"Diagnosed with cervical myelopathy and have battled severe urinary incontinence and urgency problems for years. Finally had enough and made an appointment with a urologist. After a urodynamic study, he prescribed solifenacin. It has made a huge difference in controlling the urges to the point where I hardly ever lose any urine! Minimal side effects and just really pleased with the results."

"For neurogenic and OA bladder due to myelomeningocele. Using it about three years. I take it for about 9-12 months, then rest for 1 month, then start again. It's the best medication that is useful for me. First time that I used it, at least 6 months, it worked excellent. Really a miracle! Four hours without leaking or incontinence. Because of some reasons, I stopped it. After that time, I used solifenacin again, but it can't completely cure my problem, only for 2 hours or maybe 2.5 hours, but I like it. Side effects: dry mouth, dry eyes. Dry mouth 2 times a week and dry eyes 1 or 2 times per month, only for 10mg or more. I try Botox injection. My bladder capacity increased 2x, but nothing happens for my incontinence. I suggest to you the best way when living with OAB is using CIC + medication (solifenacin, etc.). Most of the drugs in Iran are cheap. It costs $1.32 for me. Yes, they are expensive for you out of Iran, but they are a very low price for us here."

"I have interstitial cystitis (IC) driven by pelvic floor dysfunction. I haven't seen any reviews on here for this medicine to treat IC, so I thought it would be helpful to write one. This medicine does what amitriptyline does (near remission feeling)! but with pretty much no side effects. I do take an SSRI also, which helps get me out of the nerve pain cycle, however, it is night and day with just an SSRI vs. solifenacin and SSRI. If your IC is pelvic floor driven, according to my physiotherapist, it is likely that the detrusor muscle is hitting a brick wall, the muscles. As this relaxes this muscle to have to work better, combining this with stretches helps so much. I have given this an 8 as OAB meds are hit and miss for IC, and I do worry it may stop working one day or its positive effects will come back if I don't take the medicine. I am on 10 mg."

"I began taking solifenacin 2.5 years ago. At first, I struggled with side effects (dry mouth, constipation, anxious feeling). My doctor advised me that if I could handle it for a few weeks, those side effects should die down, and they did. I have MS, and my bladder has taken a hard hit, feeling like I always have urine in my panty liner, and feeling dirty sucks. It still happens here and there, but nothing like it used to. 6 months ago, my insurance stopped approving it. I tried other meds, and they were terrible! Finally got insurance to let me go back on this, and I’m so grateful!!!!!"
