For Skin and Structure Infection "Eight weeks later, after taking this drug, I'm still recovering from side effects. It caused chills, fever, swollen lymph glands, bloated stomach, and gas. All symptoms have gone away except bloated stomach and gas. I've never had any stomach issues in my life, and now it's non-stop discomfort. I wouldn't recommend anyone to take this medication."

For Bacterial Infection "Given for bacterial infection, this medication did nothing but cause side effects. Fever, chills, no appetite, weakness. Put this to the infection. Finished the prescribed amount and noticed red blotches on my skin and peeling. I think I'm allergic to this product. Never again. Still feeling effects. It's only been one day since completion."

For Bronchitis "Was prescribed this with prednisolone for bronchitis while on a work trip. Worst experience ever. After three days, continued with a fever, chills, nonproductive cough, and an increasing tightness in my chest. Turns out, the prednisolone was masking an allergic reaction to this drug, though I had never had any prior reaction. Within 10 hours of the final dose of prednisolone, full-blown anaphylaxis set in, along with an obvious trip to the ER, and wound up contracting pneumonia from all the fluid buildup from the reaction. Now I'm left with steroid and rescue inhalers, a different antibiotic, a prescription antihistamine until this stuff is fully out of my system, and a set of epipens to carry around if this ever happens again."

For Urinary Tract Infection "Prescribed cefuroxime for MRSA UTI infection for 7 days. Did not help to remove pain from the very first day. I developed green discharge from my sinuses, 37°C fever, disorientation, nausea. Did not help at all."

For Bacterial Infection "On day 7 of taking cefuroxime, a 10-day course for bacterial upper respiratory infection. Taking it along with Mucus DM Extended Release and Flonase. Fever stopped immediately on day one, but everything else got way worse. Insanely sore throat and unstoppable mucus production make it impossible to drink or eat. It is a nightmare swallowing the pills down. I don't want to finish out, but I will per doctor's orders, but what a waste of precious time and valuable resources. Oh, and the fever's back on day 7."

For Urinary Tract Infection "1st took cefuroxime for 10 days and worked well, but 3-4 days later, symptoms returned (infection). After a week, was re-given this drug. First 2 days, had chills, feverish, swollen L hand (had cut on it) and developed chest pressure 2nd night. 3rd day, swelling in L hand diminished, but chills and feverish symptoms persist."
