pay the extra, or hope your deductible is paid. Also, for everyone saying it doesn't work, make sure you are shaking it up well."
