Cabozantinib for Renal Cell Carcinoma "I have been on this drug Cabometyx for 12 months. It’s doing what it's supposed to do, but after 11 months, I started to max on toxicity. Tried to drop dosage down to 40 mg, but didn’t work well. Symptoms for me were severe body acne, including scalp, tiredness, and mouth ulcers. No problem with upset stomach, diarrhea, or weakness in joints. Tried some other inhibitors like Inlyta and IL-2, but side effects were too much, and results of the scan were not very positive."

For Renal Cell Carcinoma "My husband just started the 40 mg tablet 6 days ago, and he decided to go to 60 mg as per asking his doctor. They came by FedEx today, he will start them tonight. He has RCC. The tumor was huge, removed in 2020, and 1 month ago it had spread to his brain, they removed the tumor, and he had radiation 5 days ago on 9 spots on his brain. It was the Gamma Knife radiation. We haven’t had scans yet till next month to see how that went. He’s doing very well, some tiredness, but he’s actually mowing the lawn as I speak. We are hoping it shrinks the lymph nodes in his abdomen and keeps it from spreading. His appetite is still great. Update later."

Cabozantinib for Renal Cell Carcinoma "I’ve been on Cabometyx for three years now. I was diagnosed with Stage 3 renal cell carcinoma 6 years ago that had metastasized to the bone, lung, and adrenal gland. I have done exceptionally well on Cabometyx with only occasional side effects such as diarrhea, thinning hair, and tiredness. My tumors have not decreased in size, but more importantly they have not grown. I am grateful that I, thus far, have not experienced any pain and still have a wonderful appetite. All in all, I am thankful that six years after diagnosis, I am still here and still have quality of life. I am truly blessed."
