For Insomnia "I’ve suffered from insomnia most of my life. I’ve taken Ambien, which worked so well, but I started waking up in the night. The doctor switched me over to Lunesta, which worked great for the past 5 years but has stopped being effective. The doctor prescribed Belsomra, but insurance wouldn’t cover it, so I'm trying Sonata 10 mg. It doesn’t work for me at all. I feel like I have a hangover with a headache, and I’m still up all night. Dissatisfied."

For Insomnia "Chronic insomniac here, and this Reclast has been a miracle drug for me. Been on a dose of 10 mg twice nightly (one before bed, another when I wake up at some point and can't go back to sleep) for at least 10 years. Reading others' reviews, I agree-don't miss the sleep window as it has a very short half-life. Best to be horizontal within 10 minutes of taking it. It knocks me out nicely but doesn't keep me asleep, hence the second pill. Can get a good 7-9 hours of sleep MOST of the time with this dosing. And there is no hangover effect for me since they eliminate within about 3 hours."

Zaleplon for Insomnia "I have had insomnia since I was a teenager. By having little sleep made me susceptible to being sick a lot as a young woman. Once I was prescribed Lunesta by my psychopharmacologist, it really helped, but over many years I became kind of 'immune' to it. My doctor recently prescribed Sonata, and I love it. It is gentle and does not leave a hangover. I take it before I go to bed, and it usually helps me right away."

For Insomnia "I saw the reviews, and thought nah, it’ll do me good. HA! Y’all were right!! I’ve been on five different sleep aids plus over-the-counter stuff. Ambien quit working. Lunesta gave me a hangover. Seroquel sent me to ICU. (Awful drug!) Remeron nope! Gabapentin no, but did help with nerve issues because of my neck. And now Zaleplon (Sonata). With the first two, I slept through the night. The others, just couldn’t sleep. So on to this... well... got to sleep, but this I swear has an alarm clock saying “WAKE UP!”"

"Overall, this drug does help me sleep. My only problem with Sonata is that I wake up feeling groggy and somewhat like I have a 'hangover.' I feel that it also lost its effectiveness the longer I have been on it. I do, however, like that it lasts for a 4-hour window of time versus the traditional 8 hours."

Zaleplon for Insomnia "Wonderful sleep aid! No hangovers. Feels like you are on a benzo."
Zaleplon for Insomnia "I have taken Sonata for over 15 years. It has been a miracle drug for me. I have no trouble falling asleep, but I wake up in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep. But with Sonata, I am out within 15 minutes and wake up with no hangover. I do not know what I would do without it."
