For Birth Control: My gyn gave me 4 packs of this pill for free. Goal was to prevent pregnancy but also to get some relief from heavy monthly bleeding/cramps. I’m on pack 4 and still have breakthrough bleeding, it just happens unexpectedly and can last a week or more. Cramps have improved and haven’t gotten pregnant, but I’ve had major cystic acne and dry eyes so they’re bloodshot all the time. No weight gain which is a plus. I feel like a guinea pig since this pill was literally just approved by FDA and there are no patient reviews to be found. Not sure if I will continue taking, I can only imagine what the monthly price will be on a brand new pill on the market with no generic available. |

For Birth Control: I took it for about 2 1/2 months. I became depressed and anxious. I was anxious before and Vienva made it worse. My body ached from it, too. The pain increasingly got worse until I finally stopped taking it. My chest also hurt. It seemed to have a negative affect on my breathing and circulation. I got a heavy period the day after I stopped taking it. It was very heavy and both my back and stomached ached. While taking it, I hardly had any cramps or PMS symptoms before periods. That was one plus side. Overall, I would not recommend. It is a poor quality birth control. If your body can take it, then great, but if you want to feel good and normal do not take it. For Birth Control: I first started taking Vienva back in May, as I was having really bad cramping with my periods and decided to go back on birth control. I will say, that it has helped a lot with cramping and same with acne. However, this month I have had SO much breakthrough bleeding that it’s been the most annoying thing ever. Today I woke up and essentially have my period, AGAIN. I am only 4 days into my new pack of pills too, and was supposed to have my period last week. Which I did, but it was so light like it has been since I started. But today I had to use a super tampon! I don’t know what’s going on, but hopefully it’s a fluke and it will be normal again next month. If not, I’ll be switching for sure. |

For Birth Control: Originally started taking this pill for terrible cramps and pain during period. After 5 months, Slynd has reduced my period to only 3 days and the pain has decreased somewhat. I was pretty happy with the shorter period and less pain, but the acne is terrible. I had an absolutely clear face and back before taking this medication. Now my face and back are always covered in pimples. I cannot take it anymore I will be switching off of this pill. Just to note I did switch from tri-lo marzia to Slynd and tri-lo is much more effective with helping with acne but useless for cramps. I will be trying Yaz next...
