For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had some irritation and discomfort from a YI. I've used Monistat 1 day in the past, so I purchased it again in hopes of getting relief as I've gotten in the past. Instead, I got the worst itching and burning my vagina has ever had. After reading the reviews, I became very concerned and tried to wash as much of this product off as I could. I pray this medication doesn't cause any serious problems. I can't even sleep because the burning is so uncomfortable. Sooo disappointed. I DO NOT recommend this product even though I've used it in the past to cure my YI."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Uncomfortable first day or two, by day three, it starts clearing up. Day four, little to no symptoms, by day five, completely gone. As a first-time user, I was cautious and hesitant about using OTC medicine. If you can get past the uncomfortability of the first two days, then you will do just fine."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I experienced the same major discomfort as most about 2 hours after inserting the ovule. It was really uncomfortable for about 3 hours. I had to lay on my bed and basically not move for that time, but after that, the itching and burning subsided, and I feel great now."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I had really bad burning, itching, and discomfort going on once my period came. I immediately knew it was due to an overload of sweets, and my mom always strongly recommended the 1-day treatment. After inserting the ovule, I felt a bit relieved, but the external medication is very highly irritant to my vulva. Apparently, the medicine is kicking in, making it highly intense, almost unbearable to withstand. After a day or so, no more itching! It hurts, but if you want to kick a yeast infection's butt, it works! :)"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "This was the worst medication I've ever used for a yeast infection. I'm usually prescribed the Diflucan or fluconazole, which are wonderful and fast treatments. After missing my doctor's appointment, I decided to try this for the first time. After an hour of insertion, it burned so severely and drained on and off all night. Even days after, I still felt so much discomfort, so I went back to the doctor's to get the Diflucan. I'm okay now."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ok, decided I had a yeast infection, so I went to the store to avoid going to the doctor. Found Monistat 1 and was pleased that there was such a thing to make it go away fast. I inserted the egg at about 11:30 pm last night and felt completely fine. At about 4:30 this morning, I started to feel some discomfort, so I went to the bathroom. I sat on the toilet for about 20 minutes in horrible pain, itching and itching. I came back to bed thinking it would just go away. Nope. I'm laying here in such pain, it's 5:30 AM and I have a heating pad in my crotch. I would never recommend this to someone, and I am suffering. Usually I read reviews, but I didn't this time and wow am I regretting it. Do yourself a favor and don't get this stuff."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "My birth control gives me occasional yeast infections, and I have tried seven, three, and one-day treatments. The Monistat 1 day was my last attempt, and it works like a charm! I was scared reading all the reviews, and I was expecting excruciating pain. I applied the ovule at 10 pm and woke up around midnight to mild itching and burning. It was uncomfortable, but nothing I could not handle or could keep me up. The next day, I no longer had symptoms. Would recommend if you don't mind being uncomfortable for a few hours."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "DO NOT USE. I noticed my symptoms during a holiday weekend, so I could not go to my doctor for a prescription of Diflucan as I usually do. I bought the Monistat. This product made me feel worse after using it. My poor vagina was burning and swollen after use. I was so incredibly uncomfortable that I could not sleep at all. I woke up in the middle of the night and soaked in the bathtub with apple cider vinegar and water. I researched natural home remedies and ended up making a suppository with coconut oil and tea tree oil. It helped soothe my poor vagina from the horrible burning and discomfort caused by the Monistat. I will never use Monistat again. Ever. Never. Nope. NEVER!!! I wish I would have paid to go to urgent care instead of enduring this horrific experience. Ladies, if you love or even remotely like your vagina, DO NOT use this product. I would not recommend it to my worst enemy."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "If I could give this a trillion for a rating, I would. I took this at 12, hoping to cure my YI and really wanting the regular irritation to go away. Around 1 o'clock, it hit me like someone lit a match in my vagina. The burning and itching are indescribable. I had to have someone pick me up and was trembling and crying. THIS BOX NEEDS TO HAVE A LABEL ON IT EXPLAINING THIS REACTION!! And there's basically nothing you can do but wait it out. After 3 hours, I started feeling better, but it still burns SO MUCH. I bought AZO yeast infection oral capsules to take orally to help relieve the pain, so hopefully it helps. I wish I saw these reviews BEFORE taking it. It IS NOT WORTH IT. Unbearable pain and discomfort."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I bought this in a Walgreen, thinking that I would have relief, but instead, my vagina started to burn and itch really badly. It was burning and itching without any control for about 3 hours. I had to wake up because of discomfort. Then the burning and itching sensation started to go mild. I am hoping it's worth it and that the burning and itching goes away. But I am definitely not buying it again. The burning and itching got really worse after I applied this medication. I hope it works."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Took antibiotics about 2 weeks ago, had slight sensitivity on my lips during sex two times, didn't think much of it until it burned when I peed after sex. Took some probiotic gummy for a few days, hoping it would just go away. It's been a week now, this morning, super itchy and uncomfortable with the tiniest bit of discharge, I decided to buy this product. Inserted it at 9:30 am at work-on and off burning, not too itchy, I've just left it alone. Peed twice so far, a bunch of white discharge now. Second pee, I had a little bit of blood on the wipe when cleaning up and reapplying cream. 4:30 pm still mild burning enough to notice, not too bad. 6:15 burning slightly more. 8 pm burning stopped. 9 am no burning, no sensitivity, still discharge, but it works."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Am I going to die? I put this in around 12 am and went to sleep. I just woke up at five am to the worst, most itchy vagina ever and called my mom and cried because it’s the most uncomfortable thing ever. I would rather break my arm. This sucks so much, and I don't know how to get rid of it, I am trapped at college, it sucks. This is awful. Don’t take this unless you absolutely hate your vagina and love discomfort. I've never reviewed anything but have to review such an awful thing to save girls in the future."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I have had yeast infections before. My doctor would always give me the 1 tablet for my yeast infection, but it never seemed to work, so I decided to try Monistat last night since I knew for sure I had a YI. I inserted the little egg at around 11 pm. About an hour later, I started to feel some serious discomfort. I started to get nervous because of the extremely uncomfortable burning. I read some of the reviews and decided to stick it out for a couple of hours. I took another shower with cold water, which helped a lot. After 1 1/2 hours, the burning faded away. I woke up the next day and had no symptoms of a YI. Yes, the experience was painful, but it did the job!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "After reading reviews about it, I was very skeptical. I noticed the YI about a few days ago. I decided to go with the ONE day because I felt like it'll be a faster process. I inserted the ovule, and it felt weird. It was slightly uncomfortable, and I had to lay down because I felt like it was coming out. (It wasn't, by the way, it just felt that way.) So I went to bed and was scared I was going to wake up screaming. But nope, I woke up, no pain, no nothing. I feel a lot better down there. Thank you, Monistat 1."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Inserted the medication, within two hours, I was ready to crawl out of my skin. I itched so badly that I wanted to tear my private area out. It burned and itched so badly. I will never, ever use the product again, it was so horrible and uncomfortable."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I went to purchase Monistat 1 and bought the Monistat 1-day Tioconazole 300 mg pre-filled applicator, as opposed to the Monistat 1-day Miconazole 1200 mg ovule, just by chance and not knowing the difference between them. Only after I used the applicator did I look up Monistat 1 and found these horrible reviews! Most people on here seem to have intense burning and itching for hours with the 1200 mg ovule. I have had no problem with the Tioconazole 300 mg pre-filled applicator. I was super worried after reading all of these reviews, and I don't know if the 1200 mg ovule would have caused the severe burning for me also, but the pre-filled applicator was fine. It felt slightly uncomfortable and felt slightly 'warm' for 15 mins, but that's it!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Please, please don't use! Omg, I wish I found this before inserting the goddamn ovule! For two hours already, I'm in the worst imaginable pain and discomfort! I'm out of my mind! Trying to endure, hoping it will subside, but seriously considering rinsing/removing this curse of 'medicine' I paid almost $20 for!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I just used this product about 45 minutes ago. So far, so good! I have a little bit of discomfort, but that was there before I used the product. I had a lot of white discharge before use! (Due to yeast infection.) I recommend this product. On a scale of 1-10, the itching and burning is only about 3-10! If it works fast and properly, I'd highly recommend!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Ok, so I have a minor yeast infection. I bought the Monistat 1, and I'm doing just fine. All these posts I see about burning intensively are crazy, maybe you are allergic to the product or you have something far worse than a yeast infection. We are not Ob/Gyns to diagnose anything. Anyway, ladies, my Na Na feels just fine. Just use a panty liner to catch the medicine coming back out. There's minor discomfort because I feel the meds working, but all this itching and burning excessively is not my experience."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I took Monistat 1 earlier today and began feeling intense burning about 2 hours later. Very uncomfortable and painful, so I googled 'Monistat 1 burning' and arrived here, now reading all the reviews. At least I know it's somewhat 'normal' for it to feel like this, but all the same, I will never use the 1-day treatment again and would not recommend it to anyone else. It's been about 4 hours since I took it, and I'm wondering how long before the burning will ease up, *sigh*"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I'm 18 and only use Dove soap to wash myself up. However, I ran out one day, so I began using Olay for about 3 days. Out of nowhere, I began itching, and my private area was extremely irritated. So I actually got Monistat 3, not 1, but I still had a horrible experience. I applied it around 9 pm on day 1 and went to bed. I woke up around 2 am with terrible, terrible itching and burning. I looked at these reviews and couldn't stop crying. I quickly jumped in the shower and rinsed it all out! After that, it was still slight itching and discomfort. So now, at 3 am, I'm icing my vagina and praying for the best. I will never look at this product again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I too, just like the others, used Monistat 1 day before I read the reviews! I too experienced a great deal of discomfort to the point that I wanted to scratch my insides out. Fortunately, it only lasted for about 2 hours. Per some suggestions on this review, I tried plain yogurt and an ice pack. Now it is morning and I am still feeling a slight pain and burning, but tolerable. At first, I was standing and sitting, and then I lay down for the night. I think this product is best taken at night, so you can lay down. If you experience the very negative side effects, call your doctor and don't wait. My doctor said that this medication is very strong and that it used to be what was given in RX strength. He suggested hydrocortisone or cortisone on the outside only."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Bought this for my wife. We read the reviews AFTER applying... Oh boy. Her vag caught fire within about 20 minutes. I would like to shove this up the person's anus who approved this dosage and let them take it for a ride. We had to arrange the covers so it covered our whole body, but allowed her butt to hang out while cold air was being blown on it from the window. Meanwhile, I am shuttling ice up and down the stairwell for her to apply, trying to figure out just what the hell I have gotten myself into."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Honestly, I inserted this application right before going out, so around 9:30 pm, about 15 minutes later, intense itching had started! It didn't subside until an hour later when I peed, and then it was bearable. I woke up this morning and feel completely fine, so I feel like it did its job. If you aren't super sensitive and can withstand extreme discomfort like an hour and a half, then do it!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "My experience with Monistat 1 was really good. Monistat has always worked well for me. I was scared because of all the reviews, but it ended up not being bad at all, the only discomfort I had was with all of the product coming back out, minor cramps, and minor itching. I put it in as far as I could and put on a small amount of the cream before sleep and experienced itching for a few hours, but nothing major. Small discomfort during the day after, but now it’s about 24 hours after and I feel no discomfort at all!"
