"For a couple of months it was great. I was losing weight. But, my body is now doing a rejection of the drug. Nausea, vomiting, dizzy, and a change in my vision. I did lose 43 lbs. Wish I could have stayed with it. There are several drugs that my body has rejected after taking them over time."

"I have completed two months on Mounjaro and would like to share my experience. The weight loss results have been positive overall—I lost approximately 6 kg over two months. In the first month, I was on 2.5 mg weekly doses and noticed a steady weight reduction from 73.7 kg to 69.5 kg. The injections were generally well tolerated during this period. In the second month, I moved to 5 mg doses. While the weight loss continued (from 69.5 kg to 66.7 kg), the pace slowed, and I began experiencing local injection site reactions. These included redness, swelling, stiffness, and itchiness, typically appearing a few hours after administration and lasting for 5–6 days. I had to manage the discomfort using cold compresses and anti-allergy medication. While the efficacy in terms of weight reduction is encouraging, the local site irritation on the higher dose is a notable concern. Further guidance may be needed on how to manage or mitigate these side effects."

"Been on it for 3 months and have lost 16 kg. I am currently on the 7.5 mg. Side effects are indigestion and severe sulfuric burps about one day after injection. I take antacid to deal with this. In the past week I have experienced what feels like heart palpitations if I get up too quickly or exercise."

"Moved from 2 mg to 5 mg. Three days later, I'm running to the bathroom, dark liquid, 10 times to the bathroom. Three hours later, it started easing up. Didn't eat for 5 hours so far, 7 Up and a few crackers. Start week Mon, 11 am, took shot 5 mg. It's Wednesday, and now it started."

"I started on 2.5 mg, lost 5 lbs in the four weeks on 2.5 mg, not as much as I’d like considering I have been on a healthy diet, cut out all treats, chocolate, fizzy pop, crisps, etc.! Just ordered my 5 mg, due to take it on Thursday. Hopefully, I’ll see better results than the 2.5 mg! Also, had no side effects or problems using the jab so far!"

"Been going for several months. Started with 5.0 mg. Then after 4 months got 7.5 mg. 4 months later trying to get to 10 mg. Finally got some this week. I have been 280 lbs for the whole time. Never gaining or losing weight. I read in Newsweek Medical that Mounjaro doesn't start working until level 14 mg. So guess I got to wait some more months to see if I can lose some weight. It did, however, help lower my A1c to below 6.0."

"Well, I'm going to comment on the price charged to use this drug, which is supposed to last a month or four injections. Well, it doesn't, you get three injections out of it, and the remainder of the drug you cannot use. So, therefore, a hefty price of $389.99 Australian is a rip-off that works out to over $129.99. How can the average person afford it? I have spoken to other people in regards to this, and they are only getting three injections, not four. Could someone please advise what's going on, as my doctor says it should be four as well? Therefore, I cannot afford to use this product and am going to try Ozempic as it is a lot cheaper. If obesity is a health problem, it should be on the free list instead of bleeding people dry who are trying to make a change."

"So far, it is working as advertised! Very little side effects. Minimal stomach discomfort and weight reduction is constant. Hasn't hampered my ability to exercise, and I have been able to join an exercise group. That was all in phase one of the dosage. (2.0) I have just started the second phase of the prescribed. (5.0) Will keep you updated as my progress increases. My clothes are fitting me a lot differently, and my appetite has decreased tremendously. I am still able to maintain a diet that is non-restrictive, but my intake of junk food is at an all-time high! The injections are easy and have not been hard to manage."

"I have been great on Mounjaro, no side effects, and have lost 2 stone. It’s easy to inject and easy to follow instructions. You inject different sides each week. Just started 7.5."

"I’m a 68-year-old female and have lost 50 lbs from January to June 2025. Started with 5 mg injections and now am getting 15 mg injections once per week. Minimal side effects unless I eat too much or eat unhealthy foods - and then I will have nausea and/or diarrhea. The biggest benefit has been that my blood pressure went from approximately 140/90 or so to a very consistent 110/60 or slightly above that, but hasn’t been anywhere near 140/90 since a couple of weeks after I began the injections. The cost has been a bit prohibitive, and I’m hoping that I’ll be able to transition off after I reach my goal weight loss of 75 lbs (without too much weight gain) OR that there will be a generic available and covered by Medicare. I can also breathe much better after climbing stairs and feel so much healthier and am able to play with my grandkids much more! Thanks so much!"

"After starting at 2.5 mg weekly dose, the weight has steadily been coming off by, on average, 1 kg per week. In addition, there has been an improvement in BMI. After increasing the dose to 5 mg weekly, weight loss has continued. Appetite has reduced substantially due to a feeling of fullness that is greatest after dosing and eases off towards day 5 and 6. Often I don't even eat three meals a day. On day 2 after dosing, I sometimes require Vomigard to ease the 'fullness.' This medication helps with stomach emptying and nausea. Side effects are minimal as the desired effect is reduced appetite and subsequent weight loss. Constipation is an annoying side effect but can be addressed by taking extra fiber, e.g., psyllium husks. Weight loss appears to be stabilizing, so maybe I need to increase my dose."

"52 years old, 5 ft 6 inches, female, gave birth naturally to 6 children, all now adults. Started in October 2024 at 91.4 kgs, waist at 104 cm, wearing size 14-16 clothes (Australian sizes). I read all the reviews (about 500) before I started and chose to mitigate adverse reactions: (ONLY Bioceuticals brands) I took powdered magnesium 3 times a week for muscle health, daily live probiotics for gut health, daily prebiome fiber in smooth and creamy Greek yogurt with berries and prunes for bowel health. Drank lots of water and ate smaller portions for dinner at about 5 pm. I don’t have time for exercise (although I had just done a whole year of 3 x personal training a week prior to starting MJO - only losing 4 kgs!). Fast forward to June 2025, I currently weigh… drum roll… 68 kgs! My waist is now 79 cms, my upper arms have lost 6 cms, hips lost 14 cms. I am wearing size 10-12 and cannot be happier! Only occasionally did I get dizzy or constipated."

"I started the Mounjaro in September 2024. I lost 4 stone in 16 weeks. I had a break and started back on it in April 2025. In May 2025, I went to the GP with insomnia, and they did blood tests. I have found I have hyperthyroidism. I suffer from insomnia, rapid heart rate, palpitations, trembling hands, and muscle twitching. I am awaiting a scan on my thyroid and also other investigations. I am under an endocrinologist but have my appointment for October 2026."

"I used Mounjaro solely for weight loss. I did really well on it, although I am not diabetic. I did have a diagnosis of PreDM. I was able to get my A1c down to a normal number, and I lost around 50 lbs. I have not used the medication for close to two years now. I have been noticing A1c numbers creeping up, my weight as well."

"Started Dec 2024 and as of today June 2025 down 80 pounds! Started at 237 and now at 157. Have never had side effects and still on lowest dose 2.5. Have never had to go up to a higher dose. First month I lost about 25 pounds and then went down to losing 1-3 pounds every week. Every week is different but always lose some weekly. No cravings. Don’t eat much. A little bit of protein and veggies."

"According to the BMI, I was on the cusp of obesity at 189 pounds. Between January 2, 2025, and January 24, 2025, Mounjaro taken at 2.5 mg weekly injection enabled me to effortlessly drop from 188 to 171 pounds. A loss of 17 pounds in three weeks. After that, the weight loss continued much more slowly, despite upping the weekly dosage to 5 mg and then to 7.5 mg. It is now mid-June 2025, and I have lost 30 pounds. I am surprised at Mounjaro's effectiveness, and very grateful. While still on Mounjaro, in early June 2025, I somehow suddenly developed cellulitis of my left calf, which probably was not a function of the Mounjaro. I easily vanquished the cellulitis with systemic antibiotic cephalexin. I highly recommend Mounjaro!"
