For Bipolar Disorder "This medication made me a fat mess. My doctor prescribed it, saying that it does not cause weight gain. I took it along with a low dose of pregabalin, and my stomach got huge due to the pregabalin as well as this drug. It made me constipated, and even after stopping pregabalin, I couldn't lose weight. I had to stop ziprasidone and switched back to Rexulti. This medication also made me super anxious. I couldn't stop shaking when I would wake up in the mornings, and even after stopping it, I still feel a sense of panic and dread when I wake up, but it's going away. Thank God for Rexulti."

For Bipolar Disorder "Geodon is really good for my psychotic symptoms, plus the weight gain is the least compared to other antipsychotics that I've tried. The only downside is it needs to be taken twice a day or the symptoms come right back, no drowsiness either!"

For Body Dysmorphic Disorder "Ok, so I was excited to start this because of the weight-neutral outcome. BUT I was hoping it would help me sleep. I was on Zyprexa for sleep but was upset with the weight gain, so I was switched to this. It did NOT help me sleep at all. I felt hyper after I took it, also had a metal taste in my mouth, and it made my stomach hurt. Started at 40 mg. Let's just say I'm back on Zyprexa and happy being having to deal with the weight gain and sleeping rather than weight loss and not sleeping. Would not recommend if you have trouble sleeping."

Ziprasidone for Schizoaffective Disorder "Geodon is a very good medication: made me nicer, and lost the weight put on by the other antipsychotics I've been on. I feel quite normal now. I'm even thinking about looking for part-time work."

Ziprasidone for Schizoaffective Disorder "Geodon has taken away some of the delusions/paranoia. Yet, it has made me angry and mean, and has caused me to gain weight. Recommend it for a short period of time - not long-term."

Ziprasidone for Schizoaffective Disorder "I've been on Geodon for schizoaffective disorder for ten years, and I have gained 100 pounds. I've lost my top teeth and had a tumor in me, but Geodon does control the voices and manic episodes."

For Bipolar Disorder "Ziprasidone made me gain 40 pounds, so I discontinued the medicine, only lost 5 pounds. This medicine made me feel bad and like I was wired. These things make you sick, do not take them. They will cause symptoms they are supposed to treat."
