For Major Depressive Disorder "I was on Paxil for years. I also take both Xanax and Valium for bad anxiety. About ten weeks ago, I was so disappointed and felt the Paxil had pooped out, so I asked my doctor to change my meds. We decided on Viibryd. I started on 10 mg and eventually went up to 20 mg. My depression is worse than it ever was, and the side effects of the Viibryd are pure awful. I have constant stomach pain, gas, constipation, and a bloated feeling. My anxiety is through the roof. I am irritable, angry, and completely aggressive. My use of the benzos has increased about 50 to 70%. Just today, we decided to taper off the Viibryd completely. I know it is the Viibryd that is causing these effects. The bad feelings started within days of starting on the Viibryd. I can't wait to be completely off of this horrid medication."

For Major Depressive Disorder "Worked really well for a few months. I felt amazing. But I have been getting really angry and having horrible nightmares that make my blood pressure skyrocket. I'm only on 20 mg. It just seems odd that it took so long for these side effects to appear. I thought I had found my miracle drug, but I guess not. For those of you who need help with the expense of the drug, go download a card from the drug's website. Free then $20 a month."

Vilazodone for Depression "My wife started taking Viibryd and she got every bad side effect. Violent, angry, mania, and paranoia. That is truly the drug from hell! She would scream at me for hours and then started hitting and slapping me. I had to move out of the house and get an apartment, and we are probably getting divorced. Viibryd ruined my marriage..."
