For Insomnia "This triazolam is garbage. If you want to get a 1 or 2 hour nap, that's about all it's good for, as it wears off way too quickly. I've tried many different benzos, and this is by far the least effective for a long good night's sleep."

For Insomnia "I started suffering from insomnia when I went through menopause. I was originally on Lunesta and had memory loss problems with that. I have been taking 0.25 mg of triazolam for years. I literally do not sleep without it. I have tried, and I am up all night and cannot fall asleep. When I take it, I am usually asleep within ten to fifteen minutes. The only reason I wake up is during the bathroom, but I get back in bed and go back to sleep instantly. I do not have any problems waking up in the morning. I have noticed that I have short-term memory loss, which really worries me. I have been researching other medications, but I can't seem to find anything that I think will work as well as the triazolam. Once in a blue moon, I will not fall asleep right away, and I will take a second pill, but that is very rare. In fact, when I get close to my prescription running out, I make sure I fill it because I get severe anxiety thinking about not being able to fall asleep. My insurance covers this medication."

For Insomnia "I have now tried this medication twice. The first time, I had taken two 0.25 mg tablets with no effect. The next night, I took three, and I still could not sleep. I am still waiting on my doctor before taking any more."

Triazolam for Insomnia "This is a dangerous drug for some people, including me. I took it one night for insomnia, and it put me in such a dark place I was worried about what I would do to myself. Fortunately, I recognized that the Halcion must be why I was feeling so bad because I'd never taken it before. It wore off by the next afternoon, and I have not let it get near me since then. Personally, I don't think anyone should take it. Doctors may not know it has such a terrible effect on some people, because since that time, doctors planned to give me the drug for gallbladder surgery, cataract surgery, and a root canal. Because I always check with the anesthesiologist in advance of any surgery, I have been able to convince them to use a different drug."

Triazolam for Insomnia "My dose of Halcion was not adequate for 6 to 8 hrs sleep. I would wake after 4 hrs of sleep. The doctor added 10 mg of olanzapine to be taken at 6 pm daily. Now sleeping 8 plus hrs every day."
