For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I always use Monistat 1 because I'll forget to finish the course when I used 3 or 7 days, lol. It burns like hell about an hour or so after you insert it. That's when the egg is breaking down and killing the yeast. I've only ever used this, so I expect the discomfort. I'd rather it hurt for a few hours than have this dang infection, though. Nope, doesn't feel good at all. But it sure does get rid of the infections. I've been using this since I was 18. I'm 31 now. I have to use it once a year, maybe twice. It all depends on my asthma steroids. Regardless of the pain, if I have a yeast infection, I go to the store for this product with no hesitation."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "It is 1:36 am, and I have never felt a more irritating pain. I have never left a review on anything before in my life, but I want to make it CLEAR that this is the worst $20 I’ve ever spent in my life. I honestly would rather have the very mild yeast infection I had than go through this intense itching for this past hour. I inserted this around 10 pm and was pleased with how little irritation there was. Watched a couple Parks and Rec episodes on Netflix and started to feel the warm sensation others have spoke about. Then, it began. It’s definitely a burning itch. I had an internal vaginal itch before taking this product, and this itching is 300 times more intense for sure. I have used 3 or 4 of the cooling wipes now, trying to soothe the itch, but I’m still very uncomfortable. I wish how uncomfortable this process is was more clearly stated on the box. I hope this at least gets rid of the infection, but regardless, I am never taking this route again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "My experience with Monistat 1 was really good. Monistat has always worked well for me. I was scared because of all the reviews, but it ended up not being bad at all, the only discomfort I had was with all of the product coming back out, minor cramps, and minor itching. I put it in as far as I could and put on a small amount of the cream before sleep and experienced itching for a few hours, but nothing major. Small discomfort during the day after, but now it’s about 24 hours after and I feel no discomfort at all!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have used the 1-day Monistat ovule before, and it has always cleared up the infection. But there is definitely an initial 24 hours where everything is worse-I'm in the middle of that right now. I took it last night at about 1 a.m., and I feel swollen and sore. Made it through the day but canceled plans tonight because I'm so uncomfortable. Hopefully, I will wake up tomorrow and the YI will be gone."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am 19 and have never had problems with my pH balance or YI. I thought my infection was a UTI at first, and I took some medicine and drank tons of water. It never went away, and I started getting red and swollen, so I decided I had a YI. I got the Monistat 1 day capsule, and I felt great after inserting it at like 9 or 9:30 pm. I'm now awake at 2:48 am with some burning and discomfort. Reading the reviews, and I'm hoping it goes away."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I took the Monistat 1 about 2 hours ago, and I'm losing it! I've taken the 3-day before, but it was never like this. I'm not sure whether to go to the ER or douche or what. I literally want to have my vagina removed right now, that's how uncomfortable I am."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I haven't had a YI in about 4 years. I wear tights and a small outfit for work, so it made the pain three times worse. I wanted it gone ASAP, so when I saw the one-day application, I decided to give it a try. I did it at night. It did burn a little, but not where I was crying or anything like that. Just to make it where I couldn't sleep because of the discomfort. The next morning, all of it had seeped out, and the discharge consistency from the YI had already started to lighten. The cream soothed the outside so much more. Didn't itch or burn or anything. Everyone's body is different. So I say if you are the type of person who can handle pain, then do it, if not, do the seven-day Monistat."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Maybe the ones that are hurting have more severe cases of YI. I took this 4 days ago, and I have had no problems. Was easy to use. There hasn't been any pain or discomfort. I'm 42 and have had two children. I would recommend this product."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I am 24 and have had a few YIs in my lifetime. I realized this morning that I was developing one and knew that I wanted to take care of it ASAP. I decided to buy the Monistat 1 and applied it around 10:30 a.m. Around 11:30, I began to develop a mild itch (only slightly more so than from the YI itself), and it is slowly starting to subside and get better. The highly concentrated dosage will undoubtedly cause some discomfort for some people, however, the pros of having only one dose outweigh the cons for me, personally. I did use one wipe before inserting the ovule and then used the cream immediately after."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I started experiencing a little discomfort. I used Monistat 1, put it in at night, went to bed, and woke up the next morning with a little tingle and mild burning feel. By 7, the burning was gone. I could feel it had finally melted and begun to work. Would use again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Guys, do not go through this amount of pain. I put this in around 8 and went to sleep, no problem. It's currently 2:45am, and I am in agonizing pain. I mean, like WOW, it's on fire! So, so, so uncomfortable. I'm unsure how to relieve the pain and may have to go to a med express, so please just save yourself the pain."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I’ve never used this stuff before, but I tried it anyway. I see a lot of reviews on here for some type of unbearable pain after insertion and releasing the ointment. I have endometriosis, and I am VERY sensitive to anything going on “down there.” I must admit that this was uncomfortable at first, but not unbearable. Just prepare yourself for what you see in the toilet after this stuff does its job, it’s gross."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "NEVER EVER AGAIN! This is my 1st YI, compliments of antibiotics. I had stopped taking the antibiotics when the symptoms started 4 days ago. I took AZO yeast for a few days, and although the itch was better, the discharge didn't stop. I got Monistat 1 ovule. I inserted it approximately 2 hours ago, and I've been crying in the bathroom for the last hour to an hour and a half. The burning is excruciating, and I have a high tolerance for pain. I can't sit still because it's so badly burning and itching, I'm going out of my mind. I tried getting it out. Topical cream hurt too, I had to wipe it off immediately due to discomfort. I'm debating going to the ER, that's how bad. A cold wet washcloth helps at the moment."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I bought Monistat last night for some itching I've been having. I've never had a yeast infection, but I knew it was because of the symptoms I was having. I showered and put in Monistat at around 10 pm and went to bed. I woke up around 4 with discomfort but went back to sleep. I woke up at 7 for work, and the pain is unbearable. I wish I had read the reviews before. The burning is so intense, and the itching still remains, it basically made it worse, and now I don't know what to do... I will NEVER use it again. Everyone's different, so it won't burn some people, but honestly, I wouldn't take that chance if I were you!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I didn't read any reviews on the product until after I had already inserted it, but my friend was just talking about how she used it, so I trusted it to work. I was laying in bed on my phone during the time that I read everyone saying how painful Monistat was, and at that time I didn't feel anything. About an hour later, I started to feel a little discomfort, and as the night went on (I was out and about), the burning started. I came home later that night, took a hot bath, and went to sleep. The hot bath made the discomfort go away, and by the time I woke up, I felt no pain or itching. So basically, I don't recommend taking this at any time other than when you are sleeping. I'm sure I would've slept through the pain otherwise. The product works!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "So I just used this product today. I had never had a yeast infection before, but I really needed to get rid of it. I'm at college and couldn't wait to go to the doctor. I will admit that my vagina is extremely itchy and uncomfortable. The thing is, I don't have any more yeast-looking stuff around my vaginal area, all that is there is the medicine itself. While I'm in a lot of discomfort, this product does work. You just need to live through the pain and get rid of the infection."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This is my first yeast infection, and so I bought the Monistat 1-day ovule. It was very uncomfortable to put in, and it felt like a marble was sitting up there. No more itching or burning than what was already going on, but because it was so uncomfortable, I wasn't sure that I put the ovule up far enough because about 2 hours later the ovule seems to dissolve and come out. Definitely will just deal with the 7-day gel one next time and will probably end up going to the doctor anyways."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I only wish I had read the reviews before that fateful moment I inserted the egg of fiery hell. Ladies, if you are reading this... PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO NOT USE THIS. And I thought the original yeast infection was painful. I would have rather stuck it out for a couple more days using a different med. I bought this because it said 1-day and that you could use it during the day and still go about my errands. Well, an hour later and I’m in bed with an ice pack on my lady bits, eating whatever snacks I can get my hands on. I already sat in the shower and washed it off. Thank goodness it’s a Saturday, 'cause if I was at work, I would’ve had to take the day off. This is the most uncomfortable panging, itching, burning I can’t even describe, but trust me, it is definitely not worth the 1-day fix (if it even works in one day... I guess I will find out). I just hope this feeling goes away as soon as humanly possible."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Popped the ovule pill in, fell asleep, and woke up in total discomfort. I had no idea what to do, so I jumped in the shower to get as much of the medication out as possible. I placed a tampon in and let it sit for two minutes and pulled it out. That seemed to work. I won't purchase this treatment again. This medication has to be the worst... Advice: Try a longer treatment plan because clearly it's too concentrated for the vagina. :/"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Serious burning. I was running around the house in pain and discomfort. I thought I would have to go to the doctor. I am emailing the doctor tonight. This is worse than before I used the ovule. Seems more itching now. I'm seriously wondering why I did not see the notes from other ladies before I spent $25.00. The cost is really not it, it is the pain and lack of relief. I can't go to work like this seriously tomorrow!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Used as directed. Itching mostly gone, but a burning sensation arose. Ignored it and slept, only to be awoken by a very intense discomfort on the vulva. The internet entries were submitted over a year ago with no solution. Twelve hours after initial application, I am very uncomfortable doing anything and everything. Sitting, walking, doing nothing hurts and now burns. The burning doesn't hurt, moving anything more than 1 cm in my chair or walking is horribly painful. So I decide to examine the area and discover a swollen and terrifying area that no longer resembles a labia. Nothing has ever taken a huge toll on my self-esteem and body than this. See your OBGYN, unlike my dumb a**, I might be allergic to the egg part. Twenty-four hours later, a little less swollen."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Oh my God. I inserted this about 20 minutes ago, and I can honestly say this is the most discomfort I've ever felt in my entire life. I'd rather have my vagina ripped out of me than continue on with this insanity. I will never buy this again, it's like a demon released a colony of fire ants inside of you."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Well, I took this last night! While the itching has subsided, I have burning and continue to have burning. I would not recommend this product again. I wouldn't say it's unbearable, but I'm pretty uncomfortable. It has not been a full 24 hours now, but at least 12, and I'm still burning. Consider other options before using this product."
