For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Been on Zepbound 7 weeks now. Lost about 22 lbs so far with no exercise. This stuff is amazing at curbing your appetite. But beware, stick to healthy foods and minimal portions because the nausea is otherworldly. I ate too much too late in the day yesterday. I had to leave work early today for the second time since being on this med. Light-headed, profuse sweating, chills, diarrhea almost non-stop and even puking. This med is a miracle, but you cannot mess around. Take it seriously. Cut back portions, minimal dairy, low sugar and don't eat too late. I'm excited to see how far I can go on this med. So thankful I have access."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am currently taking Mounjaro. I was weighing 263 lbs in November 2023, and I have lost 93 lbs. I am at 170 now. I went from size 18 and 20 to size 12. I was on Ozempic and could not take that, it made me so sick. I have no problems with Mounjaro other than sulfur burps and a lot of gas. I have to make myself eat, and when I do, I only eat a bite of food. I am on the 7.5 dosage now, and I am so lucky that my insurance covers it, and my cost is $25.00."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I've been on Zepbound for about 3 months. I'm 5'3' and started at 167. So far I have lost 12 lbs. trying to maintain a 1,200 calorie diet. The main thing is to watch what you eat and quit when you are full. The only side effects I've seen are fatigue and constipation. The shots don't bother me at all and no nausea, thank goodness. The only thing I'm really worried about is gaining it back when I stop. Good luck to all!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I just had my 2nd shot of Zepbound and the side effects so far are that I burp a lot (lol) & feel a little tired, but nothing major at all. I can’t eat much at all, maybe a few bites, and it takes me forever to get those few bites down, then I’m full for a few hours. I have been keeping a complete diary of this. So determined. Hope this helps."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have struggled with weight loss for the past 10 years. Healthy diet, regular exercise used to work for me but stopped working, and my weight steadily increased. I became afraid of food and barely ate 1,200 calories a day. Still, the weight wouldn’t budge. Doctors told me it was because I wasn’t 35 anymore or I was insulin resistant. I was diagnosed with fatty liver, and my frustration was at its peak. I am now 60, and at my peak, I was 216 lbs at 5'10" and pre-diabetic. I didn’t feel good and didn’t like how I looked. I was able to get Zepbound approved with my insurance, and it has been a lifesaver! I am now 160 and feel better than I’ve felt in years! I’ve had minimal side effects, and I’m just grateful that there was finally something to help me lose weight. I have saggy skin and don’t care. My knees don’t hurt, and I feel great! I’m not afraid of food and even eat treats in small portions without fear of gaining weight."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "After many years of trying to lose weight only to keep gaining, I finally had enough and decided to start Zepbound last December when I found out my insurance would pay for it. I started on 2.5mg like everyone else and increased the dose monthly. It’s June and I currently take 15mg. I have lost 55 pounds. I consistently lose 2 pounds per week. I had side effects as I titrated up. I no longer have any side effects. I am still losing weight and I have never felt better. I plan to stay on this long term. My doctor is on board with that plan as well. I would recommend this to anyone that has tried everything and has been unable to lose the weight. I am 50 years old and want to be able to stay active and have little to no pain. This medicine has changed my life."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "As soon as I began at the 2.5 dosage, I modified my diet radically to mitigate or even entirely avoid the dreaded side effects of indigestion, nausea, constipation, heartburn, and vomiting. I also embarked on a free-weight program to build muscle. Fortunately, I’ve experienced none of the unpleasant side effects. I’ve titrated up after each 4-week dosage and am now in the middle of 7.5 mg. My doctor tells me I have lost more weight than most patients have at this point. I also have chronic inflammation, which extra weight exacerbates, and I’m watching carefully to see that marker decrease. That’s the good news. Zepbound has completely changed my relationship to food. I consider myself a “foodie.” That’s now behind me. I remind myself that it’s been only 10 weeks. I’m hopeful that at some point, I will be able to enjoy more of the foods that were once such a large part of my life."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I currently have renal failure. I needed a kidney and pancreas. I was on the list for both. I did all my workups, even a triple bypass. My doctor put me on Mounjaro because of my heart surgery and diabetes. The Mounjaro worked so well it fixed my pancreas, and now I’m just on the list for a kidney. The side effects of using it were a little diarrhea and weight loss. I was 300-plus pounds, now I am under 160. Plus, I am no longer needing insulin for my diabetes. It’s practically gone."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I’ve lost 43 lbs in the last 9 months. I experienced some mild hair loss (but started this in menopause, so that contributed to hair loss as well), increased heart rate, although mine was low to start, some burping, and tiredness. The worst side effect for me is the diarrhea. I have it starting about 24-48 hrs after injection. It lasts on and off for about 3 days. Overall, these side effects have been mild and manageable. The weight loss has been life-changing!!"

For Type 2 Diabetes "Started taking 2.5 last Thursday. Day 1, no side effects, day 2, mild nausea, day 3, everything broke loose! Dizzy spells, clammy sweats, severe abdominal pains, and bloating. Ended up in ER and blood pressure was so high I was at stroke level! Readings were 220/123, 187/113, 197/116, 178/112! No issues before medication! Beware, this medication is so new there is no telling how many other side effects it can have! I pray this mess gets out of my system soon!"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have used this for over 1 1/2 years now. I have never increased from the initial 2.5 dose and have lost over 45 lbs! 63 yrs old and always fought my weight. I could literally fast for a couple of days, stay on my tuna, veggies, and berries the rest of the week, exercise every day and gain 2 lbs if my week was stressful at work. This turns on a couple of hormones that just were not working no matter what I tried. I have no plans to increase this dose, but will probably need to stay on this forever. It is the key and the answer I’ve been looking for. Most every post I’m reading talks about increasing the dose, and I wanted to share that you can get there without risking additional side effects. It’s a great tool, and with all the good things we do already for ourselves, this will take you all the way! I’m about 12 pounds to my goal, now normal cholesterol levels and no side effects after the first two weeks :). It makes the journey easier when you see success for your efforts :)"

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "In 2023, I began taking Mounjaro and went from the 2.5 dosage to 10. I lost almost 40 pounds and then couldn't get it anymore! I put on 22 pounds in about 6 weeks! When Mounjaro became available again, I started again and lost that 22 pounds plus 50 more pounds for a total of 72 pounds. I have NEVER had a single side effect and have used EMMA for any constipation (but I've always had trouble with constipation anyway!). My goal was to get to 125 pounds and then gain back 5 pounds because all my life I've heard that it's a good thing to do to fill out your face. It may be just an old wives' tale, but I now weigh 127 and that's my plan. I guess I should tell my age so that older individuals who have suffered from the highs and lows of dieting and never being successful long-term will realize that we too can lose weight and keep it off. 84."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "This medication saved my life! In the beginning, the nausea was very noticeable but worth every bit! I never really had a problem with my weight until after my pregnancies. I gained over 90 lbs with each of my two pregnancies. Being at over 300 lbs and only 5’1” was a miserable existence. I couldn’t breathe and was exhausted all of the time, not to mention pre-diabetic and very high blood pressure. It has definitely been a journey, but I stand by that this medication saved my life. I’ve lost 125 lbs. I still have a way to go to get to my goal, but I’m so happy to be alive to see how much better life can be! By the way, my A1C is now normal, and the hypertension has also resolved! I’m very grateful!"

"Started taking specifically for weight loss. Starting weight on Aug 1 was 192 lbs and did the 2.5mg for a month. Weight on Aug 30 was 176 lbs! Only side effect was the WORST dry mouth - whoa! Not expecting that but it went away. It completely took away constant thoughts of eating and cravings. Weight loss was effortless. Started 5mg - 2nd week had a lot more nausea - felt like pregnancy nausea. If I was busy, I wouldn't think about it but if I thought about eating or smelled food - no thank you! It was the most intense the day after I did my shot and for the next 2 days or so. Weight after 2 months - 162.6 lbs! I'm on week 7 of 5mg and the nausea is basically gone. Weight hasn't changed for the last week."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am one week in and on the 2.5 dose. I was really afraid to start because I didn’t want to get hypoglycemia, which is something I have dealt with my whole life. (I’m not diabetic and do not take insulin, I think I just have plenty of insulin.) But I did it and am so happy I did! I am down 4 lbs in one week and have had minimal side effects. I am eating much less, and food noise is almost gone. I’m excited to keep on going! For reference, I am a 59-year-old woman, 5’ 4”, and my starting weight was 192. So far, this is like a miracle! I highly recommend it if you can get it."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "In the past year, I’ve lost 86 pounds on Zepbound—and while that alone is incredible, the real transformation goes so much deeper. I feel alive again. I’m moving more, rediscovering joy in my body, and for the first time in years, I’m not battling daily IBS symptoms. It’s not just about the weight—it’s about finally having a quality of life I never thought possible, even when I was younger and thinner. I'm truly grateful for this life-changing medication."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "This medication has given me my life back. I have been on the diet and workout train for the last 24 years, but nothing worked to lose a significant amount of weight. I did take one medication that worked temporarily years ago but left me feeling like trash, and once I was finished, the weight came back and then some. I have lost 90 lbs on Mounjaro over the last 14 months. Yes, my eating did improve because it quieted the food noise. I no longer starve myself throughout the day and then binge. Mounjaro has truly changed my life. I was giving up hope and falling into depression because nothing worked, and I didn't want to risk my life with surgery. Thank you to the makers of this medication. You have no idea how you are changing people with weight loss struggles. It's so much bigger than stop eating and working out more. I wish people would understand, and I wish insurance would approve this for weight loss. So many people are struggling. I never got real sick, sometimes a little nausea the day after."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I was prescribed Mounjaro for weight loss. I took my first 2.5mg dose on Friday, 9/16. Today is Sunday, two days later, and I have yet to feel anything different. I don’t feel full, and there’s no lack of desire to eat. I feel the same as I always have. I wonder if I did the shot right. I don’t know, maybe it takes a moment to kick in. I see people saying they lost weight in the first week, I’m not sure how that’s possible if I don’t have appetite suppression. I guess time will tell."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I'm a 53-year-old male and my weight has gone up slowly with each passing year, so the ladies at my doctor's office were telling me how they all were losing weight by taking the Mounjaro shots. I was a little bit worried at first because of the thought of having to give myself a shot. I barely felt it, so I started out on the 2.5 shots, and the only side effect I got was the burping sulfur taste. This is the absolute best thing I could have done, it's lowered my blood pressure, and I'm off the meds for that. I sleep better and feel healthier, the only bad thing is my clothes don't fit. I'm feeling better about myself. I'm now on the 10mgs, but each month I went up to a stronger dose, but I'm going to stay with the 10s as a maintenance shot. I don't feel hungry at all, I have no cravings, I have to make myself eat, and when I do eat, it's just a little bit at a time. You don't want to overeat on this or you will be sorry. I highly recommend it. A big thanks to the makers of Mounjaro. I've lost 40 pounds in 4 months."

"I started Mounjaro on July 1, 2022. I just turned 74 and was at the end of my rope with my obesity. I immediately developed a sour stomach/nausea and heartburn. But the wonderful side effect of having no appetite and not obsessing about food EVERY WAKING MOMENT was worth it. I still enjoy food, just eat less than half what I used to and no snacking. I lost 30 pounds in 2 months. I take one more injection (totally painless and easy to give) of 7.5 mg and then move up to 10 mg. My worst problem is terrible constipation. I’m working on it by using Colace, etc. but haven’t solved it completely. Since I’m on Medicare, I am paying THOUSANDS of dollars for this drug. So my savings account is decreasing but so is my weight. If I can afford it, I hope to stay on Mounjaro for one year. I still go to Weight Watchers and live by their eating plan which is very healthy."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have never had anything like this in my life! I was always small and IBW until I went through menopause. Afterward, I gained weight regardless of what I did. Nothing I tried and no program I did helped. Once I reached a size 22 on my 5'4 frame and weighed almost 230 lb, I decided to do something else. By this time, I had also become 'pre-diabetic' and was insulin resistant. I have been on Mounjaro for 7 months and am now a size 8, down 65 pounds. My blood sugars are perfect, and I feel like my old self again! The journey has been effortless, and I enjoy the foods I like, but my body metabolizes it better. I have now switched to Wegovy since insurance only covers Mounjaro if you are diabetic. I would stay on it forever, but cannot continue to pay almost $1,100.00/month for it."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am just starting this process. It has been 2 1/2 weeks on 2.5 ml. I have lost 9 lbs. I'm 55 years old, 5'7", 182 starting weight. Menopause kicked my butt, I could never lose more than 5 lbs. Negative side effects: headaches (which I've been prone to or sensitive to in the past), sometimes several times a day. I had mild diarrhea the first week and am now one week in with constipation. Mounjaro seemed to reduce my internal stomach size enormously. I don't have to remind myself to eat, like other people have said, but my body is on a delay and feels full 90 percent of the time - like I don't wake up ready for breakfast, it takes two hours to want to eat. What I do eat is a fraction of what I used to eat. For example, a small soup is plenty for lunch, yogurt for breakfast. It's definitely working for me, very happy. Good luck to everyone trying this:)"

For Type 2 Diabetes "I started Mounjaro to help control my blood sugar. I had tried Ozempic and Trulicity and could not tolerate the nausea, sulfur burps, and stomach issues. Mounjaro has been life-changing. No bad side effects. I’m not hungry, I don’t have cravings, I’m losing weight steadily, and sweet desserts taste too sweet. Many people say they’ve had bad side effects with it. I say try it as it may work for you. Just like I couldn’t use other meds that other people love. For me, it has been life-altering."

For Obstructive Sleep Apnea/Hypopnea Syndrome "Second week, as of yesterday, no side effects other than not sleeping well the first couple of nights after injecting. I’ve lost close to 5 lbs in the first week. I’ve been reading that if you experience insomnia it is because of the rapid weight loss and to try and change the time of injection. I did it at 6 PM both last Tuesday and yesterday, next Tuesday I’m doing it in the morning. The key for me if not having the side effects that many people experience is that I have been eating clean before starting the medication and continue to eat clean as well as having a high-protein meal 45 minutes to an hour prior to injection. We’ll see how it goes next week when I inject in the morning instead of the evening."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I started taking Mounjaro 2.5 mg on September 6th, weighing in at 128 kilos. I'm now on my 7th shot of 10 mg (as I stayed on 10 mg for another month over Christmas) and I weigh 106 kilos in January. This is without changing my lifestyle of exercise or food. I eat smaller portions and don't think about food half as much as I used to. It's been great up until my 6th shot of 10 mg. I would experience mild side effects of nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, sulfur burps. These tended to be spread across the board as well though, never all at the same time, and it was manageable. However, my 6th dose I felt instantly! I was nauseous for 3 days straight, vomiting, diarrhea, sulfur burps, tired, the list is endless. I was so worn out by the nausea, I couldn't sleep, eat, or drink. I took myself to the walk-in center at the hospital where they referred me straight to A&E for having a resting heart rate of 128 bpm. I was put on an IV drip, bloods taken. I felt awful and still do! Going to go back to 7.5 mg."
