Acetaminophen / codeine for Cough "This seemed to work for a recent bout with the flu and bronchitis. Everything hurt from head to toe. 1 pill in the morning and 1 at night worked wonders. The drowsiness is manageable, and the ability to function normally was present. I'd recommend for aches and pains from flu and hard coughing."

Acetaminophen / codeine for Cough "This is the only medication I have found to help with a chronic cough after a cold or respiratory infection. It makes me a little sleepy if I take it during the day, but I can function with little coughing."

Acetaminophen / codeine for Pain "Had a secondary molar extracted and was prescribed Tylenol 3 for pain. It has not alleviated the pain at all. I have a fairly reasonable pain threshold (had major abdominal surgery 1 year ago and didn't require this much pain management). Revisited the dentist today for pain (concern with possible infection or dry socket). All is healing well, so I don't understand why the entire side of my face hurts. Don't recommend T3 for dental pain management. It's making me drowsy, but that's it. I've had to take 1 every 4 hours, and the last dose I doubled up and took 2. Still didn't help. I don't think it's made any difference at all :("

Acetaminophen / codeine for Pain "I was given this in the hospital when the pulmonary embolism had shifted very painfully. Helped get me from a pain level of 6 or 7 down to a reasonable 1 or 2. Had been given Norco and even morphine previously, but they were so strong I slept over 18 hours a day. Would definitely recommend Tylenol with codeine to someone in moderate pain."

Acetaminophen / codeine for Pain "Went to the ER for fever and strep throat. My back was hurting very badly as well. I was prescribed a few things, but Tylenol 3 for pain. It makes me very groggy and sleepy, and I like that because I'd rather sleep the day away than sit up. Makes me kind of dizzy, but not too bad. Works well for pain and sleep."

Acetaminophen / codeine for Pain "I got my four wisdom teeth out, and the pain was unbearable! I don't handle pain very well, but one T3 and two Advil made me not feel pain or anything! And the T3s made me very sleepy, so I could rest!"

Acetaminophen / codeine for Pain "I have needed to get my four wisdom teeth pulled out for 2 years now. And just on this medication until surgery. My mandible, which is my lower jaw, and gums are very swollen and infected, not so much pain in my upper areas in my mouth. My dentist prescribed me Tylenol #3 with codeine and antibiotics. Tylenol #3 is a joke, it does not help with my pain at all, it just makes me very drowsy. When I do rest, the pain is still severe."

Acetaminophen / codeine for Pain "I am currently taking this medication for moderate pain reduction. I hurt my wrist by falling on concrete stairs. It does reduce the pain and works very well. The only downside is stomach upset, nausea, and extreme sleepiness. I do not have any kind of narcotic tolerance. This medicine is for minor to moderate relief of pain and should be used as such. This medicine, in my book, scores an 8 out of 10 points for managing moderate pain. Highly recommend."

Acetaminophen / codeine for Pain "I have 'loose shoulders,' and my doctor prescribed this to me. I am 14, and it feels kind of weird as it is my first pain medication other than ibuprofen. It works rather quickly and subsides some pain, but not all. Also makes me drowsy, so I only take it at night."

For Pain "I take this for severe joint pain. Like I can't walk at all because of the pain. I take two, sometimes three, codeine tablets (60 mg) or (90 mg) of codeine, and it works within an hour, making it okay to walk again. It does, however, make me feel very, very drowsy and lightheaded, and I'm not really with it at all, but it is wonderful for relieving the pain."

Acetaminophen / codeine for Pain "I use this for my pancreatitis, NASH, and inflamed spleen. I have other health issues as well. Currently, this works far better than Vicodin or Darvocet. Those two did nothing for me with the pain, this at least takes the edge off, though. At times, it does make me sleepy and drowsy at work."

Acetaminophen / codeine for Pain "I have chronic pain due to endometriosis, and trust me, not pleasant at all, but with this medication, it helps. It may not be as strong as I would like it to be, but I'm okay, it does something. I just don't want to rely on pain meds because of my daughter. However, in times of great overwhelming pain, I take one of these and an Ambien, and I'm out cold. Upside is I met my out-of-pocket and deductible, so it's free until the end of the year."

For Pain "My 8-year-old son was given this after his molar extraction. We hesitated to give it to him, but that was expected. Afterwards, he didn't complain of pain, didn't think it would be that effective. He did, however, complain about feeling sleepy and drowsy and wanting to get up and play."
