For Supraventricular Tachycardia "Previously, I was on amiodarone for a decade. Last month, I underwent a 3D mapping ablation and was switched to bisoprolol 2.5 mg. After a couple of days, I started having issues: higher production of mucus, which led to severe lung congestion, fatigue was also high, itching of the skin, which led to rashes, and nausea. I never had this kind of side effects with amiodarone, metoprolol, sotalol, or any other medicines."

For High Blood Pressure "Started on 10 mg of bisoprolol and felt great at first, then after a few weeks, I started feeling really tired and nauseous. My doctor has since halved it to 5 mg. Not so tired, but don’t feel a lot better and was wondering if 2.5 might work?"

For Supraventricular Tachycardia "I have just been diagnosed with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, after having violent palpitations. The hospital prescribed bisoprolol 2.5 a week ago, as my blood pressure was very high. I feel awful, depressed from the diagnosis, exhausted, breathless, dry mouth, nausea, and my heart is heavy in my chest. Last night, my heartbeats woke me up. They also prescribed apixaban blood thinners, which I have not started after reading the dangerous side effects. My GP asked me to wait a few more days to see if my body adjusts. I hope it does, as feeling like this is miserable."

For Supraventricular Tachycardia "Acute illness went into SVT - Initially given 2.5 mg daily, which was increased to 5 mg, then 7.5 mg to control episodes. Things seemed to settle down, and I was discharged home. Took 7.5 mg daily for 16 days, then was rushed back into the hospital with what I thought was major heart issues. I suffered the worst panic attack I have ever had: shaking, palpitations, crying, pacing, nausea, vomiting, the list goes on. It lasted over 12 hours. Eventually settled after other medications were given, and bisoprolol was stopped. I have had a few breakthrough episodes, which are getting milder now (fingers crossed). Reading some blogs, I am wondering if it is actually the bisoprolol that has caused this event, as I have never suffered from anything like this before."

For Supraventricular Tachycardia "Been on bisoprolol for about 8 months, dose 1.25 mg twice a day, feel crappy. Nauseous, dizzy, really tired at times, breathless, terrible sweats, itchy, eye twitches in both eyes. Horrible dizzy and sweating and breathing issues, awful panic episodes, and severe weakness. Initial diagnosis, SVT."
