Usual Adult Dose for Dyspepsia
Calcium carbonate 750 mg-simethicone 80 mg: 1 to 2 tablets orally up to 6 times a day as needed or as directed
- Maximum dose: Calcium carbonate 4500 mg-simethicone 480 mg (6 tablets)/day
- Duration of therapy: Up to 2 weeks
Calcium carbonate 1000 mg-simethicone 60 mg: 1 to 2 tablets orally up to 8 times a day as needed or as directed
- Maximum dose: Calcium carbonate 8000 mg-simethicone 480 mg (8 tablets)/day
- Duration of therapy: Up to 2 weeks
Comment: Patients should not use the maximum daily dose for longer than 2 weeks unless otherwise directed.
Uses:
- Relief of acid indigestion, heartburn, sour stomach, or upset stomach associated with these symptoms
- Relief of gas associated with acid indigestion, heartburn, or sour stomach
- Relief of bloating and pressure (gas)

CONTRAINDICATIONS: None.
Safety and efficacy in calcium carbonate 400 mg-simethicone 40 mg have not been established in patients younger than 2 years or less than 10.9 kg.
Safety and efficacy in calcium carbonate 750 mg-simethicone 80 mg and calcium carbonate 1000 mg-simethicone 60 mg tablet formulations have not been established in patients younger than 12 years.
