Tussionex Pennkinetic (chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone) for Cough "This medication was great to reduce coughing and to sleep well at night after a few sleepless nights before the med. But I developed very bad constipation after a few nights (I took it only once a day, before bedtime) which was so bad that I would never use this medication again."

Tussionex Pennkinetic (chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone) for Cough "This stuff is amazing when you are really sick. A severe cough was making my head and neck hurt so bad. After about 20 minutes of taking Tussionex, my cough was much improved, and my neck/headache almost non-existent. I was prescribed this after Codeine wasn't helping at all. Will definitely take it again if needed."

For Cough "This medication rocks. For the past years I have been in and out of allergy doctors, urgent cares and so on. Once again got the cough and snots going. I have been given just about everything you can imagine. Today I was given this medication and BOOM within an hour or so those rapid fire coughs that happened over seconds went away. My coughing would usually last over 1 to 2 months on other meds. Sinuses feel really clear and once again the old soldier is saluting again. "

Tussionex Pennkinetic (chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone) for Cough "Cleared my cough and allowed me to rest. This liquid must be taken exactly as prescribed. I experienced a slight feeling of lethargy the next day. Given that as the side effect, I would take this again for any of my severe coughing spells."

Tussionex Pennkinetic (chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone) for Cough "I have mild asthma and allergies. My Azmacort inhaler is not enough at times, and the Tussionix gives me complete relief from the nagging cough that I find so exasperating! I only use it once a day (and not every day) during allergy season. It's made my life much more comfortable during allergy season. Absolutely no side effects when taken once a day as I do. Worth every penny."

Tussionex Pennkinetic (chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone) for Cough "I've read everyone's posts and am so jealous! I've been coughing for 5 days now, and haven't had a decent night's sleep for the last 6 nights! Dr. prescribed this medicine 3 days ago, took it, and nothing. Seriously, nothing! Felt a little relief 10 hours later, but nothing like what everyone else here has experienced. I'm still coughing and miserable and am going to give it another try tonight."

Tussionex Pennkinetic (chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone) for Cold Symptoms "Tussionex(R) Pennkinetic is a very good medication for cold and cough conditions accompanied with aches etc. The active ingredients (hydrocodone 10mg/chlorpheniramine 8mg) last a long time for long-lasting relief. I would recommend Tussionex(R) Pennkinetic 12-Hour Suspension OVER ANY OTHER COUGH PREPARATION. COUGH RELIEVED. REST ASSURED. Not to mention the hydrocodone is good for aches and pains."

Tussionex Pennkinetic (chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone) for Cough "This stuff is great. I have had a chronic cough for over a year following an esophagectomy. This is the first medication that actually works for more then a couple of hours. I can actually make it through the night without having coughing episodes. As a side benefit, it tastes pretty good."

Tussionex Pennkinetic (chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone) for Cold Symptoms "I don't have the luxury of having a sick day most of the time and I asked the doctor to give me something to treat the symptoms so I would not be so miserable. Coughing, runny nose, headache etc. This really worked well for me. Furthermore, I was able to sleep through the night and not keep my wife awake. For your information I have never had any troubles with drugs and side effects (not like I take much anyway). Bottom line, if it works for you like it works for me you will be able to perform normally and better than you could have otherwise and sleep well. "

Tussionex Pennkinetic (chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone) for Cough "I was prescribed this medicine in the ER when I was diagnosed with Bronchitis. The very first thing the doctor said with this medication is do not drive. I totally agree, the medicine is wonderful it pretty much got rid of the cough, and helped clear up my head congestion. I would have to say that the worst side effect is that it makes you feel very drowsy and sleepy, like you are under the influence of alcohol."

Tussionex Pennkinetic (chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone) for Cough "For cough spasms this is as close as a miracle drug as you can find. You can get a slight buzz and sometimes insomnia while taking it, but it beats an uncontrollable dry hacking cough all night. So at the very least it offers a relaxing night in bed even though you may not get into a deep sleep. Sometimes I take an ambien so I can sleep."

Tussionex Pennkinetic (chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone) for Cough "There's no generic for this medication and it is quite expensive, but definitely worth the money. My husband had a post-nasal drip cough that just wouldn't go away, and it kept both of us up at night. He took a teaspoon of this and we both slept through the night, he didn't cough once. Felt great in the morning too, no drowsiness. Great stuff."

Tussionex Pennkinetic (chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone) for Cough "As stated Tussionex is expensive. With that said you get what you pay for. I had a cough that kept me up for 3 days. I went to my doctor and he prescribed Tussionex for me. I had 1 teaspoon before bed and woke up 8 1/2 hours later. My cough did not wake me up once during the night. "

Tussionex Pennkinetic (chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone) for Cold Symptoms "CAREFUL! Warning that you can become drowsy the next day after using this product. Falling asleep at work, or while driving because the narcotic is too much. If you're able to be passive with just a glass of wine, think seriously before taking the full teaspoon. Talk to your doctor if you feel unusually tired because of the Tussionex."

Tussionex Pennkinetic (chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone) for Cough "For some period of time I had a bad cough and diagnosed with chronic bronchitis and prescribed Tussionex - unfortunately there was a very large tumor discovered in my right lung. I did undergo a painful surgery only to find out the condition was inoperable - I went through chemo and radiation to no avail. I, however, continued to take Tussionex to cut down on coughing which was painful. Now one cannot get the liquid which worked for me - I only had to take it once a day, usually in the morning. I recommend it highly."

Tussionex Pennkinetic (chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone) for Cough "I have suffered from chronic lung infections and bronchitis for a number of years. I have tried multiple medications in the past and nothing has worked. My doctor prescribed Tussionex Pennkinetic and it is fantastic. I would rate this medication a 12 out of 10 if I could. Be sure to hydrate well while taking this medication. The drowsiness that I experience helps me sleep and I am cough-free, all night long. The 12-hour window of effectiveness makes this the best treatment for a chronic cough."

Tussionex Pennkinetic (chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone) for Cough "I have a problem with recurring bronchitis because of asthma. When this happens I cough a lot. The Tussionex is a life saver for me. It stops the cough that nothing else has ever stopped. It makes me sleepy, but the cough is paralyzing so it's well worth it. The price makes me very thankful for my health insurance."

Tussionex Pennkinetic (chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone) for Cough "I get severe bronchitis at least once a year with vomiting and sleepless nights. I've tried Robitussin with Codeine, but it didn't help at all. Two years ago, my doctor finally prescribed Tussionex, and it works so well. I have bronchitis now, and came back from a miserable trip without this medicine. I've taken it tonight, and already feel so much better. I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs a cough medicine at night to help them sleep."

Tussionex Pennkinetic (chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone) for Cough "I went to the doctor a week ago and I was told that I had upper respiratory infection (3rd one this year) so she gave me the usual antibiotic, phenergan with codeine cough medicine, and a antihistamine/decongestion medicine. After a week of taking this still not feeling better. So I went back and she gave me a different antibiotic and the Tussionex cough medicine. The cough medicine has allowed me to sleep most of the night but when I take it I am completely knocked out and loopy. Still cough periodically but nothing like I was without it. Even with insurance this medicine was $50 for 4 ounces but it's worth it! I've taken it before and really helps. Just waiting for the other medicines to do their jobs!"

Tussionex Pennkinetic (chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone) for Cough "Just started taking this medicine. Had the flu and at then end of the 5 day flu, started a head cold. Couldn't sleep for a few nights due to cough. Only woke up 3 times tonight (once to pee and twice due to coughing). Just took my second dose and will go back to sleep. Was prescribed codeine, with no help at all. Was told this is called liquid gold- they weren't kidding. Very grateful my pharmacist mentioned this to me then I told my Doctor."

Tussionex Pennkinetic (chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone) for Cough "I had incessant coughing due to post nasal drip which none of the OTC meds made a dent in. Saw my ENT doc who did endoscopy and not surprisingly found heavy sinus & throat mucus. He prescribed Tussionex-P and Prednisone. The Tussionex knocked the cough right out enabling me to sleep and recover my voice. It is annoying that it's so hard to find; the first four pharmacies I went to didn't carry it. For me, it's a wonder drug. It succeeded where all the others failed, and I haven't had any side effects. If I could I would give it a rating of 11."

Tussionex Pennkinetic (chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone) for Cough "I have extremely bad coughing spells at night. So my doctor prescribed Codeine cough syrup which surprisingly did not help because it is a pretty strong cough medicine. So instead he prescribed Tussionex for me. The medicine worked great! The only thing I don't like is it made me sleep all day long and the next day I could still feel it in my system but I know I could have probably slept for 2 days straight off of the small dose he prescribed. He told me to do "Take 1 teaspoonful 2 times a day" I only did one and it made me feel very tired. But it does A GREAT job with suppressing the cough."

Tussionex Pennkinetic (chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone) "I have taken this medicine for three years. I have chronic bronchitis, COPD, and asthma. I was coughing all the time, especially at night and couldn't sleep. I tried sleeping pills and a variety of cough medicines, none of which worked. When given this, my cough immediately went away and stayed away for up to twelve hours, often longer. "
