Tirzepatide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am on my 4th week of 2.5 mg. Mild side effect of constipation, which I have managed with diet. Definitely reduced appetite, no desire to eat the usual chocolate, ice cream, or crisps, or late evening snacking. Then, a day after my 4th injection, I was, for the first time, suffering with wind, including the dreaded burps. Very little appetite. That was followed by a very bad bout of diarrhea, which saw me rushing to the loo all through the night. Settling down now after 24 hours. Not eaten today yet. Hoping this won't happen again, especially as I am due to increase dosage to 5 mg next week."

The biggest issue for me has been finding the medication in stock. It makes me not think of food until I'm hungry and then I eat a little something. I stay full a long time. I can only assume this is what normal people without food issues are like. I have lost upwards of 100 pounds with very hard work over a period of 2-4 years at two different times in my life. I need help this time around. It took me this long to go through the gradual dosage increases. When I missed a few weeks here and there, I regained weight. I’ve been extra committed to the regularity of doses after that! Tirzepatide for Obstructive Sleep Apnea/Hypopnea Syndrome "I was obese and had sleep apnea. After 5 months of Zepbound, I have lost 45 lbs., and my sleep apnea has subsided. Along with starting the medicine, I started an exercise program. I walk over 10K steps a day and use lighter weights with multiple sets to maintain and increase muscle mass. I also increased the amount of water I drink. I have a 40 oz. mug that I always have with me and am usually drinking 120 oz. per day. I stopped drinking alcohol 2 months into taking Zepbound. I have more energy and feel much better than I did when I was obese. The only side effect that I experienced was constipation. I combated that by taking a low dosage daily of Dulcolax. I could have never lost the weight I have without Zepbound. I intend to keep up my exercise program after stopping Zepbound, and hopefully my weight gain will be minimal."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I tried to leave a review, but for some reason, it wasn't posted, so I will try again. My doctor took me off of Mounjaro recently. I developed large welts about 24 hours after I injected the 75 doses and 10. My doctor fears I am developing an allergic reaction, so I am going back to the rival insulin alternative. (I had more side effects with the Ozempic: exhaustion, extreme nausea, and constipation, but hopefully, over time, they go away this time.) Too bad, because I really wanted to stay on Mounjaro. It should be noted that I really like Mounjaro very much. Well-controlled sugar, once I was on my maintenance dose of 10. For some reason, I gained five pounds while on Mounjaro, I never lost weight, where I lost about 15 pounds on the other mentioned insulin alternative. It seems that other patients on other review sites have this welt issue too. The issue should be reported not only to the doctor, but per the request of the manufacturer, please report to them as well."

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "Went to the doctor and asked for something to help lose weight. He prescribed this medication. Day 1 and 2... nothing. Day 3 woke up with horrible heartburn and sour sulfur burps and facts and was constipated. By day 3 evening, I no longer had constipation but just the opposite... diarrhea! And not just any kind, it was like yellow water and very acidic. It hurt! Had horrible gas and belching all day Saturday, and Sunday couldn't hardly leave the bathroom to go buy Imodium. Imodium helped with that, but the gas is now trapped, and my stomach hurts badly, and I am full of gas with bad heartburn and belching. I saw a correlation between fatty foods and severe side effects of this product. But unless you're a vegan, you eat fat, and that's a major problem with this product. It is now Monday night, and I cannot seem to get my work done, I hurt so badly. I will never take this product again, and I cannot in good conscience recommend it with all the terrible side effects. Shame on Mounjaro!"

Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started on the 2.5 dose in October, my doctor felt that the weight loss would help with my joint pain and lower my A1C. From day 1, I was extremely nauseous, had no desire to eat, had sulfur burps, and had constipation. I spoke with my doctor, who encouraged me to ride it out. On week four, I was stepped up to the 5 mg dosage. The doctor called in Zofran for stomach issues. On week six, I called her and said I could no longer function. During this time, I was so fatigued and was having heart palpitations and was barely able to walk 20 feet without being totally exhausted. I chalked it up to being so nauseous and not eating. Then my legs started to burn like I had walked up a steep hill and felt so sore and bruised I could barely sit. That week, I had my follow-up appointment with my doctor. I told her about my symptoms, and she said that rhabdomyolysis is not a side effect of Mounjaro. I was never dehydrated, but my CK levels were still 440 two weeks off the medication! Eight weeks later, and no improvement!"

When you change mg dosage, fatigue could be concerning, and it does happen. Working out helps, making sure you stay hydrated, and working out was the biggest help for me. I did have constipation, and it was managed. I did have hair thinning and started taking Nutrafol. I've struggled with my weight my entire life. Not anymore. I wish we could add photos, but we can't. Portion food sizes of what you can eat are minimized. The sugar cravings were gone. Not only did those cravings disappear, but so did the cravings for food that your body turns to sugar. Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started taking Mounjaro 2.5 mg in March of this year (2024). Every month, my doctor increased my dose to the next level. I was put on the medication to help with my A1C because it would go up and down but not at a normal number. After 3 months, it went from a 7 to 4.5. I was so happy with the result. I am currently on 15 mg and I am down 50 lbs (over 6 months) and A1C is staying at 4.5. My original goal was 30 lbs by September and 60 by next March. I am so excited that I am already close to my year weight goal loss. The only side effects that I have had were the sulfur burps, which I figured out how to control and prevent and stop. Rather than eating chips at home, I go through 6 lbs of carrots per week. I divorced French fries. Aside from that, I still eat what I want when dining out. Tirzepatide for Type 2 Diabetes "Started on 2.5 mg in December and have titrated up every 4 weeks to 12.5 mg currently. So far I have been losing 2-3 lbs a week and have lost 34 lb, and up until now I haven't really noted any serious side effects other than occasional constipation and slight nausea if I don't eat something small every few hours, or if I eat something really fatty. The last two titrations I have noticed some extreme fatigue and being cold on the first day after my shot, but then it usually starts to go away on the 2nd day and I feel better. I have also noticed that if I try to push through the tiredness and try exercising, I usually feel better. I have tried to stick to a 1200-1500 calorie diet and do eat a lot more fruits and veggies, and I feel better than I have in a long time. Overall, it’s been a good experience and I’m super excited to see how much more weight I can lose."
