"I have been taking solifenacin for about 2 months. It totally helped my dripping and nighttime visits to the bathroom, but I realized my head felt funny. Not a headache, but like something was wrong, like a 'full' feeling in my head. It kind of felt like an allergy head. It is hard to put in words. I stopped taking the meds 2 days ago, and today my head is back to regular. Did anyone else experience this? I will go back on it, but not if the head issue comes back."

Solifenacin "Do not take if you have high blood pressure. It shot mine through the roof... 215/135. Please monitor your BP. Other than that, it did help the urinary incontinence when I stand up. I did not leak very much at all. The headaches associated with the increased blood pressure were unbearable. The dryness in my sinuses was annoying but manageable."

Solifenacin "I have been using VESIcare 10 mg for more than 3 years. They helped me a lot, I live with them without worries. Before that, I tried various pills, and none of them helped me like these. I don't have any side effects. Urination problems when laughing I have had my whole life, though they help me, I hope I won't need to use them my whole life."

Solifenacin "This drug VESIcare gave me uncontrollable diarrhea. It really affected my quality of life. I couldn’t walk my dogs without suddenly feeling like I needed to use the bathroom. Same with grocery shopping. It’s like the more I walked, the more I needed to use the bathroom. I did not find this drug to be very effective for urinary incontinence either."

"Prior to taking this drug, solifenacin, I was in terrible pain. Too afraid to remove myself from the toilet. This drug has helped me so much, I can't say enough about it. I have MS, and incontinence is one of my symptoms."

Solifenacin "I have had similar experiences to others here. It worked, but my eyesight became bleary. My eyes were dry and teary. So I stopped. Years later, I realize how bad my hay fever is now from about March through September. Mmm, just saying because I am going to try taking VESIcare again and have bought some hypromellose eye drops at the same time."

"My doctor put me on 2 different medications, which had little effect. And even if they had worked (which they did not), my insurance didn't cover the cost of either of these, which was astronomical. I went online and found this generic, which brought the cost down to 2.5% of either of the first two my doctor suggested. And it worked very well. I do get dry mouth and constipation, but these are manageable side effects and worth it for how it has helped me. Now instead of having to urinate every hour or so, the intervals between urination are more like 3 to 4 hours. I finally feel like a normal person again thanks to this drug."

Solifenacin "I've had stress urinary incontinence for over 2 years and never considered taking meds, pissed myself like every week and never slept good because it made me wake up like 2 or 3 times a night, plus having pain in my bladder. Started taking VESIcare 5 ml 5 months ago. Honestly, it's really good. I started seeing changes since the first month. I piss myself rarely now and don't wake up at night, maybe just once a night. I'll continue using it for 5 more months, maybe more. The only bad thing is the side effects, which are so annoying to me: really bad constipation, blurred vision, stomach pain, bad headaches, bad drowsiness, and fatigue, which affects my life because it makes me unable to do anything in my day, plus dryness. Me and my doctor still can't figure out the reason because it started when I was only 15. But anyways, it's a good med, just bad side effects."

"I have been taking solifenacin for 2 days. It totally helped my dripping and nighttime visits to the bathroom, but I realized also that my head felt funny. My head felt not like a regular headache but like a migraine headache, with the back of my neck feeling stiff and hard. I never had this feeling with Vesicare 10 mg. Solifenacin succinate 10 mg tablets took care of my urinary problem better than Vesicare 10 mg tablets. No leakage problems with solifenacin, but those side effects were just horrible. I will try to finish this 30-day trial period of solifenacin due to a medical insurance demand. Just hoping my body will adjust to this medication soon. Hoping also that the headaches will disappear. Remedy for the headache problem: took a 240 mg aspirin tablet and gave my temples a massage to get rid of the pounding headache last night. Praying that those head issues will not come back. I will stop taking this medication ASAP if the headaches return. Did anyone else experience this?"

"It's been 4 days my father is taking it, and we see no improvement. Although the doctor said it will take 2 weeks for it to show some results, so far there are no results. Let's see what happens. Dizziness and dry mouth are caused by this drug."

"Started having urinary leaks a few years ago. Dr. prescribed Myrbetriq, so then constipation joined urinary incontinence. I stopped. Dr. said do Kegels and the leaking will stop. I could probably bench press a rhino with them at this point, but not only does incontinence continue, it gets worse. Dr. tells me to wear tampons to apply pressure from the inside against the urethra. Slows things down for a time, but in control is like 'oh, you challenging me?' and kicks it up a notch. I go through 2 more Drs who tell me I need a urethral sling, which I got. Still leaking with almost every step I take. The surgeon prescribes solifenacin 5mg. 4 weeks in and no change. I requested a 10mg dose. Day 2, no change. Back history: 2 vag births (6 lbs & 10 lbs resp - I am a small framed person, so it was difficult to carry and deliver #2). I have also had 5 hernia repairs. The surgeon suspects I have a connective tissue disorder, but that's not been proven. I am too young to spend the rest of my life wetting my pants. Please help me!"

Solifenacin "I have used VESIcare for over nine years. Only recently did it become ineffective. Also, I have glaucoma, and my eye doctor said I was just fine to use it. I had no side effects, maybe a tiny bit of vision blurriness, but nothing significant, and my eyes adjusted; I also attributed it to the glaucoma and cataracts, which have since been removed. Within the last few months (after nine years), I have had several accidents, which I attribute to stressful situations. My doctor has decided I need to try another drug (I am SO anti-drugs!) that he feels will be more effective. He gave me a week's samples. I will try tomorrow. Yes, VESIcare used to be $45 a month; now, it's $135. The new drug -$140. I am blessed to afford it. So worth it."
