Tazarotene topical for Acne "I love this stuff. Only been using for a few weeks and already getting good results. Acne marks are fading, pimples shrinking. It definitely does dry my face out, but if you exfoliate and moisturize, you'll be fine."

Tazarotene topical for Acne "Love, love, love Tazorac. Been using this for almost 2 years, and I went from having horrendous cystic acne to having none! After trying so many oral medications, they did nothing but fix my skin in the short term (acne came back right after oral medications stopped) and caused long-term digestive issues. Tazorac is the only thing that keeps my skin clear and has minimal side effects! The only side effect I've experienced is dry skin, but just put extra moisturizer on, and you’ll be fine!"

Tazarotene topical for Acne "This might work for some people, but I did not have a good experience with this topical. I was told to mix a pea-sized amount with a heavy moisturizer and spread it all over my skin. Initially, this was okay, but then my body broke out into a small bumpy, irritated-looking rash almost a week in. I immediately went to the doctor, who told me that I had a mild case of eczema due to how aggressive this cream is and how sensitive my skin is. She recommended discontinuing it until my skin improved and then only using this once a week until my skin 'acclimated.' Well, kids, the rash went away, but my skin never adjusted to even weekly use. This would make my skin dry, red, stretched, and irritated. Consequently, my acne did not improve at all. In fact, I think it may have exacerbated the problem."

Tazarotene topical for Acne "I used Fabior foam after years of using Tazorac cream for cystic acne and scarring. I noticed after using this product for 3 months that my scars look worse. The scars look deeper, and my skin is constantly dry. The foam was just as effective as the cream with controlling my cystic acne. I’m going back to using the cream. Just wanted to share my experience in case someone else may be experiencing the same thing. I won’t refill the prescription and wish I’d never switched from the Tazorac cream."

For Acne "Dryness is a huge side effect. I couldn't tolerate the drug for more than 3 days. The itching, burning, dry skin, and rash were NOT worth its supposed benefits. Everyone is different, but I personally would not recommend it. With how painful it is, I'm actually surprised by the higher end rating. Maybe some people can tolerate it better than others."

Tazarotene topical for Acne "I've battled cystic acne for years. I've been taking spironolactone for a few years, and it had worked great. My acne was gone, I was working on my scars. My acne came back recently, and it's been terrible. I was prescribed Arazlo, and just like many other people, it has made my skin worse. I understand there is a purging period, but this is too much to tolerate. My skin gets new inflamed bumps daily, clusters of whiteheads, intense itchiness, severe dryness, redness, and flakiness. Literally, everything bad could happen to your skin. I am going to stop, as I don't see the value in continuing, and my face progressively gets worse. This is more than just a 'purge', it's destroying my skin."
