Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "On Ozempic for 6 weeks now. I had two pancreatitis-type pains in my upper abdomen and back. I am extremely tired a lot. I have had low blood sugar under 4 a couple of times and loss of appetite. I get dizzy and lightheaded at times. I am hoping these side effects are temporary. It does curb your appetite, most definitely."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I am a 68-year-old male with Type 2 diabetes. I tried Ozempic .025 low dose, to also lose weight. Have been on it for 5 weeks and have had an upset stomach and constipation since the beginning. Only lost 6 lbs. To me, the side effects of always feeling sick and not hungry, which for me led to tiredness and fatigue, even though I take vitamins, is definitely not worth it. Blood sugar went down below 100 for the first 3 weeks but has gone back to upper normal, 140-150 since then. Not worth it to feel sick all the time. I am quitting this stuff."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I have been on Wegovy for 10 weeks and haven't lost any weight so far. My appetite isn't suppressed like it's supposed to be. I'm not sick or nauseous, there is no effect on me other than being tired. I'm wondering if it will start working any time soon. I'm on the 2.4 mcg strength, which is the highest."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "6-7-2022: I am about to start my eighth week on Wegovy: first four weeks at 0.25 mg, second four weeks at 0.5 mg, and starting 1.0 mg this week if I can get the medicine. My pharmacy is having difficulty getting it. The first week was difficult. I started on a Thursday evening and had diarrhea for two days straight and accompanying upset stomach. I took Friday off from work and was sick on Saturday. On Sunday, I felt better but very tired and stayed in bed all day. I was feeling better by Monday and Tuesday. Since then, few side effects. I lost 5 lbs. the first month and 7 the second, averaging my doctor's goal of 6 lbs./week. I'm so glad to be moving in the right direction. I'm 5'2" and weighed 260 at my highest. I lost 30 pounds a couple of years before COVID hit and had kept it off (a major triumph) but had gained back 10 of those pounds before starting Wegovy."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I started Ozempic at the end of March 2023 for overall better A1C control, weight loss, and reduction in cardiovascular risk. Started at 0.25 mg for the first week and increased to 0.5 mg since. For the first month, I had strong nausea, lightheadedness, and significant constipation with abdominal discomfort. I also felt very tired all day, which I found was due to not eating enough carbs daily, as Ozempic tends to significantly reduce the appetite. I stuck with it, and after one month at 0.5 mg, the only remaining issue is constipation, which I try to manage through over-the-counter laxatives and prescription medication once a day. Over two months, I lost 25 pounds (235 lbs down to 210 lbs)! My daily fasting blood sugar results are down 20-25 points from before starting Ozempic (A1C to be tested in one more month) and managing my energy level by ensuring enough carb and protein intake. So far, so good!"

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "Lots of annoying side effects without losing any weight the first 4 months. Didn't lose any weight until I started exercising with a diet of less than 1,000 calories a day. Worse side effects: significant sleepiness, especially after eating, severe indigestion, and GERD. Injections easy to do and usually no associated pain. Am finishing my last dose of 1.7 mg this week, and after all these months, I have finally lost 9 lbs, all in the last month, once I started bike riding and water aerobics. But you have to decide if the side effects are worth it. I am retired, so I have been taking a 2-hour nap almost daily since I feel extremely tired a few hours after getting up in the morning. I have felt generally unwell the whole time I have taken it, although I am able to continue my life as usual. I can't wait to get off it, although they say it may be a lifelong medication. I hope that my body will eventually get used to it."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "First 4 weeks I injected 0.25 mg units once a week. Second 2 weeks I injected 0.50 mg units once a week. I have lost 7 lbs. I am injecting 40% less insulin. My A1c has reduced from 7.0 to 6.6. This all sounds great, but the adverse side effects have me on the verge of stopping my use of Ozempic permanently. I have experienced confusion, dizziness, nausea, unusual tiredness, weakness, passing gas, and feeling the need to vomit, these are the most prevalent side effects. The side effects are interfering with my lifestyle too much."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I’ve been on Ozempic for about 3 months. Always feel full. The uncomfortable kind of full. I get heartburn. Bowel movements were super slow to empty. General unwell feeling after I take the injection. Very quickly lost 10 lbs. I feel super exhausted. I just turned 60. I really don't like the way I feel but deal with it and hope and pray the side effects go away. I will try injections on the thigh rather than the belly area and pray it helps. Meantime, I'm going to get Prilosec and hope that helps the heartburn. I took Victoza previously and felt amazing. But still high sugars."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been on Ozempic for Type 2 diabetes. Was overweight as well, I am 4'11 and had ballooned to over 170 pounds. I was taking medicine for blood pressure, anxiety, depression, you know, all the things. I started in March 2022. My A1c was 7.9. Today I am down to 105 (hold up, that is normal for my height). No more high pressure. Beginning, I wasn't sure I would get past the nausea, but I fought through it, and yes, it does go away. I have been on stool softeners for a while, so I have never had any issues going to the restroom. My A1c is 5.4 now. I don't feel good, though. I can't put my finger on it, but I am severely exhausted and fatigued. I will not trash this medicine because I think it works as it should and has been amazing for diabetics. I just wish I didn't feel like poo all the time. The side effects do subside over time. My doctor and I have found the perfect dosing and schedule for me to keep my blood sugar under control."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been on Rybelsus for 11 days now. The first few days were horrible. I had diarrhea and stomach pains, even threw up twice. I am still having side effects on day 11 but not as bad. I’m taking Zofran for the nausea. I have already lost 8 lbs, which I’m sure is not healthy, but I don’t have an appetite on this medication. Before this medication, I would eat all the time, it seemed like I never was full. My sugar levels are as low as they’ve ever been. I am tired and have lower energy. I'm hoping after another week on it the side effects will subside. I have been struggling with weight loss my whole adult life and can never break through the plateau phase. I think this medication will help if I can withstand the side effects."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Bad stomach pains and nausea/diarrhea the day of the shot and for a day or two after, and extreme tiredness. On week 8 and .50 dose. Hardly can eat solid foods, full within 4 or 5 bites, but not losing weight as promised- I don't like it so far, just misery!"

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "My first week, I felt tired and had no energy. Mild, intermittent nausea. Guess that's the appetite suppressant part. After the first 3 days, I started getting quite a bit of stomach discomfort and diarrhea. Anything I ate or drank went right through me, as well as gas. Also, an unusual amount of belching. Hope this goes away soon and does not happen after every dose. I teach 4-year-olds, and it greatly affected my ability to do my job. My BS numbers are not much different."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Ozempic has reduced my blood sugar levels, and I have lost weight. At first, I experienced stomach pain and gastrointestinal issues frequently. It’s been about three months, and those symptoms only come from eating the wrong foods now. I am tired, have some anxiety, but my biggest issue is at night with my legs. They have been extremely jumpy, uncomfortable, and sometimes painful. It is letting up a bit over time. I am hoping to lose enough weight to help reduce, if not eliminate, my diabetes medication. I have stopped taking Actos but am still on Metformin along with Ozempic. I am on the highest dosage of Ozempic at 2 mg."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I tested borderline diabetic and am overweight, so I was prescribed .5 mg Ozempic once per week. I started it six weeks ago and have lost about 3% of my body weight. I have been eating less and more healthfully, but haven't been as active as I'd like. Right within 12 hours of my first dose, I felt nauseous, tired, and just plain sick. Constipated. I was hoping the side effects would go away, they haven't. I can pretty much write off the two days after a dose because I feel so ill and very tired. It has taught me not to eat too late before bed because I get severe reflux and usually make myself vomit. I wish it worked, but for me, I think it's a no. I'm weaning myself off, injecting .25 mg until I've used all the Ozempic."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "Ozempic is definitely helpful in lowering my A1C, and for that, I am very grateful. I have struggled with type 2 diabetes for over thirty years. However, I am enduring dizziness, mild nausea, tiredness, and a general feeling of being unwell. In the days of my elevated sugar count, I actually felt well, without any of these symptoms. I am experimenting with the dosage of Ozempic and intend to cut back to the 0.5 mg dose next week. I just can't handle the 1 mg."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have type 2 diabetes and I am obese. I started this medication in November 2023. I stopped using it for three months due to a shortage in the market in my country. I used 0.25mg for the first month, 0.5mg for the next three months, and 1mg for two months. The last dose of 1mg was taken on May 17, 2024. In November, I weighed 91kg, and I have reached 75kg or perhaps even less now. For my health, I feel significantly better while working or going upstairs. Regarding side effects, I experienced tiredness, vomiting, headaches, nausea, constipation, and stomach pain."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am 5'6" and weighed 182 on May 19, 2023, when I started semaglutide at the local weight loss center. My weight is down 22 lbs, and I am happy about the way I'm looking. I should mention I am a 68-year-old active senior and work out M-F with moderately high intensity. My dose is 1.2 now to keep the cravings away. My goal weight is 150 lbs, and I'm at 162 lbs now. I do not drink, but when I've had 1 or 2 (max) alcoholic drinks, I am in misery the next day with a very bad hangover feeling. Also, if I make fruit cobblers or anything sweet and I eat it, I feel lousy the next day. I have lived off of Pepcid and bicarbonate water this entire treatment time. Exercise is difficult without the Pepcid, as I feel reflux during high jumps or deep bends. My mood is grouchy sometimes because of the tiredness and intermittent waves of nausea that are random. Still, it's the best way I've ever lost weight because it works."

Semaglutide "Yes, I've lost weight, 4-5 pounds in 4 weeks, and this was a goal. However, I don't feel like myself physically, I'm tired and feel weak. I can't really explain the feeling. Maybe a little light-headed, but I make sure to drink water and eat small portions."

Semaglutide for Type 2 Diabetes "I have been taking Ozempic for about 4 months now. Haven’t had really bad side effects, but sometimes I feel just exhausted and somewhat out of breath. I also have muscle aches and fatigue. Not lost a lot of weight, maybe 2 lbs. I keep hoping. Does anyone else have similar side effects? Good luck and all the best results for everyone."

For Type 2 Diabetes "So far, so good. The first time (and only time so far) I took Wegovy, it did make me nauseous and tired for a full day. I hope this doesn't happen every time. After a few days, I didn't feel the need to eat as much. Hopefully, it brings my blood sugar down and I lose a few pounds."

It has helped me control my blood sugar levels, I have also lost 16 pounds, but the weight loss seems to have halted. It's now June 2023. For the last two weeks, I have felt tired the day after injecting it, and my blood pressure didn't change on the days I was tired."

Semaglutide for Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I am on week 4 of Wegovy, the first 2 doses were 0.25 mg. The last 2 were 0.5 mg. I've had stomach pains and nausea to the point I'm in tears, it aches so much. My weight is going from 221 lbs to 215 lbs, I'm 5'9". I hardly eat for fear of worsening stomach issues. While my pharmacist says the side effects should go away by now, they haven't. I also have no energy, want to sleep, and have a hard time getting my blood sugar above 98, that's after a healthy meal with protein and a vegetable. Not sure this is worth it."
