Monopril is used in the treatment of diabetic kidney disease; high blood pressure; heart failure; left ventricular dysfunction and belongs to the drug class Angiotensin Converting Enzyme Inhibitors. There is positive evidence of human fetal risk during pregnancy. Monopril 40 mg is not a controlled substance under the Controlled Substance Act (CSA).
