For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I get yeast infections very often and can’t spend 17 dollars every time, so I got the knockoff tioconazole. I inserted it and didn't experience any burning or itching, but now I woke up around 5:30, and I can feel my vag is swollen. I know the product works, though, and I’d rather deal with this for a day than have a week of infection."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used the generic Monistat 1 (tioconazole), and for the first few hours it was great-no burning, and I fell asleep quickly. A few hours later, I woke up absolutely dying. It burned so much, and my vulvar lips were so swollen (HUGE!), so red and visibly irritated. I had to use an ice pack to help decrease some of the pain. I left the ointment in because I figured I already suffered this much, I might as well let it do its job. By the time I woke up, though, the swelling had gone down considerably, no more burning, and my yeast infection felt 90% better (I'm still using the topical miconazole from a previous package to help with the mild residual itch). So even though it's a few hours of literal torture and you will lose sleep, it did work well."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I picked this up after a few days of mild itching, no smelly discharge or anything too crazy. I inserted it, and within 5 minutes, it began to burn and itch. It is currently 4 am, and I have been awake for the last 3 hours tossing and turning. I went to the bathroom and looked at what was going on down there, and my outer labia is puffy and red. I had to pee, hoping it would make it better, but no luck. The stuff came out along with some discharge. I do not recommend, my symptoms are worse than before!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I wish I had come to this comment session before using it. Applied the cream in my playground around 10 pm and fell asleep, so far so good. Woke up at 4 A.M. to pee, and my whole vulva was red, swollen, and sensitive to touch. I had never felt anything like it, even wiping after peeing was painful. The small lips were so swollen that they were hard, stiff (not to mention the size). Now it's 10 A.M., and it still feels horrible, I can barely walk, have to sit with legs spread, peeing is a sacrifice. Seriously, don't buy this."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Went to Walmart looking for Monistat 1, but they were out, so I bought Tioconazole 1. I showered, did my regular cleaning routine, laid down, inserted it, and rubbed what was left on the outside. I immediately felt relief, the itching stopped right away, and the soreness went away. I feel great and haven’t experienced any swelling. Will most definitely recommend and purchase again if needed."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have been having some itching for a couple of days, noticed the normal yeast discharge. Went to get the Monistat 1 as I normally do. I like the one and done. I’m a busy girl. They didn’t have it. I wanted to take something ASAP. Got this instead, it was cheaper. Got home and took it. Today I just worked from bed, as I used it in the morning. It’s now 5 hours in, and I have none of these crazy burning, extra itchiness, or swelling symptoms. I would recommend it. I’m already feeling better and not itchy."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "The first time I used this product, I was completely fine. This second time, I feel like I have put hot sauce in my parts. Inserted it around 10 pm and fell asleep. By 2 am, I’m in tears. My parts are swollen, red, and burning like I have never seen before. And you can skip putting ice as it did NOTHING for me. The only thing that gave me relief was a warm shower for 30 minutes, just sitting at the bottom with a warm wash rag on my parts. After that, I kept my movement as minimal as possible, and I’m currently laying in bed at 3 am waiting it out, praying I don’t need a trip to the ER."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This over-the-counter tioconazole drug is horrible. I applied it at night, and as soon as I jumped into bed, I felt so much heat and was asking my friends about their experience, and they told me I shouldn’t have used this product. I stuck it out till the morning and found that it burnt my vagina and left me completely torn up and swollen. So I woke up and sat in the bathtub trying to get all the medication out while thinking about going to the hospital because it looked like fire was in my vagina. Meanwhile, the yeast infection continued to worsen. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT WHATSOEVER. Just having the infection is better than using this product. I recommend going to the doctor or hospital if you got the same effect that I got from this over-the-counter product."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "My vagina is worse now than the night before! I have used Monistat plenty of times, I decided to use this, and I wish I never did. I woke up at 6 am after putting in the cream the night before, and it's so swollen, red, and itchy down there I can't even close my legs, it hurts so bad! Never again!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Inserted Tioconazole 1 Day three days ago. My vagina is so swollen I’m afraid I’m going to have to go to the hospital or something. It’s unlike anything I’ve experienced before. I was hoping it was just irritated and that the medicine would do its job, but I am more itchy than ever. Do not purchase this product."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I must agree with one person that said it burns and itches like crazy, but it will be worth it. I also took this because antibiotics gave me a yeast infection. I inserted it the night before and woke feeling worse, with itch, burning, and swelling. I took a shower, and I also rinsed down there with cool water, and after an hour or two, the swelling went down and the itch went away. Discharge is gone, only a slight burn, which is fine. Trust me, I felt like the rest of them, I almost regretted using it. But now I'm glad I did."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Worst experience. I was so upset after using this. Upset at my doctor for recommending it and upset I actually tried it when I know I don't like any kind of vaginal cream or gel. The medication is worse than the infection. After using this, my vagina was burning, swollen, and it hurt to even wipe it when I pee. I wish I had just asked my doctor for the Diflucan pill. I will never use this again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I've had yeast infections before, tried fluconazole, which worked great, and even 3-day suppositories have worked very well. Now I get around, not gonna lie, but I got tested like a week ago and had a clean bill of health. I haven't done anything that would change it, and when I got some of that discharge, I knew what was up. So I figured I'd do the one-day thing, knock it out. Nah, man. I was so swollen, red, itchy, and all around in pain. Then stuff got clumpier than it had been before. Thinking that's partially because the medicine was leaking out. Anyway, all around a mess. I got a decent amount out, and it feels better, but I did leave it for like a day beforehand. Hopefully it got rid of the yeast, if nothing else, but that was pretty awful."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Horrible! Just like everybody else, I bought this product because it's supposed to be fast-working and cheap! After a couple of hours, I had bad itching. I went back to sleep and woke up to a HUGE vagina. My lips were swollen like I gave birth again. Four hours later, with an ice pack on my vagina, which is still swollen really badly. It hurts to walk! Please don't waste your money! This product should be taken off the shelves."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh my God. I had mild itching at best, so I thought I would get ahead and take this medicine. I should have grabbed Monistat. I put this in around midnight, woke up to some soreness and burning around 2 am. It is now 11:11 am the next day, and my labia have swollen to 4x their normal size! They hurt so damn bad I can barely walk. I had to cancel all my plans today, soak in a baking soda bath, and now I am laying down, legs spread eagle, praying this absolute throbbing swelling burning pain goes away before work tomorrow. This is a horrifying, miserable experience. Please, for the love of God, do not use this product!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was prescribed antibiotics by my doctor, which caused a yeast infection. My doctor told me that since I was pregnant, I could not use the normal oral prescription he usually prescribes and that it had to be over the counter. I bought the Tioconazole-1 and inserted it around 9 pm before I went to bed. I woke up at 3 am in the morning with a terrible burning sensation. I got up to use the bathroom and could barely walk from the pain/swelling in my vagina. I took a warm bath, tried to remove any medication, and lay with an ice pack between my legs until 6:30 am. The swelling did go down some, but the pain is still there. I will never use this medication again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "DO NOT USE FOR MILD YI! I had a mild YI, and my ob-gyn didn’t think that I needed Diflucan at the time. Two days later, during the weekend, I was still experiencing some mild discomfort and didn’t want to wait until Monday for my ob to call in Diflucan, so I decided to take care of it myself in fear that it might get worse. It got worse, alright! Swelling, soreness, discharge that wasn’t there, and a blowtorch to my vagina. I can’t walk without looking like there is a stick up my butt, it’s that bad. I know some are saying that this is a sign that it’s working or this happens with bad YI, but I beg to differ. Use with extreme caution and clear your calendar for the next day! Good luck!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm writing this a full 24 hours after using the drug. Yeast infections are very common for me. I was about three days into it and then I tried this drug. Expect a full 12 hours of extreme discomfort (yes, pain). I inserted at 10:30 at night Saturday. Immediately, I didn't feel much, but after laying in bed for about 10 minutes, my kitty was throbbing and burning. I wasn't too startled because this happened with drugs I had previously used. I think this YI is just extra bad. At 4 a.m., I woke and had to sit and nurse my baby. The pain was worse than postpartum. My kitty was swollen, throbbing, and burning. I spent an hour doing research to see if I was having an allergic reaction. Turns out this is the norm. I went back to bed thinking if it was still bad, I'd go to the hospital in the morning. I took the pressure off with a pillow between my legs! By 9, it wasn't throbbing. By 12, it was just sore. It's 10:30 p.m. now and I haven't had any itching, but it's sore and feels very raw. Honestly, not worth it."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used this product for the first time (CVS Health brand) and of course the warm sensation (kind of uncomfortable) in the beginning was to be expected. I read the comments of women who had TERRIBLE side effects such as their vaginas being swollen SHUT, and I hope they promptly made an ob-gyn appointment (even though everybody is different, just to be safe). I would definitely use this again! Mild symptoms, including itching and oozing out, but I feel 10x better! For $20, this worked very well."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Had a YI that was very frustrating. I thought about trying the homeopathic remedies that I have read are effective but ended up buying the Walgreens generic of the ointment that you insert. The first day I felt little relief with steady YI discharge, no smell at all, vag was very swollen and itchy. Day two: no itch, a little swelling. Day 3: little to no itching, mainly parts that feel dry. Tomorrow is day four. Question: do I wash out my vag on day 7? I think there is still a lot of medicine still inside me and just curious if it needs to be cleaned completely out."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Bottom line, this product did not cure my yeast infection. It only provided temporary relief. I didn't have any terrible side effects-just some swelling and itching. There's a good chance this product will hurt you or not work. Ask a doctor what medicine to use. Mine suggested clotrimazole three day."
