Chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone for Cough "Tussionex is awesome for that cough you get at night, where you get a tickle in your throat and just have to cough and can't stop. For me, it makes me feel loopy, though, even 12 hours later I will be lightheaded, so I usually don't use it unless Cepacol or something doesn't work. It's rare I use it more than once a year, and even then I only use half the dose. It really works, but it's powerful."

For Cough "The only medicine I have ever taken that truly stops a post-nasal drip in its tracks and in turn stops your cough. This is a godsend and allows you to actually sleep when you are sick. However, it has made me a little lightheaded (for lack of a better word, kind of just a weird 'off' feeling), so I try to only take it at night. I wouldn't drive after taking it."

Chlorpheniramine / hydrocodone for Cough "This cough syrup really works great on quieting my wicked cough (bronchitis)... however, I am one of the few who has a terrible time sleeping when I take it. It also makes me woozy - the equivalent of drinking two glasses of wine. That said, I try to take it at least 6-8 hours before bedtime. The good effects (cough suppressant) are still working, and I get a good night's sleep. I cannot drive while taking it. Stay safe!"
