"I have been taking Auvelity for about a week. While the medication is working and my mood is better, the sexual side effects are not. I cannot find anywhere if the side effects diminish over time. The mood is great, energy is back, motivation and everything. The nausea is ok."

"I'm about 3 weeks in, and I've noticed a decrease in depression symptoms, particularly low energy levels and loss of motivation. Some minor side effects the first few days, but all is good now. Hoping to continue to see symptom improvement with this medication!"

"Auvelity gave me from day one relief from all anxiety and depression. It was like a light switch that turned off the depression and anxiety and turned on feeling normal. This drug is a game changer. I used the manufacturer coupon to help cover my Rx copay, my out-of-pocket cost is only $10/mo. I’m one week into treatment and tentatively sticking to one pill per day in the morning, but may increase it to two a day in the future. Zero side effects so far."

"This medication is amazing. I have MDD, GAD, and PTSD, and I have tried many different medications over the past 30 years. This is a wonder drug. It works very fast. It has helped my depression immensely, but it has equally helped my anxiety and my PTSD. I am not euphoric, but I am calm with a sense of well-being. My advice if you are just starting this medication is to give it a few weeks to get through any side effects because the benefits once you get through the first few weeks are incredible. This is a game-changing medication because like Ketamine, it works on Glutamate as opposed to SSRIs that work on Serotonin. This is a great medication."

"This antidepressant has caused severe dizzy spells for hours on end, even after having taken it for a week. It also has increased my anxiety and also seems to be making my tinnitus significantly louder. Not impressed."

"After the fourth day, I developed a violent cough. My doctor instructed me to stop taking the medication, but the frequent dry cough persisted for 2 months I was previously prescribed Wellbutrin 20 years ago, which at that time was the best drug for me and lasted for 13 years before it stopped working"

"I just started taking this medication a few days ago and woke up every morning with severe anxiety and my blood pressure skyrocketed. If you have been diagnosed with hypertension I wouldn’t recommend you take this. Wellbutrin alone had worked for me in the past as far as my energy levels and depredation but gave me bad anxiety and made me sweat more than usual which increased my body odor, so I stopped taking it. The only reason I started Avuelity was to help with my fatigue which seemed to help in the past, but I can’t deal with the anxiety it gives me in the mornings. Will have to stop. One of the major benefits is my sexual desire has improved. My doctor added this medication along with Viibryd which I was already on which has sexual dysfunction. Altogether I would give it a 6 out of 10. Would recommend it if you don’t have hypertension or anxiety."

"I have been on 5 different antidepressants (bupropion, Prozac, Zoloft, Lexapro, ketamine) and I can say that Auvelity is by far the best one so far. No sexual side effects, and my mood feels the best it has ever been in 5 years now since my depression started. Auvelity is even more effective than the ketamine infusions and much less of a hassle. Definitely recommend."

"Started Auvelity 9 days ago. I have major depressive disorder and my medications don't seem to be helping. I currently take 40mg of Lexapro, 150mg of Wellbutrin, 25mg of Seroquel, and 2 Auvelity tablets per day. I'm seeing some improvement as I have more motivation to do more things than what I previously had. I will update you all since this forum has been so helpful while I was researching. Thanks to all of you! I'm not there yet but will keep you all informed."

"I started Auvelity a few days ago. Some background information about me is that I’m on 450 mg of Wellbutrin and 40 mg of Lexapro. Unfortunately, the Wellbutrin or the Lexapro isn’t helping. I’ve been on Wellbutrin for 4 years and Lexapro for 3 years. My question is, have any of you been on Wellbutrin and switched to Auvelity? Doc switched me to one Wellbutrin per day, along with two Auvelity per day. If any of you have had the same experience with this same combination, I’d love to hear about it. I’m curious since Auvelity and Wellbutrin have bupropion in it. Thanks!"

"I suffer from medicine-resistant depression and PTSD and have been taking Auvelity in addition to other antidepressants for about 3-4 months. I initially felt better for the first month but then I regressed again. It was frustrating as I had just refilled Auvelity with a $100.00 co-pay. I believe that this medication could work for people without resistance, it just didn't work for me."

"I have had some success with Wellbutrin (Bupropion), but after a number of years, I seemed to have developed a tolerance. An increase in dosage caused me to have anxiety. I was hopeful Auvelity would help as it has similar properties. Sadly the smallest dose created overwhelming anxiety that felt like I had taken a high dose of Wellbutrin. Although one should not expect half a sustained release, I was hoping it would reduce the anxiety. Auvelity I felt gave me more energy and even curbed hunger which was a positive. Though sadly I still had severe anxiety, was jittery, and my heart was pounding. I couldn’t continue and went back to regular bupropion while searching for something else."

"I am starting my third week. I had nausea and headache up until today. Hopefully, they won't come back. I can't shake the suicidal thoughts, so not sure how the med is working. Hopefully, the thoughts will subside with time."
