Acetaminophen / codeine for Pain "I have really bad pain/fibromyalgia/osteoarthritis possibly. My pain doctor prescribed me this pill, and it has been a godsend. The only side effect I get is nausea. I take a Zofran if it’s bad, it really helps my pain. It helps me function in life again."

Acetaminophen / codeine for Pain "I was prescribed this medication after returning to work 3 weeks after a moderate ankle sprain. I am alternating 800 mg of Motrin and 1000 mg of Tylenol every 6 hours around the clock, so basically I am taking something every 3 hours and icing/elevating my ankle when pain meds are due. It has been 2 months since my injury and I am still in severe pain, I have had to modify my work schedule, and I basically sit around doing as little as possible to rest. I am on my feet at work for 12 hours at a time, in a walking boot, which is also causing me lower back and hip pain. After I come home from work, I take 2 Tylenol #3, and it does nothing. I do not take pain medicine often, but this is providing 0 pain relief and makes me very nauseated."

Acetaminophen / codeine for Pain "I am currently taking this medication for moderate pain reduction. I hurt my wrist by falling on concrete stairs. It does reduce the pain and works very well. The only downside is stomach upset, nausea, and extreme sleepiness. I do not have any kind of narcotic tolerance. This medicine is for minor to moderate relief of pain and should be used as such. This medicine, in my book, scores an 8 out of 10 points for managing moderate pain. Highly recommend."

For Pain "This was the most awful experience with a drug I’ve ever taken. I was up for 24 hours because I could not fall asleep, nauseated, and having brutal anxiety/paranoia. This was prescribed after I had a painful surgery. I was relatively healthy considering I lost a massive amount of weight. Others had great experiences, but unfortunately it doesn’t work with me. A waste."

For Pain "I have to take this following surgery to remove hardware from my ankle. I thought that it would work, and it simply did not. I don't even notice any difference after taking it, except maybe that I would like to throw up. I took a full dose, and it never kicked in at all. I should be able to walk, but due to the pain, I can't even move. I really need something stronger, and this is coming from someone who has a really high pain tolerance."

Acetaminophen / codeine for Pain "Barely touched the pain. Went from a level 9 to level 8. I was previously on Butrans patches that worked wonderfully and took me down to a level 5/4 pain, but it made me severely nauseous, so I was switched to codeine. Do not recommend."

Acetaminophen / codeine for Pain "This medicine worked too well for me, my dentist prescribed it due to a root canal. Now I feel dizzy, nauseous, very sleepy. Pain is completely gone, but this worked way too well."

Acetaminophen / codeine for Pain "Suffering from a kidney stone and had my stent removed today. The pain is enough to cause me to throw up and cry like a baby. The T3s I was prescribed take the slightest edge off the pain."

Acetaminophen / codeine for Pain "Had a bout of awful strep throat, pain in the left side of my throat as well as the left ear, excruciating pain for me to swallow! Doc first prescribed Naproxen, didn't do anything for me except make me want to vomit and stay nauseous after I'd even tried to eat something. Prescribed me some Tylenol 3 with codeine, and within 30 minutes of having a moderately somewhat full tummy, I feel the great effects of it already, less pain, but will be using until my strep has cleared and pain has gone, so we will see if the effect still lasts after a few days!"
