For Cough "The Tessalon pills prescribed for my cough had zero effect on preventing my coughing. I would not recommend that any NP or MD put your reputation as a medical practitioner on the line for this waste of time and money."

For Cough "I’ve been coughing for over a month and was recently prescribed these for the third time! They don't work, and doctors won’t listen when you try to tell them this! All they care about is the fact that it’s not a narcotic! Don’t waste your money! Eat a cough drop instead, it will work much better!"

For Cough "I had started a bad cough right before having to fly back to the United States from Germany. I took a Tessalon pearl and was able to sleep throughout the flight with no negative side effects. I then took one in the evening when I got home and slept through the night with no problems. The only negative thing I noticed was a dry mouth."

For Cough "My mother was prescribed Tessalon Perles. That night/early morning, she started having hallucinations. Really bad hallucinations! She had to be taken to the ER. The perles do not affect me. But due to the issues my mother had, I will not EVER take these again!"

For Cough "Still coughing after taking Tessalon Perles for 2 days. They've done absolutely nothing to help with my cough. I'm going back to OTC Robitussin. Pharm tech said most insurances do not cover this medication. Mine was no exception. It's a lot of $ for a product that doesn't work."

For Cough "Had a horrific cough and very bad sinus infection. On day 2, I went to the ER due to problems breathing. Dr. prescribed Tessalon and an antibiotic. I have been taking the Tessalon 100 mg for 3 times a day, and it has stopped the cough some, but still very congested and feeling very little relief on that part."

For Cough "Was prescribed these last night when the promethazine/codeine syrup I was previously prescribed couldn't handle my bronchitis cough. I cannot take dextromethorphan because I take sertraline. Together with a glass of honey and Cepacol, they calmed the cough enough to help me sleep."

For Cough "I have been prescribed Tessalon Perles twice. Both times for bronchitis, 5 years apart. I can't tell whether or not they actually do anything. What I do know is that they provide very little, if any, cough suppression. If I have to go back to the doctor for a cough of any sort, I plan to request something else."

For Cough "These were amazing! I had a lingering cough after COVID. Unproductive, just dry. However, unless I had a cough drop in my mouth or was sitting in front of a humidifier, I could not stop coughing. These were like a little miracle for me. I had no side effects. I did have to refill the prescription once because I was still coughing, but at the end of the second bottle, I could finally breathe normally without hacking up a lung."

For Cough "I have my biannual bronchitis and went to urgent care mainly to get some narcotic cough syrup. The last three nights I’ve been trashing my abdominal muscles while drowning in phlegm. When I asked about something for cough, she said, “I prescribed Tessalon Perles.” I hadn’t seen this used since nursing school in 1978. I protested, but didn’t want to look like a narcotic seeker, so accepted the P.A.'s word that these work. They may have a minimal effect, but not like Mad Dog Tussionex. I may break a rib coughing, but I’m narcotic free!"

For Cough "Works pretty well for about three or four hours, then I'm awake and coughing again. Label says I can't take it more often than every eight hours. Don't know how I'm supposed to get better when I can only get three hours of sleep at night. This isn't any better than Robitussin DM. I'll stick to that next time."

For Cough "If you’re reading these reviews, you’ll probably notice how reviews are either extremely positive or people claim they don’t work. Well, the truth is only some people have the body chemistry for these to be effective. Around 50% of people feel no effect, and the other half it's really effective for, and there isn't really a way to know if they’ll be effective till after you try them out."

For Cough "I get bronchitis several times a year, and this medication is pretty effective in controlling my cough. I always try these first before moving on to steroids or cough meds with codeine, and they work well!"

For Cough "Literally the worst! I had COVID and was prescribed these to help with a nagging cough. Took it as directed, and literally nothing changed. Still have an annoying cough and barely getting any sleep! Definitely a waste of my money, and on top of that, I noticed a horrible breakout on my face that wasn’t there until after I started taking them. Definitely a 0/10. Save your money and try home remedies instead!!"
