For Birth Control "So I’ve been on Vienva for 4 months now. When I barely started this birth control, I was scared and I searched it up on here, and I saw the horrible reviews. So I talked to my friends about it, and they told me that people are most likely to review when they have a bad experience with something. And it’s true because if you’re having a good time with a medication, you don’t ever consider going and reviewing it. So I decided to give it a try, at least for a couple of months. The first month, I experienced moodiness, headaches, and nausea. I wasn’t surprised because I was taking hormones, and that’s what hormones can do. My withdrawal bleeds are shorter (3-4 days instead of 5-7). My experience has been mostly positive! You never know until you try :) I hope I helped someone who’s about to start on birth control!"

For Birth Control "I just recently started this medication as my first ever use of birth control, and I've had no issues so far! No nausea, no cramping, no spotting yet. No mood swings or bloating either. I will update once I get further along, but so far I feel like I haven't even taken anything! Don't get too scared by the negative reviews because I think statistically speaking, more people are likely to share their experience if it's bad than people who are happy with it."

For Birth Control "I started using this pill about 2 months ago. I’ve only used birth control this time and another time about 2 years ago. The first time was fine, I didn’t have any side effects whatsoever (but then again it was a different pill), so I decided to go back on the pill again. I got prescribed Vienva from the pill club. The first 2 weeks of taking it, I would wake up every morning with extreme nausea, my mood swings started getting really bad and started affecting my relationship. I felt like I was starting to get depressed. Last night I got an overwhelming feeling of sadness out of nowhere and started crying uncontrollably, sobbing in the shower. I’ve NEVER done that before, and that for me was the last straw. I’m not pregnant, no, it works, I guess."

For Birth Control "First time ever taking birth control, Vienva, 29-year-old. No breakouts, no weight gain, or mood swings. In the beginning, I did experience a minor headache, but as the months went on, no more headaches. No problems with nausea as well. The only thing I believe my body was still adjusting to the meds because of some brown spotting when skipping placebos, going straight to my next pack, which only happened twice in the first 2 months of using. Other than that, everything seems to be working well for me, yay. Ladies, listen to your body, otherwise, switch to other brands :)"

For Birth Control "I’ve been on this pill once, for about a year, then switched and went back on it for insurance purposes. I have no idea why it has taken me so long to look into the birth control being an issue, I won’t be taking it anymore. I'm usually a happy person, but for the last year I’ve been miserable, nothing makes me happy, even if it’s something I would usually be happy about. I'm moody, so, so moody and angry. My sex drive is nonexistent, and I usually enjoy it. I have to hype myself up for sex and really set myself in a mood that goes and quick as it comes. My period pain has increased. I’m constantly bloated. I’ve also been nauseous and chalked it up to a weak stomach, but seeing here that might not be the case. I would not recommend this birth control, and the reviews have validated me. Thanks."

For Birth Control "I’ve only been taking Vienva for 4 days. I’ve been puking every single day and having an extremely bad migraine. It hasn’t gone away since starting these pills. I was going to try to wait it out the 2 weeks for the side effects to dissipate, but I don’t think I’ll be able to do that. I wake up nauseous every day the whole day, and with a migraine that pounds and will not stop. I DO NOT recommend these."

For Birth Control "First of all, I don’t recommend this if you have anxiety. This birth control caused my anxiety to spike, and it’s only been three weeks. I started getting depressive episodes, lower abdominal pain, nausea, big pimples that I have NEVER gotten before, and now I’m having breakthrough bleeding. Listen, take this pill at your own risk. Starting today, I’m done with it."

For Birth Control "At first, I got the birth control to regulate my period because it hadn’t come in over a month, so my doctor said since I’m active, I should consider this. I started taking the pills on September 11th, and at first, I was having mood swings and nausea, but after the first couple of days, I was better. I have gained 8.3 pounds, and it’s only been 3 weeks (which I’m happy about). Coming to this site, everyone scared me with all the bad reviews, but I like this pill. I’ve had clearer skin, gained weight, and been able to keep up. I will say I have no appetite on this pill, though. I mean, I will eat a lot, get “full,” and maybe 2 hours later be starving again."

For Birth Control "I was switched to Vienva from Orsythia by my pharmacy last month. I called my doc to make sure it was okay, and she said yes, they have the same active ingredients and may just have some different fillers and additives, but it should not affect me. I was upset because I had been on Orsythia for 6+ months with no problems at all. I just finished my first week of Vienva and have had some side effects. I feel nauseous a lot of the time, cramps periodically, increased anxiety, no appetite, fatigue, and get dizzy at times. I wasn't able to find any reviews of Vienva on other sites, so I'm leaving my review here to hopefully help others in the same situation. I'm going to try to stick it out and see if the side effects go away after a couple of months."

For Birth Control "I've been on Vienva for about 3 years now, and I couldn't be happier with it. I tried a different birth control before this, and I had horrible non-stop migraines, nausea, mood swings, the whole nine. So I stopped, and I eventually tried BC again, this time with Vienva, and everything has gone so smoothly. I'll be candid, I am taking it because I'm s- active, and take my word for it, after 3 years? It works. I would've had a few kids by now. Not everyone's body works the same. The first BC I tried was the brand my friend uses, and it works perfectly fine for her. The point is, if this one doesn't work for you, you can keep trying! Just because one pill didn't treat you well does not mean all of them won't. I found my perfect one with Vienva. 10/10 IMO."

For Birth Control "I took Lutera for years without an issue, and when I wanted to restart it, I was told it’s now called Vienva. Within a month, I had a stubborn yeast infection, nausea, weight gain, constipation, acne, and generally felt crabby. Whatever is in this new formulation did not agree with my body. I will not continue this brand!"

For Birth Control "I had the worst periods. Cramps, nausea, dizziness, heavy bleeding, long periods, all of it. I gave in at 25 years old and went to get birth control for the first time in my life. The doctor gave me Vienva, and I was scared reading reviews, but I had to try it myself. I took the pill at night two hours before bedtime just in case I did get side effects, and I did go #2 more times than usual in the mornings at the beginning, but that was it. I didn't gain weight, wasn't 'depressed,' none of it. I am finishing my first period on it, and it took two and a half days to start bleeding, and I had minimal cramps and consistent regular bleeding. I had a semi-heavy day on the third day but nothing excessive. I am going to start my new pack today, and I am still spotting, hopefully, it stops by tomorrow."

For Birth Control "At 35 years old and out of all BC pills I have ever used, low-dose levonorgestrel worked best for me. Never any bad side effects, no babies, and makes my periods lighter and shorter. Lutera was my favorite until a manufacturer change. I just recently got a new script for Vienva and have been on it less than a week now. Switched from a minipill back to a combo. My moods were out of control, hair was fragile, I bled for three weeks, and it only got heavier. Became very nauseous and anemic. I was never late or missed pills. Ever since the switch back, I have never felt better. Moods mellowed, and the bleeding has almost stopped. Skin has stayed clear, hair is healthier, and no fluid retention. One thing I have noticed, however, is I get more dehydrated, and sweets have been making me sick. I will update you ladies again in a few months. So far, this pill is worth a try. Glad my doctor listened to my concerns and put me back on the right pill."

"Please read this if you have PCOS. This Vienva pill works! I tried it for three months before reviewing it. I'm in my 40s, a mom, and have PCOS. I've had multiple ruptured cysts and sharp pains in my ovaries for 5 years. Nothing helped. Looking at surgery, I tried this as a last resort. If you are a 'typical' woman, maybe this pill isn't for you! But if you're one of those people who reacts to the various medications that seem to help everybody else, then please try Vienva! Nothing works for me the way it 'should.' IT'S WONDERFUL. I take it in the morning. I have zero nausea. Zero cramps. Zero cyst pain (yes, that's gone!). The first two days it felt as if my ovaries were on fire. Since that passed, it's been SO nice not to have pain there! This pill has changed my life. If you tend to overreact to 'normal' pills, and you have issues with your ovaries, I wrote this because I know how bad it can be! Best of luck!"

For Birth Control "This is my first time on birth control, and it has been the worst experience of my life. Month one was fine, I had nausea and threw up some, but nothing overbearing. Now I'm at the end of month two, and I'm completely over this pill! I have nausea every day, I feel like I have to throw up all the time, I got my first ever yeast infection, I have had extreme bloating for days at a time, and also I am experiencing pain while having sex. After sex, I’m in so much pain I just want to cry, and it could’ve only been 5 minutes. Do not take this pill. I thought it was all in my head, but I’m so glad I’m not the only one who has experienced these things. Also, my mental health has been messed up. My fiancé even said I’ve been moody and filled with anxiety, avoid this method and try something else. Only gave this a 1 because I’m not pregnant."

For Birth Control "I started this Vienva 3 weeks ago, and it’s the worst. I’ve been having terrible stomach pains for a week now. Every time I look at food, it makes me feel sick. I feel as if I’m hungry, but when I eat, the stomach pain gets worse. Woke up last night feeling like I was gonna puke and couldn’t go back to sleep. On top of that, I have zero sex drive, and everything upsets me, which is affecting my relationship with my boyfriend. I’ve also noticed hair loss."

For Birth Control "I posted a review Feb 20 on here. Update: I am considering switching to another pill. After 4 months, I started feeling really dizzy/nauseous randomly throughout the day. To say the least, this exacerbated my anxiety to the max. I haven’t had a decent night’s sleep in a long time because of the anxiety. I feel really dizzy all the time and my neck feels tense. I was having a good experience with this pill until the past two months. Anxiety is wild, y’all."

For Birth Control "Okay, so I’ve been on the pill for about 6 months. I don’t know if it’s breakthrough bleeding, but ever since the week before Christmas, I am still on my period. At first, it was light, but ever since then, I’ve had my light period, but it’s heavy at the same time. It’s uncomfortable because it’s now February, and I still have my period, and I feel like it’s gotten heavier. I never had any side effects. I mean lately, my mood has been different, but I think it’s because I’ve started drinking water. I’ve been working out more, and lately, I have been stressed, so I think it’s just a mixture of a lot of subjects. When I first started, I was doing fine, no cramps at all, light bleeding when I got my period, no headaches. When I started my pill, I do remember being at work and feeling very, very nauseous, but that was a random day, then it stopped. I knew it was because of the pill. The best part is no cramps."

For Birth Control "I started this birth control 3 months ago. Apart from migraines here and there and some discomfort with sexual intercourse at times, this birth control has done wonders for me! I don’t have any nausea or vomiting, plus my period cramps have vanished, which is great. I was terrified of the previous reviews, but it all depends on the person. I am 20, and this is my first time ever on birth control, so I’m amazed!"

For Birth Control "I wanted to do this review for anyone who has just started this medicine. I’m 28 years old and have only tried birth control when I was 23 for a 2-week period and hated it. I wanted to try again, so I was prescribed the Vienva. So far, I have taken mine for 8 days. I waited for all the awful side effects I had seen in many reviews but have had few. The worst side effect I experienced was the nausea. Some days, so bad my mouth would salivate and I would tremble. I have not experienced any noticeable effects on my mood, no headaches, no anxiety or depression, or any breakthrough bleeding. I’m honestly surprised as being someone who's basically never taken BC on the norm, I haven’t experienced any worse side effects. I’ve also had a decrease in appetite and have noticed no effects on my sex drive either. So, though it is still early, I feel like this is going to be a really good option for me."

For Birth Control "Ever since I started taking this birth control, I noticed a complete shift in myself. I have been soooooo depressed, and my mood swings are so out of control. Before I started this birth control, I was a very happy and outgoing person, and now I'm so depressed and emotional about everything. My appetite is either extremely hungry or not hungry at all. There will be days when I just keep getting hungry, and other days when I'm hungry maybe once a day, and that's all. I'm always nauseous when I do eat, and my cramps feel just the same as before. Beware and do your research before taking this!!"

For Birth Control "Horrible, I hate these birth control pills, Vienva. They have made me nauseous every morning, gave me headaches for a good week or so, and will get really bad mood swings and make me feel so emotional sometimes. As soon as I finish this pack, I will change to a different brand, or maybe even sooner because I can’t deal with this. Oh, not to forget to mention, I’ve been bleeding since I got my period and have not stopped. I got my period over a week ago... without the pills, my period will only last a few days, 4 days tops."
