For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started using Zepbound on October 31st of this year. The beginning dosage was 2.5 mg. I started to lose 1-3 lbs. a week. The dosage was increased to 5 mg, which I started on the 4th week. Current total loss of 11.5 lbs. My provider has suggested that I increase the dose to 7.5 mg for my next refill. I do have side effects: nausea, constipation, dry mouth. My appetite has diminished, but I have to make a conscientious effort to eat. Cravings for specific foods have gone as well. For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "5’ 8” and 272 was my starting stats. I did four weeks of 2.5 then went up to 5.0. I am only on my 6th week (4 2.5s and 2 5.0s) and I have already lost 30 pounds. Now, at 242, I am looking to take off another 30-50 pounds. I am trying to be put on a list to have a transplant and have to lose a certain amount of weight to make the list. I give the medication a 100% A+. If you need to drop weight, this is a great medication. Side effects: Constipation. Drink as much water as you can and be prepared to take laxatives to poo. I’m talking rock pebbles harder than pleasing a Gold-digger on a date, you’ll definitely have to take some laxatives to poo. I suggest flavoring your water. It helps. Candy: You will crave sugary candy like Gobstoppers, Sour Patch Kids, Skittles, pretty much anything you can get your hands on. For Type 2 Diabetes "I’ve been taking Mounjaro now for 4 months. I was prescribed it to treat my type 2 diabetes as well as for weight loss. Let me just say this drug has been a miracle! I started out at 268 lbs (5 ft 6 in male), I am now at 225 lbs! Over 40 pounds in 4 months! The only other weight loss program that helped me like this was the military! Now let me just say it’s not all Mounjaro, I’ve changed my eating habits and changed what foods I’m actually eating, and boom, working like a dream. My A1C has also dropped from 7.5% to 5.8%, this drug is an amazing stepping stone to a healthier life. Occasional constipation, but I'm taking fiber supplement gummies, which help with regularity. Taking 7.5 mg dosage at present. Will increase to 10 mg next refill. Stayed on low dose for the 3rd week. Was a little constipated at first, so ordered a large salad from my favorite café. Maybe that's what triggers everything. That night I could not sleep because my gout became very painful, and I had to deal with the diarrhea. I am now feeling pretty drained and weak. Generally feel a tad light-headed."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Just under 5 months. Down 36 pounds from size 16 to a 12/14. Almost 50. 5'9'. F. Started at 2.5, of course. Currently on 10mg. The biggest issue for me has been finding the medication in stock. It makes me not think of food until I'm hungry and then I eat a little something. I stay full a long time. I can only assume this is what normal people without food issues are like. I have lost upwards of 100 pounds with very hard work over a period of 2-4 years at two different times in my life. I need help this time around. Even when I was doing well with diet and exercise prior to this medication being available, all I did is think about how many calories I had eaten and how many I had left. I don't even count calories now. I have almost no interest in eating. The day before my injection is due, I am more hungry but still not eating more than 1800c. For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started on 2.5 for 4 weeks, lost 4.5 kg, forgot to eat, total loss of appetite, felt dizzy, probably because I wasn't drinking enough water. Week 5, went to 5 mg, lost just over 1 kg. Now in week 6, have been constipated, having to take laxative, will finish the 5 mg jab another 2 weeks and see how I feel. Amazing result in never hungry and, as a crisp lover, could never have another packet with all the salt, yuk! Usually have chicken fillets, chips, and bread and butter, just don't want bread at all, can only have two small chicken pieces, nothing else, and only because I know I have to eat something. Went to McDonald's with the grandkids, haven't told anyone I'm on this drug. Kids were happy as Nana couldn't finish her burger and chips. For Type 2 Diabetes "Started this 7 weeks ago and have one more injection. The first set was at 2.5 mg from the gynecologist. Within the first week, I lost 5 pounds and by week 5 I saw a huge difference! I went from a 22 waist to a true size 18 and still shrinking. I was having trouble catching my breath before I started this. I had a couple of pains in my stomach, similar to gas pains like clockwork, the day after the injection. But it was bearable. Sometimes I get a smelly burp issue. But now I have lost 20 pounds at week 7 and feel amazing. Please do yourself a favor and take fiber daily, this medicine will get you constipated."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Best method for weight loss and keeping the weight off. I've lost over 100 lbs and am finally comfortable in my skin again. When you change mg dosage, fatigue could be concerning, and it does happen. Working out helps, making sure you stay hydrated, and working out was the biggest help for me. I did have constipation, and it was managed. I did have hair thinning and started taking Nutrafol. I've struggled with my weight my entire life. Not anymore. I wish we could add photos, but we can't. Portion food sizes of what you can eat are minimized. The sugar cravings were gone. Not only did those cravings disappear, but so did the cravings for food that your body turns to sugar. For example, I haven't eaten a potato chip in over 7 months. No desire for breads, mayo, Miracle Whip, and numerous other things. I FEEL so much better. It is costly, but so is poor health and obesity. I wish big pharma would realize how many Americans struggle with obesity and cover this through insurance."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I tried to leave a review, but for some reason, it wasn't posted, so I will try again. My doctor took me off of Mounjaro recently. I developed large welts about 24 hours after I injected the 75 doses and 10. My doctor fears I am developing an allergic reaction, so I am going back to the rival insulin alternative. (I had more side effects with the Ozempic: exhaustion, extreme nausea, and constipation, but hopefully, over time, they go away this time.) Too bad, because I really wanted to stay on Mounjaro. It should be noted that I really like Mounjaro very much. Well-controlled sugar, once I was on my maintenance dose of 10. For some reason, I gained five pounds while on Mounjaro, I never lost weight, where I lost about 15 pounds on the other mentioned insulin alternative. It seems that other patients on other review sites have this welt issue too. The issue should be reported not only to the doctor, but per the request of the manufacturer, please report to them as well."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am a 55-year-old female, 5’7 starting weight 250, started Zepbound 6 weeks ago. 1st month, 2.5 — moved up to 5 2nd month. Probably the most annoying, almost immediate side effects were GERD, bloating, and constipation. However, this did improve quickly when I added more fiber, avoided high-fat, saucy foods, and ate less. I do agree with the others… that it definitely helps your “hunger-food brain.” I can skip a meal without even noticing. I fill up eating a quarter to half of what I would normally eat. I begin getting nauseated while I eat, which makes me stop eating, of course. Now that I've increased from 2.5 to 5, the nausea is a little worse, but intermittent and tolerable. Hoping this will improve once my body adjusts. Overall, still very thankful for this opportunity to try Zepbound. I'm trying to find some type of a meal plan to follow, with sufficient protein and fiber, as well as other foods or supplements to prevent muscle loss, hair loss, constipation, and fatigue."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Went to the doctor and asked for something to help lose weight. He prescribed this medication. Day 1 and 2... nothing. Day 3 woke up with horrible heartburn and sour sulfur burps and facts and was constipated. By day 3 evening, I no longer had constipation but just the opposite... diarrhea! And not just any kind, it was like yellow water and very acidic. It hurt! Had horrible gas and belching all day Saturday, and Sunday couldn't hardly leave the bathroom to go buy Imodium. Imodium helped with that, but the gas is now trapped, and my stomach hurts badly, and I am full of gas with bad heartburn and belching. I saw a correlation between fatty foods and severe side effects of this product. But unless you're a vegan, you eat fat, and that's a major problem with this product. It is now Monday night, and I cannot seem to get my work done, I hurt so badly. I will never take this product again, and I cannot in good conscience recommend it with all the terrible side effects. Shame on Mounjaro!"

For Type 2 Diabetes "I started on the 2.5 dose in October, my doctor felt that the weight loss would help with my joint pain and lower my A1C. From day 1, I was extremely nauseous, had no desire to eat, had sulfur burps, and had constipation. I spoke with my doctor, who encouraged me to ride it out. On week four, I was stepped up to the 5 mg dosage. The doctor called in Zofran for stomach issues. On week six, I called her and said I could no longer function. During this time, I was so fatigued and was having heart palpitations and was barely able to walk 20 feet without being totally exhausted. I chalked it up to being so nauseous and not eating. Then my legs started to burn like I had walked up a steep hill and felt so sore and bruised I could barely sit. That week, I had my follow-up appointment with my doctor. I told her about my symptoms, and she said that rhabdomyolysis is not a side effect of Mounjaro. I was never dehydrated, but my CK levels were still 440 two weeks off the medication! Eight weeks later, and no improvement!"

For Obstructive Sleep Apnea/Hypopnea Syndrome "Starting 4th week of 2.5 mg. It wears off some by the end of the week. Dr. raised it to 5 mg for the next month's prescription. I am down 10 lbs in 3 weeks. Appetite is now easy to control and say no to the food/snack crazies. Very slight constipation is the only side effect I have noticed. It does work but is not affordable for me. $350 for the 1st month was the vial and syringe and out of pocket. Easy to use. Insurance declined it. $499 for the 2nd month. I can't afford it. I have researched it and found that you can buy the tirzepatide peptides online for considerably less money. I may regret it, but I am going to try it. I have seen very high numbers of happy people who went this route."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I was using Ozempic, but Dr. switched to Mounjaro. It has been terrible! I lost a lot of weight on Ozempic but gained some back since being on Mounjaro. Also, my blood sugar rose 10-15 points since switching! I have had numerous side effects, mainly headaches and constipation. When giving it, it always seems to leak back out of my skin, and I've tried stomach, arms, thighs- all the same! I am not happy."

For Type 2 Diabetes "3.5 months from 2.5 mg to 5.0 mg. Even before starting 7.5 mg, my experience has been positive. Less stressful, as if my cortisol levels are low. No desire to drink alcoholic beverages. Appetite suppressed, loss of inches before any noticeable weight loss. Slow loss of excess weight. PCOS symptoms have mostly disappeared, however, when refills were not available, all symptoms almost immediately presented again, including desire to snack. Constipation is noticeable at 5.0 mg. Starting 7.5 mg now. 22 lb of excess weight lost after 3.5 months of use."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Effortlessly went from 250 lbs to 198 lbs in 9 months, with very minimal side effects! It took me this long to go through the gradual dosage increases. When I missed a few weeks here and there, I regained weight. I’ve been extra committed to the regularity of doses after that! My only side effects have been: some mild constipation (take mg citrate to fight that), very mild diarrhea, heartburn that increased as the dosage mg increased, although eating TUMS like candy took care of it (but expensive because I insist on having the TUMS that taste good to me), and injection site reactions (similar to a mosquito bite ≈ 3 days, managed with OTC cortisol cream and/or OTC roll-on 4% lidocaine). For Obstructive Sleep Apnea/Hypopnea Syndrome "I was obese and had sleep apnea. After 5 months of Zepbound, I have lost 45 lbs., and my sleep apnea has subsided. Along with starting the medicine, I started an exercise program. I walk over 10K steps a day and use lighter weights with multiple sets to maintain and increase muscle mass. I also increased the amount of water I drink. I have a 40 oz. mug that I always have with me and am usually drinking 120 oz. per day. I stopped drinking alcohol 2 months into taking Zepbound. I have more energy and feel much better than I did when I was obese. The only side effect that I experienced was constipation. I combated that by taking a low dosage daily of Dulcolax. I could have never lost the weight I have without Zepbound. I intend to keep up my exercise program after stopping Zepbound, and hopefully my weight gain will be minimal."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I started the medication in November of last year. I started with 5 mg and incrementally increased the dosage up to 15 mg. The small hypodermic needle made it easy to inject. At 10 mg, I reached a plateau with the weight loss. I eventually went up to 15 mg and stayed on that dose for 2 months. The primary reason for taking it was for type 2 diabetes, and I benefited from weight loss as I was also overweight. As of today, I have lost 35 lbs but stopped the Mounjaro about a month ago. My appetite seemed to slowly get back to normal, which is not a good thing. I also did intermittent fasting, so that helped a lot with the cravings, etc. I also get some bouts of constipation, but my diet made up for that. My urine smelled different. I pray there were no effects on my kidneys. My blood sugars are normal. My A1C is 5.2, so I chose to stop the medication and continue the weight loss journey naturally."
