For Type 2 Diabetes "I was scared at first, just like I guess anybody. Now from the commercials on TV about lawsuits, and you could get cancer or kidney problems, pancreatic cancer or gallbladder problems. But I ain't going to lie, I like it. It's not bothering me whatsoever. I've lost weight, my blood sugars not what it's supposed to be, but it's came down a lot. It's very expensive, thank God I've got insurance that will pay for it. But other than, you know, maybe a couple of stomach aches that I had right at first, it's leveled off and it's fine, and I'm on the lowest dose there is, my doctor said. So I'm fixing to up it, hopefully, and let's see how much weight I can lose and how much better my blood levels can get!!! I recommend you give it a try and see if it will work as good on you too. I'm not getting paid for writing this. I don't write reviews a lot sometimes, but I didn't have nothing else to do, so I thought I would... I'm 52 years old, I'm overweight, and I take metformin. Also, my blood sugar is getting better. 5⭐s"

For Type 2 Diabetes "Started Ozempic in January 2019. I have lost 24 lbs, and my A1C has gone down. My appetite has been cut in half. The only side effect I have had was in the beginning: slight headaches. Those have gone away. If I overeat, I’ll get a sour stomach. But other than that, I didn’t get those bad effects I have been reading about. Definitely happy with the results."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I’m into my 5th week and have increased to .5. In addition to diabetes type 2, I have PCOS and IBS. I’ve been doing well so far, other than a mild headache and stomach upset. My appetite is obliterated, and I have to make sure I’m eating regularly. Otherwise, nausea and lightheadedness end up being my trigger to eat because I’ve gone too long in between meals. It’s been confusing for me, as overeating has always been an issue. Now I have no desire to eat and am working at adjusting by eating small portions throughout the day. I’m definitely losing weight, which is much needed. In addition to Ozempic, I take Metformin and Tradjenta, which I’ve been on for a very long time. This week, my fasting blood sugar decreased from 155 to 135. That makes me happy."

For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I started with 0.25 at 170 lbs and was hopeful. 1st and 2nd injection, no problem, I thought, but I had gained 2 pounds, very constipated. 3rd injection, everything changed, less than 12 hours, the worst stomach cramps ever, on the stool every 20 minutes for the next 10 hours, bearing down so hard it was like labor pains. I started passing blood, and my urine became so dark it looked like apple juice. I took the last injection on Friday, that problem did not clear up until late Tuesday afternoon. I did call the doctor, he put me on antibiotics. There is no reversal for this medication. It was not for me."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Month 1, I was started on Ozempic at 0.25 mg and had very mild symptoms of bloating and reduced appetite. Month 2 & 3, uncomfortable. Stomach cramps, gas, and diarrhea probably for 4 days after injection. This can be really embarrassing in a small office. By the end of Month 3, I was feeling quite a bit better. At this point, my HbA1c was down to 5.2 from 9.4, I had virtually no diabetic symptoms. No blurred vision, no numbness in fingers and toes, and I was sleeping through the night without visits to the bathroom. And I lost 16 kilo in weight. Month 4 to 7. OMG. Increasing to 1 mg, the side effects are horrendous. Weight loss has stalled, though this is probably due to lockdown. The sickness and eggy burps are constant, and now my doctor says it will be at least 6 months before the side effects could be gone. But I have no diabetic symptoms, my HbA1c is pretty much normal, and I think the effort has been worth it. Not an easy journey, but worthwhile."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Been on this for almost a year. Have had type 2 for 18 years now. A1C's always in the 6.5-7.5 range. Was primarily using Humalog to control BS. With Ozempic, sugars stay lower. The peaks aren't as high, and don't have to use as much insulin. The only side effect I get is diarrhea and stomach cramps (mainly gas buildup) 12-48 hours after taking it. On occasion, I will get nauseated. I have stayed on .25 and never increased. So far, I like this drug, and those side effects are manageable. As long as I'm near a toilet the first 48 hours, just in case."

For Type 2 Diabetes "25-year-old female taking Ozempic for PCOS and insulin resistance. I take Ozempic along with a strict paleo diet and workout regime. Started on 0.25 for 3 weeks with severe nausea and flu-like symptoms for the first 1.5 weeks. Felt terrible. Only remaining symptoms are constipation and upset stomach if I make a bad food choice. I have been taking 0.5 since May, Dr. not upping my dose to 1. Started taking Ozempic in April 2019 and was 193 lbs and last week weighed in at 177.4 lbs. Lots of people seem to have very severe symptoms, but I have been lucky and have not had any issues with ongoing problems or anything serious enough to skip work or end up in a hospital."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I have been on Ozempic for 3 weeks. Yes, it is making me lose weight, obviously because I'm so nauseated all the time that I can't eat. I have stomach cramps, constipation, headaches, body aches, and nausea so severe that sometimes I can't even lift my head up. I'm really trying to give it a chance since a once-a-week injection seems better than taking a bunch of pills. I just don't know how much longer I can suffer with the terrible nausea and stabbing stomach pains."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I've been on Ozempic 0.25 for five weeks, it's great for losing weight, but the side effects are not worth it. Let me review what Ozempic has been like. The first three weeks were okay, and then I started noticing nausea, stomach burning, headache, dizziness, upper back pain, severe constipation, and feeling very tired and depressed. I ended up in the ER with a mild pancreatic attack and high lipase levels. I've had no desire to eat or even drink water. It makes me gag, and I used to drink a lot of water. I'm done with these injections. I will stay on my metformin, but I can do better on a healthy eating lifestyle than on Ozempic and all the negative side effects. Quality of life has gone from a 10 to a 1, and that is not me. I'm taking my life back. It's really just healthy eating, and we can all do that with willpower. Good luck to everyone else."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I started a little over 2 months ago. I was excited when the doctor told me that this would help me lose weight. I was 235 at the time, and PCOS makes it hard to lose. Was warned of nausea but figured I'd be okay. Wasn't warned about sour stomach and sulfur belches. I started with the .25 mg dose. I learned what I could eat to steer clear of the sulfur burps. After 4 weeks, I moved to .5 mg and again had the sulfur burps. Had to re-learn eating limits. Last week, I moved up to 1.0 mg and didn't really have any issues until the day I was supposed to take the next dose. The discomfort was bearable. I took my injection and for the last 2 days have been nauseous. Went to bed this evening and am having trouble staying asleep. Anytime I move, the contents of my stomach shift and I feel like I'm going to be sick. 2 days prior to the last dose, I was told that my sugar has gone from the 350s to 88-120, but my weight loss is nowhere near what it should be. I hope it gets better soon."

For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "Two days after my first injection, I had horrible sulfur burps that were making me feel sick. By that evening, I had horrific stomach cramps; by 11:30 pm, I had uncontrollable diarrhea! My prescriber advised me to eat six small meals a day and that the symptoms would improve with each injection. I left it twelve days before my next one (as I had a couple of social things I didn’t want to miss if it happened again) and thought at first it was better. A headache day one, nausea on day two, but sulfur burps again by day three. I got indigestion medicine, but it didn’t even touch it. That night, same again; cramps, diarrhea, more burps, and this time intense nausea too. I decided at that point it might not be for me! I really hope it helps some people lose weight, but don’t expect a quick easy fix! I actually felt fatter the whole time I was on it as I was so bloated and tender."

For Weight Loss (Obesity/Overweight) "On December 19, 2022, I saw my medical provider and requested a prescription for Ozempic. She agreed that at 5’3” and weighing 192 lbs, it would be a good option for me. I started Ozempic on January 3, 2023. The first time I weighed myself after starting Ozempic was at the beginning of February, and I weighed 179 lbs. Through February, my weight bounced between 181-175, then I lost another 5 lbs in the first two weeks of March. I’m hoping to reach 160 by mid-April. My weight goal is 130-135. I am very happy with Ozempic’s effect on my weight loss. I have had assorted side effects. I had two days of extreme headaches after my first dose, but I’ve only had mild headaches with dosage increases since. My stomach is mild to moderately upset most of the time, and most of the time I don’t have much appetite. I’m at a 1 mg/week dosage now, and I’ve started having a lot of bad-tasting burps, but constipation is by far my worst side effect. I don’t know if I would have bowel movements without laxatives."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Endo gave me a 1-month sample for type II. Just into my second week at 0.25. Initially, upset stomach and diarrhea. Wouldn't say nausea per se, more like a stomach ache. Diarrhea wasn't crampy and prolonged like metformin. Appetite really decreased. Sugars started going down about 3-4 days in, and symptoms lessened by day 6. But.... weight gain of 3 lbs! What the...? Just on day 2 of the 2nd week, no nausea, but still eating less. Not peeing as much and waking up earlier and easier, and morning sugars down from 11-12ish to 8-9ish. I will be disappointed if I am the rare one that gains weight though."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I took my first dose of Ozempic on May 23rd. Two days later, side effects began. My stomach started burning, frequent diarrhea, and profuse vomiting. I cannot hold anything on my stomach, and I have lost over 13 lb in 3 days. The side effects are horrible. I have contacted my doctor with hopes to get relief from the side effects! The pain is horrible. I do not recommend Ozempic!"

For Type 2 Diabetes "I just took my second dose on Friday of 0.5. I feel like garbage, no energy, tired, stomachache. I work out 4 days a week and I just can’t seem to find the energy to work out. I may stop using this drug because I’m so active and the past few days I can’t seem to do much. Appetite is gone completely. I don’t like that I have lost a few pounds but not the right way. I feel like I am starving myself, this is not for me."

For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I started Ozempic for weight loss (PCOS) on June 27th. In 10 weeks, I have lost 12 lbs. It has been slow going, but I believe it's a sustainable rate so long as the medication continues to suppress my appetite. I ramped slowly up to the 1mg dose (6 weeks @ .25, 4 weeks @ .5, and then up to 1mg), which I think helped with minimizing extreme side effects. I did have nausea and occasional upset stomach the day after injecting, but it would usually subside within a day. The worst side effect I've had is an increase in acid reflux, but I've been able to manage that with omeprazole pretty well. Worth a shot if you suffer from binge eating disorder or if you are on the verge of being diabetic! Everyone's experience will vary, but I have found success with it so far."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Started on Ozempic 5 months ago for diabetes 2. Started at 0.25, then 0.50, now at 1.00, and so far I lost weight - 35 lbs. But I’m feeling really fatigued, dizzy, and occasional stomach ache, diarrhea, and my eyesight has changed. Great drug for lowering A1C and losing weight, but the side effects are horrible. I think I’m done taking this drug. Side effects are getting worse."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Been on Ozempic since March 2019, started off with 0.25, then 0.50, then to 1 mg. Side effects: nauseous, constipated, with fever. One month into taking Ozempic, started to have blood in my urine, no infection, CT, blood clots, bladder scope, bladder okay. CT with contrast upcoming to check kidneys, and my urine tests are concerning the PA. When giving the shot, medicine would make a bubble under the skin, then welt up 1 inch wide, 3 inches in length, and at least a .5 inch depth, 36 hours later with high fever, diarrhea, stomach cramps, large amounts of blood clots in urine, 3 times. Called Ozempic, which requested the medication back and sent a voucher for a new script. I have been taking this for 4 months, note I am not a doctor, just concerned, so I believe this could be a drug that has not been fully evaluated and may not have full understanding, or it's an odd situation for myself. However, these symptoms did not show up until on Ozempic. So for my own health, I have opted not to continue this drug."

For Cardiovascular Risk Reduction "I started Ozempic last Wednesday. Nausea, upset stomach, and profuse vomiting. I’ve already gone to the ER for fluids last Thursday and now back today for more fluids. I know it’s going to improve my A1C, weight, and BP, but I’m not sure if I can go on this sick. I go back for my 1 week tomorrow."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I started Ozempic about 3 months ago at .25 mg. My doctor made me start my 1st dose on a Monday in her office because I would tell her I would try and then never do it. Tuesday morning I was good, then by Tuesday night, stomach cramps, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, till the wee hours of the morning. The symptoms slowed down throughout the week. Even though I was losing at least 3-4 pounds a week, a total of 35 pounds within a 2 1/2 month period. My A1C did go down, the side effects are deadly. I like the fact that I am losing weight, but I hope I don't have permanent damage from this medication."

For Type 2 Diabetes "It was good on low dosage 0.25, but after 2 months, it loses effect, and you need to increase the dose. Still fine, I lost 30 pounds, but then you have to increase the dosage, and that's when I got stomach aches and diarrhea, and I had to stop it."

For Type 2 Diabetes "I have been on Ozempic for 9 weeks. I have not increased my dose due to stomach issues, I just stayed at .25. My A1C is starting to come down slowly. Have a 3-month check-in in 2 weeks. It was 10.2, then dropped to 9. I do feel weak and dizzy, and I dropped low in the morning and at night. Sometimes in the middle of the day. Yes, I am bloated. My weight was 220, lost 4 lbs, and I gained weight, so then 222. I have lost weight and I am down to 217. Hope this weight loss continues."

For Type 2 Diabetes "Took my first dose of .25 on 9/11 with no side effects at all. When I took the second dose was when everything went bad. After about 1 hour after the 2nd dose, I noticed my stomach started tightening up, so I didn't think much of it until I started driving and vomiting all over the place. Was vomiting for about 12 hours, then started getting bad stomach cramps. Today is 9/19, and I decided that I'm not taking this no more and wouldn't recommend this to anyone, not even my worst enemy. THIS STUFF IS NOT GOOD AT ALL!!"
