For Type 2 Diabetes "I have type 2 diabetes and I am obese. I started this medication in November 2023. I stopped using it for three months due to a shortage in the market in my country. I used 0.25mg for the first month, 0.5mg for the next three months, and 1mg for two months. The last dose of 1mg was taken on May 17, 2024. In November, I weighed 91kg, and I have reached 75kg or perhaps even less now. For my health, I feel significantly better while working or going upstairs. Regarding side effects, I experienced tiredness, vomiting, headaches, nausea, constipation, and stomach pain."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Started with 4 weeks of .25 mg injections and have now had two .5 injections. Was administering the injection at noon on Sundays. Each time, I'd start feeling queasy and burpy after about 24 hours. I'd feel like I was on the verge of throwing up, but for the most part would keep it down. Then on Monday of this week (after my 2nd .50 dose), like clockwork, I started feeling queasy. But this time it was a much stronger sensation, until the point that I projectile vomited about 5 times. After that was over, I felt better - UNTIL about 5 hours later, when the process repeated itself. I think it was likely due to the fact that I had some pizza and a cherry Coke that day, which was a stupid thing for me to do. So anyway, I hadn't eaten anything in 48 hours besides some cantaloupe, and now I'm experiencing mild nausea. I'm going to stick this Ozempic experience out for a while longer in the hope that eventually the side effects subside."

For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I started Ozempic 2 months. The beginning of the 2nd month, I was up to 0.5. The day after that injection, I became really sick. Nausea and running to a sink to vomit. I could not even take my regular medications. This went on for about a week until the symptoms subsided. I did not lose an ounce of weight. The doctor has advised me to start over with 4 clicks of the pen. Stay with that amount for a month. That amount may be all I can tolerate. I will try again, but if I cannot tolerate that amount, I will have to discontinue."

For Type 2 Diabetes "The first dose I took (0.25 mg) I had nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea for three days. The second dose was also 0.25 mg. Thereafter, the dose increased to 0.5 mg, and I have found that my glucose readings have stabilized to just below 7. I am now in my 7th week. I occasionally have a loose stool, perhaps once a month. My appetite has reduced a lot, and I have lost weight. I haven't weighed myself, but I would say about 6 kg. I feel good. I do need more sleep, and my body craves rest."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I've been taking Ozempic since the beginning of March 2025. My starting dose was 0.25 and I am now at 1.0. At the time I started, I weighed about 193 and am now weighing 156 lbs. The only side effects I seem to be dealing with and do not like are nausea, vomiting, and constipation. Ozempic has curbed my appetite considerably, as well as my liquid intake, which I don't mind since I've lost a lot of my weight. Right now, my biggest problem is finding clothes to fit me and deciding if I should keep my old clothes or donate them. I really haven't bought much in the way of new clothes in part because I don't know how much more weight I am going to lose, plus the expense of buying new clothes. My goal is to weigh somewhere between 135 and 140. My A1c is down from 8.9 to 8.1, I would like that to be lower, like 7.1."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I have been on Ozempic for 6 months now. My weight has dropped from 134 kg to 102 kg, a loss of 32 kilograms. I was unwell for the first 2 months, but things settled after that. However, during the past month, I have started getting really bad nausea with some vomiting, diarrhea, and burping (sulfur taste). The doctor has dropped me back down to 0.5 mg dose to see if it improves. I do not take any other medication. HbA1 has gone from 7.1 down to 5.7. Blood glucose is in the 4.9 to 5.8 range. I must stress that for this to work, you have to watch what you are eating and do regular exercise."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I just started taking the 0.5 after taking the 0.25 for 4 weeks. I'm experiencing nausea, some vomiting, and bad stomach cramps, so I really don't know if I'm going to be able to keep taking it. It has curved my appetite some."

For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "Just took my 2nd dose. When I started last week, I did have some nausea, and I did vomit once, but I had eaten quite a bit at dinner before I took it. I injected in the thigh. After that first night, everything settled down, and I feel great. I have MS, and for some reason, I am seeing quite a change in my symptoms for the better. I have GERD and take 40 mg of omeprazole and 20 mg of Pepcid. These drugs have really helped with nausea. My doctor said this is what he would prescribe to other patients he had put on Ozempic. I am down 5 pounds this week. You don’t get hungry at all, so make sure you have some small meals throughout the day so you get your proper nutrition and vitamins. Just this week alone, I have noticed my cravings have stopped for sweets and junk food."

"I was a 59-year-old woman, and at 5'4" tall, I weighed 212 lbs. My knees had been replaced a couple of years ago, as well as back and foot surgery. I was in constant pain and miserable. Eight months later, I am proud to say I am at 159 and stalled out. I need to get out and walk more, and that'll help. I am not overeating or eating junk... it just stalls out on occasion. I feel SO much better! I move with ease and don't groan getting up from my chair! The day after my weekly shot, I do get nauseated. On occasion, I will vomit. It's not terrible, and it is well worth it!"

For Type 2 Diabetes "This is my first week (5 days in) and the dosage is 0.25 mg. Extreme nausea and occasional vomiting for three days, then abrupt cessation of those symptoms. Still have an appetite with occasional craving for sugar but much diminished. No weight loss yet, but I am trying to be patient. I am a nurse practitioner and expected that it would be easy to administer. I am embarrassed to say that I had a difficult time with the instructions, but I finally was successful. The instructions and the device itself were far too complicated, I thought. It was not intuitive at all. But, I am hopeful for success at both blood sugar management as well as weight loss. Thank you."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Reduced blood sugar from 10 to 7.1. Killed my hunger completely, no more food cravings. Side effects became disabling, had to discontinue using. Became bloated, nausea was bad, 1st time I have vomited in 50 years, fatigue, constipation, going to the emergency room as no doctors available to help."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I had my first 0.25 injection on Monday morning. I have had nausea from about 2 hours after injection, then the severe stomach cramps started, followed by vomiting. I have not eaten a meal since Sunday evening. Today, the cramps have been the worst, and now the diarrhea has started. I work full time, and this is the worst drug ever. Anyone know how long it takes to leave your system?"

For Type 2 Diabetes "I’m in my second month of Ozempic. The first dose level (0.25 mg) wasn’t difficult. I felt good, with minimal nausea, mostly fatigued and gassy. Moved up to 0.5 mg 3 days ago, and oh boy, nausea ++ heartburn ++ have vomited twice. Holding out because I had been running with very high blood sugars due to poor diet and med compliance, peeing every 2 seconds, and drinking the well dry, but now I sleep all night, have to remind myself to drink, so those are the symptoms I prefer. I feel lighter and my clothes feel looser, haven’t weighed myself yet."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I am 20 years old and was diagnosed at age 17 with type 2 diabetes. My A1C started off not bad, I was pre-diabetic for a year and then progressed to diabetes. I’ve been on metformin for 4 years and am currently on 2500 mg. I got my A1C blood test back and it was high, so my doctor recommended Ozempic. I’ve been on it for 5 weeks and it was horrible. I was vomiting nearly every day, had terrible cramps, especially at night, so painful I couldn’t sleep, horrible, disgusting-smelling burps like eggs, and the nausea was horrendous. I haven’t had much of an appetite, sometimes the thought of food makes me feel sick. I’ve lost 6 kg in this time, but I’m not entirely sure it’s worth it. I’m currently on 0.25 mg at the moment and due for an increase to 0.50 mg. I’m not sure if I will stay on it. It’s incredibly hard to find supply as everyone wants it, and it kind of makes me mad that people are taking it off-label when there are genuine people with type 2 who need it."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "I need help to decide if Ozempic is good for me. The side effects scare me: nausea, vomiting, constipation, and exhaustion. Yikes! I really need the weight loss, though. I really want to try it. I'm curious if insurance will cover it."
