For Chlamydia Infection "This was not my first time taking this medication (I was lied to twice), however, it was the first time I've had side effects. I did not eat before or after and still managed to vomit a few times. I've been nauseated since I took the medication and have developed a headache as well as stomach cramps. Now I'm just praying I didn't puke up the meds! PLEASE GO GET CHECKED BEFORE UNPROTECTED SEX! I shouldn't have to go through complete hell because my partner didn't realize there were TWO DIFFERENT TESTS! A blood test does NOT check for gonorrhea or chlamydia!"

For Chlamydia Infection "Wow, I just took this yesterday, July 8, 2021, and I took a 1000 mg dose and then ate a bag of chips afterward. About an hour later, I had really, really bad stomach cramps! Almost like contractions, and I experienced diarrhea and the shakes for about 30, maybe 40 minutes. After that, I dozed off and went to sleep. Woke up, and the stomach pains had lessened. Thank goodness! Drinking pickle juice helps cramps also."

For Chlamydia Infection "Omg! Do NOT take these on an empty stomach! I only had a couple of crackers and water thinking I would be okay... WRONG. I got a headache, felt very nauseous, and worst of all, the stomach cramps. I took four 250 mg pills and not even 10 minutes later, I felt the side effects. It’s only been 2 hours since, and I’m in bed curled in the fetal position. Sidenote: I ate a piece of bread, and life seems to have gotten better, but still no headache relief."

For Bronchitis "Starting taking for cough and chest congestion. Day 1, real good, some stomach cramps, could NOT sleep. Day 2, some stomach cramps, could NOT sleep. Day 3, stomach cramps AGAIN, COULD NOT SLEEP. Glad I got a doctor's note for work because it's 3 days and NO sleep. Good for the cough, but so bad for the restlessness and constant vigor!!"

For Chlamydia Infection "I'm not even one to leave reviews, but I feel people need to know what they're getting into with this one! Took this at 4:30 PM, went about my day, and felt immense stomach cramps in my upper abdominal area by about 6:00! OMG! Went to the toilet three times in about half an hour with watery diarrhea and laid in bed dying for a couple of hours. The cramps were so bad I called 111 and literally got my Bible out and prayed because I personally felt like it was unbearable. Didn't eat or drink anything after taking the medicine. The pain has now subsided and it's 8:00. I'm praying it doesn't come back."

For Upper Respiratory Tract Infection "I was prescribed this med for an infection. I have gotten better, but side effects for me are stomach cramps, diarrhea, lightheadedness, nausea, and I'm very jittery at night, having a hard time sleeping. I'm glad it's not just me, but I guess this med has pros and cons - 2 more days of hell."

Azithromycin for Bronchitis "Eased my chest tightness when coughing after the first day. Took for 3 days, then started experiencing stomach cramps, diarrhea, and gas pressure. Gave me a funny taste in my mouth that I couldn't get rid of. Did not take the last 2 pills. Would rather have a cough than stomach issues."

For Chlamydia Infection "My partner was told he had chlamydia. I am pregnant and went to the doctor the very next day to get tested. I will have the results in 2 days, but if he has it, the doctor’s pretty sure I do. I was given the 1 gram powder I mixed with water, and it tasted TERRIBLE. I gagged but just swallowed my throw-up, so I still digest it. I have work early in the morning and have really bad diarrhea now. My stomach will not stop bubbling, and I am unable to sleep. Yeah, it's nice to get rid of this problem so easy with one dose, but my god, it makes you feel terrible."

For Chlamydia Infection "Gyno called me Tuesday morning, said my pap came back normal, however, I had cultures test positive for Chlamydia. She said she called in the prescription to my pharmacy, and I should be able to pick up the antibiotics the same day. Picked up the antibiotics after work and took them around 7:30 pm that night. Took them after eating my leftover calzone and had a glass of water. Was fine for an hour until I started having the worst stomach cramps on and off for the rest of the night."

For Chlamydia Infection "Diagnosed with Chlamydia. The doctor gave me a box of Doxycycline, which I took for two weeks (2 small tablets daily). Since I had protected sex during the treatment period and after doing some research, I wanted to make sure I do not have the infection when I go for a retest, so I thought of Azithromycin. An hour before I took the meds, I stumbled upon this site and almost backed out because of the crazy experiences. However, when in doubt, I'm kind of all out, so I took them, even had an after-midnight snack, did not feel anything bad, and slept. It was a bit hard to sleep, though. Perhaps it is my mind anticipating the stomach cramps or diarrhea?"

For Chlamydia Infection "Had sex with a partner I've previously been with for months, but he has been with other people. Then we had sex with a condom three times over time, and it started to smell down there. So I got tested a month later, and the day I went to the gyno, I was positive for BV. Haven't treated yet because I'm about to start my period. A few days later, I got a call from the doctor that I was also positive for chlamydia. So I took the two pills, they were white, and started reading on here the side effects, and dang, I was nervous. But I did eat a big meal an hour before and a small one after I took them and drank a good amount of water throughout the day and felt fine. But 30 minutes after, I had stomach noises, but nothing serious. Exactly 24 hours later, I'm blowing up the toilet."

For Chlamydia Infection "I had to take two azithromycin pills at once, so that was 1000 mg. As soon as I took it, about an hour later, I was on the toilet, very loose stool. Blurred vision two hours later, back on the toilet, sat there for about 45 minutes, stomach very upset, dry heaving, and then I took a nap. For Chlamydia Infection "I must tell you I was absolutely terrified of taking this medication because of a bad experience I had with antibiotics last year. I put off taking them for over a week but couldn't tolerate the symptoms any longer and took the medication. I'm really glad I did because it's not been as bad as I'd imagined it would be. I did take extra precautions though after reading these reviews. I took probiotics the week leading up to taking the antibiotics and made sure I ate an hour before taking them. It's also important to make sure your electrolytes are balanced, especially potassium, so I made sure I'd done that too. I took the tablets at 10 a.m., and it's now 2:30 p.m. and I've only had mild diarrhea and stomach gurgling. I'm hoping that it will carry on this way because I can handle that. We'll see what the next few days bring. The anxiety about taking this medication has been horrendous, but it's got to be done. Look after yourself before and after this medication, and hopefully, it'll be a smooth ride."

For Chlamydia Infection "Starting this medication made me nervous, but without any side effects, the two-pill dose has zero complaints from me! No stomach cramping, no diarrhea, no nausea, nothing! My advice to anyone taking it is to take your recommended dose immediately after eating a large meal since food reduces side effects in medications. Other than that, you’re on your way to becoming C free! Good luck!"

For Chlamydia Infection "I ordered a home test kit and tested positive for infection. I then had to take two 500 mg tablets. Twenty minutes after taking them, I became very hot and agitated. I became very nauseous and gagged three or four times. I had really bad stomach cramps and felt the need to go to the toilet. For the rest of the day, I felt sick on and off. For Chlamydia Infection "I was prescribed this medication for a positive chlamydia test (ugh, the worst, right!?!). But I grabbed some Chipotle on the way home, then settled in at home, took my pills (4 pills in one dose, 250 mg), and started eating my Chipotle. Towards the end of my eating, I felt the urge to go number 2. I went and it was normal. But then I come back and I’m having some stomach cramps. So I go to the bathroom again and this time it's diarrhea and I’m feeling very nauseous. Not too long later, I’m throwing up. I had one throw-up episode and now I’m fine. I’ve worked at Chipotle and eaten the same exact order for years, so it must have been the medication. But I’m feeling pretty normal now, so that’s my only complaint so far, but it’s only night 1, so who knows? Hoping for the best though! All in all, stay safe and this medication doesn’t suck that bad."

For Chlamydia Infection "So I got the bad news while I was vacationing with my parents, so I couldn’t be treated for a whole week. By the time I got to my appointment, my chlamydia symptoms were just awful, so I was excited for these meds. I went in, and they found out I didn’t eat breakfast, so they gave me some Goldfish crackers and juice, but GUYS - take these on a full stomach. Goldfish crackers doesn’t really count. An hour later, I was sitting on the toilet with severe diarrhea, and the stomach cramps were just awful. HELP YOURSELF. Take on a full stomach."

Azithromycin for Chlamydia Infection "Went to our local free clinic for routine testing, no diagnosis yet, but they treated me for gonorrhea and chlamydia. The worst side effects ever, from 4:30 till 8:30, non-stop stomach cramps, diarrhea. This medication is horrible. Safe sex would have stopped me from getting into this situation - wrap it up and be safe."

For Chlamydia Infection "My boyfriend and I had to take this due to a positive result. We broke up for 2 months recently from our 4-year relationship, he hooked up with a girl who had chlamydia, got tested, thought it was gone after treatment, well here we are. Well, I was tested already, it came back positive, got treated, got tested again, and it came back negative. We had sex after one week. And I got it AGAIN! We both took this, and I had no side effects at all. I took two 500 mg pills, and he took a 1000 mg power drink. For Chlamydia Infection "I've gotten this twice, and should know better and wrap it up! But sometimes it just doesn't happen. The first time I got it, I let it go for too long and was given the long, drawn-out script, no bueno! It did take care of it then, and I was glad. Now, this time I knew right away what it was, so I set up an appointment for Planned Parenthood for the following day. Went in, told the doctor (whom I had seen previously) the signs and symptoms, so she didn't have to check out Mr. Wang, thank God. But she gave me the four-pill dose and suggested I eat a little first and halfway through take the meds and finish eating. I did that and had a wee bit of an upset stomach, but nothing severe and no diarrhea really. So all in all, thank you, Azyth!"

For Chlamydia Infection "I was scared because I had the worst experience with antibiotics, but this one was probably the best. No chalky taste. Easy to take. Take with food to avoid stomach aches! I had noodles and a smoothie and was perfectly fine. And remember to practice safe sex, just because you only have sex with one person doesn’t mean your partner is."

For Bacterial Infection "This one isn’t terrible. The first night taking 500 mg, I became intensely nauseous only for two hours. I’ve taken much worse antibiotics that made me go to sleep and have terrible nightmares. Today, on the second day, I have a stomach ache. Overall, in the morning after I take it, I feel spaced out. It's a very mild and tolerable symptom that is gone by midday. I didn't have insomnia with this so far."

Azithromycin for Chlamydia Infection "This is my first time getting Chlamydia. I can honestly say I cried so much because I didn’t know how I got it. My boyfriend had gotten tested 2 weeks before we had intercourse, and I got tested right after him and came up with nothing. He didn’t have any symptoms of it, and I didn’t either. I only had BV, and I don’t know, maybe that made me prone to get Chlamydia. But let me get to the point. With my anxiety and phobia of pills, it took me 3-4 days to drink the pills because I was scared of taking the 4 pills (1000 mg) all together. Reading these reviews of how people reacted made me anxious, but I reacted fine for now as I’m writing this sitting on the toilet. Yes, it does give you some stomach aches here and there. They were strong at first until I fell asleep around 1 AM, and it made me feel very gassy and nauseous. I hate it. But keep yourself hydrated at all times and take it before bed!! Don’t be scared to take it. Hopefully, I get cured from this, and it never comes back!"
