Zomig-ZMT (zolmitriptan) for Migraine "I Suffered with dreadful Migraine ever since I was around 11 years old, so bad my arm used to be paralysed and speech was severely affected with almost stroke like symptoms, I had so much time off school and also my places of employment in later life and I had to cancel shows, trips out etc.At the age of 57 I was prescribed Zomig and it changed my life, I only need a quarter of a tablet and after 40 minutes I feel fine and the only side effect is a slight sensitivity to hot drinks and hot water which wears off after an hour or so .I can't believe all those years I have suffered and the way Migraine ruled my life. I am 69 years old this year and whilst I feel happy to be cured,I feel I have been robbed of many years."

For Migraine "Wonder pill as far as I'm concerned. I worry in case I run out, or, horror of horrors, they stop making it. The pain and other migraine symptoms seem to switch off in less than an hour after taking it, and side effects of sore/sensitive throat are not bothersome. I used to have 2 or more a month lasting 3 days, and nothing would make me comfortable."

Zomig Nasal Spray (zolmitriptan) for Migraine "I tried 2.5 nasal spray of Zomig. I have had headaches for 18 weeks straight with clean scan results so far. My neuro gave me this spray. After 5 min my arm was numb for 2 min then it was normal. My nose was clearer than before like I could breathe and my pain went from severe in my head to mild for only 30 min and the pain came back , this basically did what a Tylenol does (but Tylenol has less side effects and with Tylenol you could take it everyday). For the person who suffers the 3-5 migraines a month this might work but if you have unexplained chronic headaches / cluster / tension I wouldn’t even bother with this ."

Bit of sore throat further dwn throat. Short lived chest pain traveled to chest bone left side when bedtime? Speech , foggy head , thinking worsened. Dizziness (was already experiencing) Still woke during night with bad head (so cannot use) But these are manageable because better than the migraine. Could it be possible to spray 1st dose and take 2nd evening hour or 2 before bed instead of 2hrs after the initial. Terrible after taste ."

Zomig (zolmitriptan) for Migraine "I was given this to try for menstrual migraines. (I only get my migraines the first day of, the last day of, and sometimes halfway between periods.) While it did get rid of my migraine, the pain got A LOT worse before it went away. That was the one and only time I used this medication."

Zomig-ZMT (zolmitriptan) for Migraine "Fantastic. I use to suffer with nasty migranes that would leave me in bed, in too much pain to even cry. I use zomig rapi-melt 2.5mg. It takes between 20-40 mins to work, at any stage of the attack, and clears all symptoms."

Zomig (zolmitriptan) for Migraine "Maxalt did nothing and oral sumatriptan stopped working so I tried Zomig spray. I followed the directions exactly and still got a ton of product dripping down the back of my throat (which is normal). Either my migraine kept getting worse of the Zomig made it worse. Either way, this did not work for me."

Zomig (zolmitriptan) for Migraine "I started with the 2.5 mg dose and neurologist increased it to 5mg due to the severity of my migraines. This medicine makes me itch horribly. I drove my son nuts last night, making him check my bed every few minutes because I just knew there were bugs crawling on me. I haven't stopped scratching, I probably look like I have scabies or something. I need to find out if I can take a benedryl with this. Also, I'm on the fence about this medicine as it doesn't always work for me."

Zomig (zolmitriptan) for Migraine "I've been dependent on Zomig for ~ 6 or 7 years for food-related migraine - every time my system rejects another food - 1st was chocolate and now it's grown to ~ 25 things. I am thinking onion powder is the newest ... tyramine in onion powder? Or is it rebound? How long between dose of Zomig and a rebound migraine?"

For Migraine "I had being taking zomig 2.5mg since 1998 till now and it was the best thing that I got. Within 30 minutes after taking it, I do feel really energetic and no pain- thanks to my doctor and the creator of zomig. For last 15 years I had being taking generic brand due to insurance and it still works but takes at least 1 or 2 hours for the pain to go away."

Zomig (zolmitriptan) for Migraine "I have suffered with migraines for 20 years & without Zomig I would have missed out on many things in life. There are side effects such as spaced out feeling, dry mouth, increased urine which only last few hours after taking medication. But would rather have minor side effects & live my life without always being in pain."

Zomig-ZMT (zolmitriptan) for Migraine "Zomig is effective, though I occasionally require a second dose. After taking Zomig, I experience stiffness and achiness throughout my body. Warm water feels very hot on my hands and if I drink tea, it has to be barely warm or it feels like it is burning my mouth. Sometimes after several days of migraines treated with Zomig, I am so sore all over that I have trouble walking or doing anything physical. I have fibromyalgia and it seems like Zomig makes it worse- more painful."

Zomig (zolmitriptan) for Migraine "My neurologist prescribed Zomig for my migraines (45 years) in November 2011. Within 1 hour my migraine vanished with no residual effects. The only side effect I have is increased urination 2 to 3 hours after a dose. I also take Cymbalta, but it hasn't caused a problem."

Zomig (zolmitriptan) for Migraine "I Was given zomig nasal spray as a test prescription from my doc. She said the nasal spray works really quickly and may be a good alternative to my max alt. I should have stuck with my instincts. After 10 years of migraines and numerous medications max alt always works. I tried the spray, it did act fast. I felt better within a half hour! But now four hours later and my migraine is back and worse than before:( I may try one more time but so far I am not impressed."

For Migraine "After 5 years of trying literally every drug prescribed by GP and neurologist this is an absolute miracle. Migraines which were so frequent and severe accompanied by constant vomiting (and lots of crying) that they made it impossible to hold down a job, go on holiday or plan anything at all, are now 9 times out of 10 knocked on the head (pun intended) by this wonder drug. I use the nasal spray which I've found works best if taken at the first sign. Also lying down helps to keep the medication in the nasal passages where it's absorbed quicker. If you throw up with migraines, don't hesitate to try it. I hope it works for you as well as it has for me. Life restored to normal. It stings a bit and tastes nasty but a small price to pay fur such miraculous relief!"

Zomig (zolmitriptan) for Migraine "Normally my migraines take a few hours to go from the inkling I'm getting one to full blown vomiting and feeling like my body is turning inside out with chills and sweating etc. After taking this at the inkling stage within mins I was throwing up and it had become a full blown migraine. It clearly ramped it up! "

Zomig (zolmitriptan) for Migraine "The side effects far outweighed the benefits. Before I ever noticed that a migraine had begun to subside I was overwhelmed with the most awful tingling sensation. It literally felt like I had a full body rash and as though something was crawling on me, mixed with the tingly sensation when your foot falls asleep. I also got very weak and nauseous, and occasionally light headed. It was dreadful. I finally decided it was easier to take my regular migraine meds and treat the actual migraine symptoms than to deal with the side effects of Zomig. The only reason I'm giving it a 2 is because it did slightly lessen the actual migraine."

Zomig (zolmitriptan) for Migraine "I have suffered with migraine for over 30 years and am now on a prevention medication morning and evening called Topamax. It really seems to help but when a migraine strikes, which they still do, I find Zomig nasal sprays a total fantastic find. Nothing has ever worked so fast or as well."

Zomig (zolmitriptan) for Migraine "I have tried a countless number of remedies and Zomig is the only thing that has worked for me. I do have a couple of side effects to mention. Sensitive skin (pain to the touch), tingling in my extremities achey joints and muscles and excessive urination. Although these side effects don't happen everytime I use it. Zomig has been a miracle for me, I have suffered migraines for 18 years. I can live with the side effects and only hope my migraines will go away with menopause like the doctors have told me."

Zomig (zolmitriptan) for Migraine "Given two of the 5 mg in nasal spray form ( at neurologist for my Rxs that control my 20 year history of cervical dystonia). Was on my second day of latest sinus headache the neuros always insist are migraines. Had them since I was a small child and they are sinus related. Spray did nothing. I got rid of it by eating hot mashed potatoes with three or more tablespoons of crushed hot pepper flakes. That was over an hour and a half of the non effective 5 mg Zomig. Hot spicy food worked instantly. Happy for those it works for...but I've often conquered mine with two gel cap ibuprofen. And or a damp hand towel in a plastic grocery bag heated in microwave and put on forehead. Mine are more stubborn over 50 years. Try other things 1st"

Zomig (zolmitriptan) for Migraine "It only works about half of the time. I’m also very reluctant to use it and often delay using it longer than I should and it would probably be more effective if I used it earlier. I’m a chronic & cluster migraines and can’t afford the cost of $400/month. I think the cost is extremely unacceptable and the government should be negotiating prices for medications. I’m on disability, having both parts A&B the f Medicare. In addition we pay out of pocket for the most expensive supplemental medical & pharmacy insurance."

For Migraine "Just wonderful. Having suffered from migraines for years a friend put me on to this. I now no longer suffer from migraines because I take a tablet when I feel one coming on and it prevents it. What a life-changer. Expensive, yes, but worth every penny. Now been using it for over four years."

Zomig-ZMT (zolmitriptan) for Migraine "Zomig ZMT works well for me, so far. 2 years on it after Maxalt seemed to be less effective. I begin vomiting and nothing can help me then, so orally disintegrating tablets or a shot is all I can do. My migraines always seemed to be hormonal, but now that I'm post-menopause, I still get them. Maybe fewer, but just as severe without treatment. Lifetime sufferer with family history (father, his brother, his sister, his mother, his brother's daughter, me, all 3 of my kids). Having these migraine medicines work is like a miracle!"

Zomig (zolmitriptan) for Migraine "I had migraines for years before I finally was sent to a neurologist. He gave me a samples of many of the prescription migraine medications that are out there now and many of them, including Imitrex, just did not work or made me really fatigued. Zomig worked really fast and I have no side effects at all. If I can take it as soon as I can feel the headache coming on, it is gone before I really realize it."

Zomig (zolmitriptan) for Migraine "I have suffered with migraines for over 40 years. I have even gone so far as having my ovaries removed to help with them. Although it helped I am still on daily medication and I still have approximately 6 migraines a month. I take zomig nasal spray when I get these annoyances. I classify them as annoyances because once I use the nasal spray the migraine will be 90-95% better in 15 minutes and completely gone in an hour. The only side effects I have had is my skin becomes very sensitive...almost as if I have bruises all over my body just under my skin, I am also tired. A 30-45 minute nap cures the tiredness."
