For Type 2 Diabetes "I have been on 2.5 mg for 5 weeks. My starting weight was 263. I have lost 15 lbs. with no side effects. My doctor has placed me on the 5 mg dosage. Hopefully I will continue losing weight with no side effects."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "It's too early to say that Mounjaro has been life-changing, but it is certainly trending that way. My first week was a huge drop in water weight; I lost about 11 pounds. Weeks 2-4 it slowed a bit, and I'm down about another 5 lbs. I'll be starting the 5 mg tomorrow. 16 lbs in my first month is pretty darn good, I'd say. Very little side effects thus far: severe nausea, but it's fleeting; it sticks around for 30-60 seconds then disappears, occurring every two or three days. In terms of how I feel, the changes have been subtle but definitely noticeable. My appetite is absolutely gone for the first 48 hours after injection, then comes back gradually. By the 5th or 6th day, I'm thinking about food again on a regular basis. I do feel that I have more energy, and my willingness to do even small household tasks seems to be higher than it has in a couple of years. Everything just seems like less of a burden. I started at 441 lbs, and am hopeful I can get back to around 300 eventually."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I started taking Mounjaro on 9/1. This resulted in the very worst month of my life. WEEK ONE - Super Nauseous, indigestion, stomach pain for 3-4 days of the first week. My appetite went from a 10 to a 2 (which was good). WEEK TWO - I had diarrhea for 3-4 days, along with sulfur belches, nausea, stomach pain. I ended up having to take sick days and go get an IV bag to recover from the dehydration. WEEK THREE - World-class nausea and vomiting. 3 days of vomiting so hard that I ruptured my esophagus. The entire month, if I was not having diarrhea, I was VERY constipated. I lost 9 lbs in one month, but I don't know if it was because I could barely eat due to the sickness. PASS!!"

For Type 2 Diabetes "I am a 6'2", 46-year-old male who started his journey at 305 lbs. My doctor prescribed me Mounjaro 10.0 in Jan. of 2023. In Dec. of 2023, I went to level 12.5. Mounjaro, along with a balanced diet and exercising 4-5 days a week, changed my life for the better. I went from a 'Living to Eat' person to an 'Eating to Live' person. Mounjaro helps me mentally and physically. After I eat, I feel fuller longer, and I don't get food cravings. It's amazing!! I went from 305 lbs to 238 lbs. That is 67 lbs in 13-14 months. I am off all insulin. I stopped snoring at night. I am participating in 5K races. Achieving goals and having fun! Team Gavin, I treat my body like a football team - Offense - gym four to five days a week, Defense - portion control, Special Teams - Mounjaro injections once a week. For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Started at the end of Jan 24. 4 weeks at 2.5mg, 8 weeks at 5mg due to lack of supply. I've had to seek alternatives due to the shortage of this drug, but it is worth it. I've lost 30 pounds in 14 weeks and moved up to 7.5mg on my last dose. The food noise is gone. The alcohol noise is gone. Other than some nausea and fatigue on shot day, side effects have been mild and easily manageable. I wish I'd have been able to start this long ago and gotten my life back. 30 pounds to go and I have no doubt I will be successful."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I was started on Trulicity in Nov. 2018. Because of manufacturing difficulties, it was discontinued for Rybelsus in 2023, but switched to Mounjaro in late 2023, which has been very easy to take and manage. My A1c went from over 10 points to now 6.1. I have also lost a total of 40 lbs. I wish GLP-1s were available years ago, but am thrilled with my overall results. I am 72 years old and will probably be on Mounjaro the rest of my life. Thank you for this medication regimen."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I'm type 2 diabetic and was on Ozempic for quite some time and having difficulty getting my medication. My doctor changed me to Mounjaro for my diabetes thinking I would be able to get my meds. I started on the 5 mg since I had been on Ozempic. My side effects were typical slight nausea. I was trying to get my second month filled and the issues started with availability AGAIN. The 5 mg and 7.5 mg were on backorder. He increased my dose to 10 mg. I have experienced sulfur burps, but that is about it. I have not seen much weight loss, but then again I'm more concerned about my diabetes. Shame on the drug companies for dangling a medication that works to lower A1C and cholesterol and choosing to utilize it for weight loss where the insurance won't cover it. I'm not using this medication for vanity, it's for my chronic disease."

What I didn’t expect was that my bladder issues like leaking, etc. would stop. It has been amazing! I went from needing valve & bladder surgeries to complete stoppage. I hope this info will help other women with their urology issues. Even if I never lost another pound, if another Zepbound side effect helps my bladder, I’m in!!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Mounjaro for just two weeks. I've lost 5 pounds without trying. While that's nice, I am posting a very early review to let other newbies know that other than some indigestion the first two days, I haven't had any side effects. I had major constipation on Ozempic. I find taking a daily stool softener, staying hydrated, taking a Metamucil tablet daily, and taking a daily prebiotic (get the refrigerated one in your pharmacy as it has live cultures. Keep it refrigerated!). I'm on 5 mg, but I am moving up to 7.5 next week. I will go to 10 mg if there is no supply of 7.5. My pharmacist said to get my order for the 7.5 mg in at least 7 days early so they can get it in on time. They don't stock it, but they get it overnight. Just FYI, after using Ozempic and Mounjaro, I weigh less than I did 10 years ago. I've gone down 4 sizes and 4 inches off my waist since Christmas! Now a petite XL rapidly headed to petite L."

Now I have an allergic reaction, mostly on my face. Red, splotchy, hot marks all over my face. Have there been any other patients that have experienced the same reaction?"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "This medication saved my life! In the beginning, the nausea was very noticeable but worth every bit! I never really had a problem with my weight until after my pregnancies. I gained over 90 lbs with each of my two pregnancies. Being at over 300 lbs and only 5’1” was a miserable existence. I couldn’t breathe and was exhausted all of the time, not to mention pre-diabetic and very high blood pressure. It has definitely been a journey, but I stand by that this medication saved my life. I’ve lost 125 lbs. I still have a way to go to get to my goal, but I’m so happy to be alive to see how much better life can be! Here I am, almost a complete 4 months later, and down 72 pounds. Best thing I have ever done. No more snoring or waking up all hours of the night, and I have so much more energy. For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "So far, so good. Rarely get hungry and can't eat too much. Side effects: Heartburn, reflux, constipation, hair loss. I will have to weigh myself in the morning, but I am guessing I am down about 8 lbs. in 5 weeks. Just started on the 5 ml. No exercise yet. Wine and alcohol will definitely slow down the progress. Not a lot of cravings for junk. Every now and then I want something fried, but it will have you on the crapper by the next morning! Stay away from greasy food on this! And YES, the needle DOES hurt to me!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am in my 50s and I stayed on the 2.5 for 2 months and just began the 5 mg today. I had gastric sleeve exactly a year before covid, lucky me, huh? Working from home, no gym, already had depression, joint, and severe back issues. It all did not mix with slowing down and sitting down. I gained half of the weight I lost, and the high cholesterol returned. I started Zepbound on Feb 17, 2024, and lost 18 lbs by my first check-up on April 1. Very fast. My cholesterol dropped significantly. I do not have high blood pressure, but it was down too. All blood work is great. The only side effect is constipation that I fixed with Miralax. There are no food cravings or noise in my head. I get full very fast, although I have to remind myself to eat. I have dry mouth, I bought sugar-free popsicles to deal with that. I have been sleeping better, although I stay up late due to the energy it gives me."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been on Zepbound for 6 months, and it has worked great for me! 40 lbs. down!!! I only feel yucky the day after the injection, but other than that, no other concerns. I just received a letter from my insurance company (Keystone East) stating that beginning 1/1/2025, IBX in whole is no longer covering weight loss drugs. WOW!!!! :( People like myself have been waiting most of their lives for a drug like this, and here we go with corporate America. Even though I'm 40 lbs. down, I still need to lose an additional 40 lbs. just to be considered overweight and not obese in the medical world. My joints no longer hurt, and I can work out without the aches and pains. My overall health has improved so much, and I am greatly disappointed and upset with this decision from IBX. I wish everyone much luck if this will be happening to you too after the new year."

For Type 2 Diabetes "This is my fifth week, and I started on 2.5 mg and now on 5.0 mg. I have had only one side effect: dry mouth, but I lost 29 lbs in the first month. I weighed 243 lbs and now I am down to 214 lbs. If you don’t eat fried foods, sugar, or heavy carbs, you will do great. I don’t overeat anymore. Plus, I exercise, I walk 5 miles a day. I drink at least 64 fl oz of water. This medication is worth taking. I had no issues at all and feel great. I can’t wait to fulfill my journey. The key is to follow a plan. If you want a life change, this is it! I used the coupon, and only certain pharmacies know how to code it. I got lucky because my pharmacy worked with me."

I have no side effects to speak of, and the food noise is 90% gone - although it seems to know when I'm within 24 hours of my next injection. For Type 2 Diabetes "Holy side effects. First, if you eat when you take it, it just sits in your stomach and you’ll be burping it for 12 hours. The headache is insane. Starts immediately. Then you are hit with 3 days of nausea, fatigue, and just overall fatigue. Just when you start to feel better, cue the insane heartburn! It took me 5 days to feel normal again. I’ll pass on this even though I lost 5 pounds the first week."

For Type 2 Diabetes "My A1C was 7, two months. It just continued to go up. My mom and grandmother were both diabetic. I started Mounjaro 8 weeks ago. I had a lot of acid indigestion. For Type 2 Diabetes "Constant nausea no matter what I eat. Muscle weakness and tired all the time. I’m feeling mentally down. Tomorrow will be my 3rd shot, and I’m seriously hoping these side effects go away so I can get type II diabetes under control. For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been on this medication for 6 weeks and have never felt better about my body or my day. I didn't realize I could have a day where I wasn't thinking about food from the minute I got up until I fell asleep at night. I feel free to think about other things and to not be distracted by trying to have willpower to not eat. It's a huge relief. Is this what thin people feel like? People who have never struggled with being overweight? I have always thought my weight was based on my genetics, and maybe it is-but it's also my brain that literally is addicted to food. It feels like I've been released from an addiction. I haven't noticed any side effects. I tried Ozempic before this and was very constipated and had stomach issues. I don't feel that way at all on Zepbound, my stomach is fine. I'm on 2.5, it's very easy to administer, and I feel like it really works. I hope I'm able to take it for a long time, I'm sort of afraid to go back to the brain I had before taking it."
