Acetaminophen / codeine for Osteoarthritis "I take 4 or 5 Tylenol #3's per day. Seems to work for my neck and shoulder at about a factor of 80%. Also helps a bit with being bummed out and also with minor depression. Hope this helps. P.S. I like this better than Vicodin. Vicodin gives me a headache, for some reason."

Acetaminophen / codeine for Pain "I have very swollen lymph nodes in my neck, causing headaches, jaw pain, and swelling. I take 2 pills at once every eight hours, and it takes about an hour to kick in, and it lasts about an additional 6 to 7 hours."

Acetaminophen / codeine for Pain "I just had a tooth extraction #13, was prescribed Tylenol 3, and it barely worked. I've taken two within 6 hrs, and nothing has happened. Instead, I feel more pain, and it's causing me a severe headache. Will go back to my oral surgeon to see if I can get something stronger. What a waste!!!"

Acetaminophen / codeine for Pain "Got my wisdom tooth removed. I had a surgical procedure because my tooth was impacted. I had to take 3 pills within 6 hours. It barely worked, the side of my face is still throbbing and in pain. I couldn't take more because of the acetaminophen. Going back to the dentist tomorrow to get something stronger instead."

Acetaminophen / codeine for Pain "I have been taking triptans on and off over the past 7 years, even though I favor homeopathic and naturopathic medicine over prescription drugs, but was desperate as suddenly getting migraines after menopause for the first time! After finally suffering rebound headaches, as my doctor did not warn me, I couldn't sleep or was being woken up with pain, so asked for Tylenol 3 for the pain, and after taking one a day solely for only 2 weeks, I was off the triptans, it felt like a miracle! However, once over the hurdle, don't take codeine for a long time, as that can cause rebound headaches as well, but it got me through!"

Acetaminophen / codeine for Pain "After I was discharged from intensive care, I reported no pain, and no painkillers were given previously. After being given Tylenol 3 in liquid form, I started to experience pain with an extra-large headache. The pain was in my eyes, temples, and ears, not to mention my throat. I got cold, and my legs started to shake. Then I experienced more swelling in my throat than before, but I thought that this was post-op normal. After the second dose, I started to panic quietly inside, and I couldn't get liquid Advil out of my mind! The nurse only had tablets, so my husband arrived and rushed me to the pharmacy to get some Children's liquid Advil, and 30 minutes later, I was pain-free! I'm not touching my prescription for Tylenol 3 and will tell the doc ASAP."

For Pain "Recently had my wisdom teeth pulled, and I have constant throbbing on my left side. I'm sitting here in bed at 00:03, and it's not helping. This is the second night with no sleep."
